The Raghav's, the Bhallas and the only Arora were all gather in the living room of Bhalla Mansion making the last minute preparations of IshRa's anniversary party that was to take place the next evening.
Although it was not a surprise party, Ishita and Raman had their own plans to surprise each other but a fear gripped them.
What fear!? You will soon know😉
"Aaj bahut thak gaya. Mera sar bahut dard kar raha hai. Ek adrakwali chai milti to achha lagta" Raman faked a headache as he wanted an excuse to have some lone time with...

No it's not with Ishita that he wanted to have a lone time...He wanted to have some lone time with his family.

Ummm...Haan...Raman wanted to spend some lone time with his family.
"Mai bana lati hoon puttar...Mihir, Abhi tum logon keliye bhi bana laun?" Toshiji asked.
"Haan Mummyji" replied the duo.
"Chalo ji changa hai. Mai bana lati hoon" Toshi said raising from her seat.
"Arrey Maa! Aap kyun takleef kar rahi ho? Aap baitho na. Kitna to kaam karti ho din bhar. Ishita bana layegi" Raman said making Toshi sit back forecefully.
"Koi gal nai puttar. Mai bana lungi. Ishita ki tabiyat waise bhi kuch dinon se theek bhi nahi hai. Usko yahan baitke ye gifts pack karne de. Mai bana lati hoon" Toshi reassured.
"Arey Maaa...Samjha karo...Ishita ko hi banane do chai. Uske hath ki adrakwali chai mujhe bahut pasand hai" he winked at Toshi and signaled from his hand to play along.
Toshi did not know what he was upto. Yet she decided to play along.
"Raman. Aap theek to hain na? Apko mere hath ki chai peeni hai? Apko to sirf mere hath ki bani coffee achi lagti hai, chai to bilkul bhi nahi pasand" Ishita expressed her confusion.
Raman was caught in his own words now "Wo to mai bas aise hi tumko chedne keliye bolta hoon. Warna to mujhe tumhare hath ki chai bahuuut pasand hai" he extended his hand to show how much while his face showed a different emotion which clearly said how much he disliked the tea she made.
"Tu rehne de bhai. Shakal dekh apni. Khud hi pata chal jayega ke tu bas Ishita ko ullu bana raha hai" Simmi was quick to catch him.
Raman was baffled but his saviour friend, Abhimanyu, was quick to realise that he was cooking up something and hence answered on his behalf "Simmi. Tum iske shakal pe kyun ja rahi hoon. Iski shakal to aisa hi hai bachpan se. Kehta kuch hai, karta kuch hai. Kyun Raman?" Abhi winked at him after saving him and the same time annoying him.
Raman had no choice but to agree with whatever Abhi said "Haan of course" he said with gritted teeth and added while looking at Simmi and Ishita with a puppy face "Bhaavnaaon ko samjho"
Simmi and Ishita exchanged looks "Pata nahi aap logon ko kya hogaya hai. Par koi baat nahi, mai chai bana lati hun" Ishita said and went into the kitchen.
"Chal kya raha hai Bhai?" Mihir asked behind Ishita's back.
"Wo mai ye kehna chah raha tha ke..." Raman began to say but before he could complete Ishita came back.
"Mummyji aapne wo saunt ka powder kahan rakha hai?" she asked.
"Tumsaunt ke powder se banaogi chai? Nahi nahi. Mujhe fresh adrak ki hi chai chahye. Tum adrak ko cheel ke, koot ke daal dena chai me. Aur khoob saara daalna. Theek hai. Ab tum jao" Raman quickly gave her instructions.
"Aap ajeeb ho Raman!" she exclaimed and stomped towards the kitchen disinterestedly.
'Yahan pe kuch batana khatre se khali nahi. Ye madrasan kabhi bhi aa dhamkegi. Aur usko shak bhi ho gaya hai to uske kaan khade hi honge. To mai in logon ko room me hi bula leta hun' he thought and quickly whispered to the 4 of them to meet him in his room in a while.
"Ishita jab tak chai banati hai tab tak mai washroom ho ata hun" Raman announced aloud so that Ishita doesn't doubt him.
As soon as he left, Simmi, Abhi, Mihir and Toshi were making plans to go meet Raman in his room as per his instructions.
Meanwhile Ishita was more than happy that she was getting some lone time with the family. She was waiting for this opportunity and here she had it even before she asked for it. She thanked God and then Raman for unknowingly having helped her.
She left the job at hand and quickly strode to where the family had gathered.
"Suno...suno...suno...Mujhe aap sabse kuch kehna hai. Isse pehle ke Raman wapas aa jayein meri baat ghour se suniye.
Meri ek request hai aap sab se. Aap logon ne agar 12 baje hamare room me aake humein anniversary wish karne ki sochi hai to please us plan ko cancel kar dijiye. Kyunki mai Raman ko sabse pehle wish karna chahti hoon, aur maine unke liye ek surprise plan kiya hai. Pichle saal shadi ke pehel din pe Raman keliye surprise date plan karne me aap sabne meri help ki thi. Is baar bhi kar dijiye please...please...please" Ishita requested with folded hands.
"Itna please please please karne ki zarurat nahi hai Bhabi. Hum nahi aayenge...Fikar na karo" Mihir assured and the others agreed.
"Thank you so much. You are the best family in the world" she exclaimed happily.
"Wo to hai. Aur iska poora credit menu jaata hai" Toshi lifted her imaginary collar.
"Maaa" came a call from Raman's room.
There he was getting impatient and wondering why his family was not there yet.
Here, they knew that this was a signal or rather an alarm for them to gather in his room ASAP.
"Ishita tune chai ke liye paani chadha diya kya?" Simmi asked wisely diverting Ishita's attention.
"Ayyo bhool hi gayi" she said slapping her forehead and running to the kitchen.
Now the 4 of them silently assembled in Raman's room.
"Kitni der laga di aap logon ne" Raman began "Haan wo sab chodiye. Ab suniye. Agar aap logon ka koi plan hai 12 baje hamare room me aa dhamakne ka to I am telling you, get it cancelled right now. Agar kisi ne ane ki himmat ki to mai bata raha hun, to uski khair nahi" he warned.
"Bhai aap bekar me hume dhamki deke darane ki koshish kar rahe ho. Pehli baat to aapki dhamki se humein dar nahi lagta hai, aur doosra ye ke hum to waise bhi na aate. Humein pehle hi bhab..." Abhi pressed Mihir's shoulder and clamped his mouth before he would spill the beans.
"Pehle hi kya?" Raman asked suspicioulsy.
"Humne pehle hi soch liya tha ke hum aaj rath Bhabi aur tumhe disturb nahi karna chahte. Yahi keh raha tha na tu Mihir?" Abhi said.
"Haan haan. Yahi keh raha tha mai bhai" Mihir lied.
"Fine then. Ab aap log jao, isse pehle ke Ishita ko shak ho jaye"
"Tu jaa. Hum aate hain" Toshi sent him out of the room.
As soon as he left, the 4 of them had a good laugh at the couple.
"Dono kitne paapad bel rahe hain aaj rath keliye" Toshi commented.
"Jabke unhe ye wali paapad belne ki zarurat hi nahi thi. Kyunki hum to waise bhi na jaate. Marriage Anniversary unki hai, par in a way anniversary to apni bhi hai. Hai na Simmi?" Abhi asked putting a hand around Simmi's shoulder.
"Of course...Aaj hi ke din to Bhai ne hamare rishte keliye haan kar di thi" Simmi reminded.
"Oh...to isiliye aapne Nirvan ko Mummyji ke room me sulaya aur guest room ko honeymoon suite ki tarah sajaya?" Mihir guessed.
"Haaye...Sachhi?" Simmi was surprised.
"Yaar tu bhi na...Saare surprises ka falooda kar de" Abhi smacked Mihir for spoiling his surprise.
"Simmi di dekho na. Aapke pati mujhe maar rahe hain" Mihir complained.
"Rehne do na Abhi. Surprise to mai hui na" Simmi tried to defend her brother-like cousin.
"Biwi ke bolne pe chod raha hun Saale...warna teri khair nahi thi" Abhi threatened him while Mihir grinned sheepishly.
"Surprise to ab khul hi chuka hai. Toh Mrs. Simran Abhimanyu Raghav...

Hum wahan jate hain" Abhi asked like a gentleman extending his hand for Simmi.
"Chaliye" said Simmi placing her hand in his.
"Yeh love birds to chale apni yaadon ko taaza karne, aur wo love birds apni anniversary ki tayyari me lage hain. Aur mai reh gaya ek bechara bachelor aur thodi der me shuru honewala hai valentines day. Ab mere naseeb me to bas aap hi reh gaye ho. Toh Mrs. Toshi Bhalla will you be my valentine?" Mihir went on his knees and spoke dramatically.
"Khote na hoyde. Tujhe mai hi mili flirt karne keliye. Hat pare" Toshi smacked him.
"Hey Bhagwan! Mai kya mandir ki ghanti hoon? Jo har koi mujhe bajake jaa raha hai?" Mihir complained to God.
"Oye nautanki...Ab yahn se chal. Warna Raman bhi aake tujhe baja dega" Toshi reminded him.
"Oh haan" Mihir said realising that he was in Raman's room and had to vacate it before he comes back.
IshRa bedroom (11:45 pm)
Ishita and Raman were lying on the bed, their backs facing each other.
Ishita was sneakily checking the bedside clock, while Raman was checking his watch every now and then.
Both knew that the other was wide awake and simply faking a sleep. Both wanted to be the first to wish the other.
'Ye to so hi nahi rahe. Lagta hai yahi pehle bol denge. Pichli baar to unhe hi mouqa mila tha Happy Valentines Day wish karne ka. Isliye is baar ye mouqa mujhe milna chahye' Ishita thought.
'Lagta hai is baar ye poori tayyari me hai pehle wish karne keliye. But mai bhi is mouqe k haath se jaane nahi denewala' Raman thought.
'Kuch kar Ishu. Warna ye is baar bhi baazi maar jayenge' Ishita begin to plot.
She looked at the clock. 11:57 it said.
"Uhu uhu uhu uhu" she started to cough.
He ignored at first. The cough got louder and he was now worried.
"Kya hua Ishita?" he said switching on the bedside lamp.
Ishita coughed louder and was not able to say anything. She signalled towards the water jug placed on his side.
She quickly glanced at the clock expectantly while he poured a glass of water for her. 11:59 it said. 'Ayyo...abhi bhi ek min hai...kuch aur bhi karna padega' she thought while Raman handed her the glass of water.
She deliberately spilled the water on her dress. "Tissue Raman Tissue" she said hurriedly.
"Haan haan ek minute" he said and got off the bed to get the tissue for her.
She looked at the clock and was relieved to see the seconds hand just 5 seconds away from 12.
5...4...3...2...she counted down as she quickly went behind him and then whispered in his ear "Happy Valentines Day My Love" repeating his action and his words from last year and then added "And Happy Anniversary"
"Oh...To ye sab plan tha?" Raman realised and turned to face her.
"Tha toh" she said mischievously.
"Jaan le li thi tumne meri" Raman scolded.
"Jaan to aapne le li thi meri, pichle saal isi waqt pe" Ishita replied.
"Ohho...Aaj bad romantic ho rahi hain Madam" Raman pulled her closer.
"Ab pati itna romantic hai, to biwi ke paas koi aur option bhi to nahi hai romantic banne ke alawa" she winked.
"Says the one who always spoils the romance" Raman mocked.
"Kya Raman! Aap bhi na...Hamesha to kehte rehte ho ke tum romance nahi samajhti...aur jab mai apke liye romantic banne ki koshish me hun to aap bas chede hi jaa rahe ho...Kabhi appreciate mat karna aap mujhe" she hit his chest and whined.
He held her hands and brought them near his lips while saying "Aapki appreciaton me to poori kitab likh daalun" he kissed them while looking into her eyes lovingly.
"Aap bahut bure ho. Aisi batein karke mere gusse ko pal me pighla dete ho" she helplessly gave up.
"Aur tum mujhse bhi buri ho. Kyunki tum mujhe aisi batein karne pe majboor kar deti ho" he said while taking her into his arms.
"Buri to buri hi sahi. Mai nahi sudhrungi. Kyunki aapki aisi batein mujhe abhut achi lagti hain" she said locking her arms behind his neck.
"Aur mujhe tum bahut achhi lagti ho" he said touching his forehead with hers.
Raman slowly reached for the remote in his pocket and hit the play button

The song played on the stereo taking them back to one of the most cherished moments of their life.
They slowly started to sway to the tune and gradually had a slow romantic dance like last year as the song played in background

"Happy Anniversary Jaan" He said kissing her forehead when the song finished.
Her lips curved into a huge smile and he leaned in to join that curve with his.
They broke apart after long satiating union of their smiling lips.
"Mera Valentine gift kahan hai?" she demanded like he did last year, once they were out of the reverie.
"Valentine gift? Ya anniversary gift?" he asked.
"Actually anniversary gift...But mujhe apko flashback me le jana tha isiliye aisa kaha" she giggled.
"Kya yaar...Kuch to naya kiya karo...Jo mai karta hun tum usi ko copy karti rehti ho. Date pe legayi to wahan bhi meri copy ki aur aaj bhi dekho, waisa hi kar rahi ho jaise maine kiya tha" Raman said.
"Wo isliye kyunki apke jin plans ko maine apni nadani ki wajah se barbaad kar diya tha unhe mai apne pyar se sanjona chahti hoon. Batana chahti hoon ke aapke pyar ne mujhe kitna badal diya hai aur apko paakar mai kitni khush hoon" she confessed.
"Janti ho tumhari ye baat meri zindagi me kitne maine rakhti hai...Tum meri zindagi ka best gift ho Ishita" Raman was overjoyed.
"Soch lo...Kahin anniversary gift dekh ke apni baat se mukar to nahi jaoge na?" she challenged.
"Wo to tabhi patha chalega jab mujhe meri anniversary gift milegi" he winked.
"Haww...iska matlab apko abhi bhi shak hai is baat par" she had her hands on hips and he laughed out loud at her cuteness.
"Is baat par kabhi mujhe shak ho sakta hai bhala ke is thodi si bholi, thodi si shaitan, behad khoobsurat aur bepanaah pyar karnewali Madrasan se behtar kuch bhi hai meri zindagi me" he said pulling her cheeks.
"Baatein banana to koi aapse seekhe" she blushed gloriously.
"Ab baatein hi karte rehna hai ya gift bhi lena hai?" he reminded.
"Lena hai aur dena bhi" she stated.
"Chal phir nikalo apni gift" he demanded.
"Pehle aap" she argued.
"Ab is par bhi behes karne lage to subah hi ho jayegi. Isliye ek kaam karte hain, ek hath lo ek hath do. What say?" he suggested.
"Badhiya hai" she said.
She fished for the gift in her drawer while he digged for it in his bag.
"Ready?" she asked after finding it.
"Haan ready" he said hiding it behind his back.
"Ok then...Close your eyes and the count of three ek doosre ke hath me gift thama do" she ordered.
He nodded obediently and they sat on the bed, came closer hiding their gifts at the back, held the left hand out for collecting the gift, closed their eyes and began to count "1...2...and 3" they said placing the gifts on each other's left hand while opening the eyes.
Surprisingly both had an envelope in their hands. They looked at the envelopes and then at each other.
"Isme kya hai?" both asked together and giggled.
"Khud hi dekh lo" they said in unison and laughed.
"Aaj to hamara same pinch ho raha hai Raman" Ishita joked.
"Kahin gift bhi to same hi nahi niklega?" Raman asked.
"Naa...wo to ho hi nahi sakta...Mera gift to best hai" she replied confidently.
"Achha? Itni confidence...To phir dekhna hi padega ke aisa kya hai. Wasie confidence to mujhe bhi hai ke mera gift best hai"
"Wo to dekh ke hi pata chalega"
"Theek hai...to phir dekhte hain"
'Ye zaroor kisi spa ka voucher hoga...ya phir koi foreign trip ka ticket...Spa ka voucher hai to badhiya hai...mere liye is waqt best hoga...but agar kahin ka ticket nikla to mujhe Raman ko samjhana padega ke is waqt mai kahin nahi jaa sakti' Ishita thought while opening the envelope.
'Ye zarur kisi yoga club ki membership ka coupon hoga...ya phir koi foreign trip ka ticket...Yoga club ki membership hai to theek hai...Ye Ishita keliye bhi helpful hoga...but agar kahin ka ticket nikla to mujhe Ishita ko samjhana padega ke is waqt hum kahin nahi jaa sakte' he thought meanwhile.
As against their thoughts they found a medical report that stated in bold letters that Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla is pregnant.
They stared at the report and then at each other.
"Phir se same pinch?" they said together and hugged each other breaking the rule of pinching each other.
Their gifts were same, their emotions were the same, their love was the same for each other. But were their thoughts same at the moment?
Of course not...and the fight continues...
