I really don't know what to say anymore.. I wish all of you survive in future. As a woman and doctor, i felt betrayed. For your kind information i have severe endometriosis problem. i was diagnosed early in Malaysia . You know what, endometriosis can cause fertility problem. Then i move to UK following my family, there i finish my school, i got determined to pursue my career as doctor because i know god gave me this disease not only for me to suffer, but actually to help people and that's the reason i went for medicine. i graduated and work as doctor. Surrounded by people with #hopeneverdies i try to overcome the pain & struggle dealing with my own disease & also help others. I DO SURVIVE, then there you go, my parents pop up the marriage question, i just said if god create someone for me in this world, and he meant for me the time will come. There he came in my life, my man whom i thought to be my real life prince charming, everything seems perfect but God know the best for you, the day i told him that i'm having fertility problem, he seems to accept it well, i trust him, a fairytale story started to be built up. He is a doctor and me also. I thought he understood well my problem but slowly, he doubt his decision to start a life with me. Perhaps he think he deserved better, i'm no one to blame that, if i want to be treated fairly, why he can't? So i said if you feel you are not happy with me, please find another people who can make you really happy, don't suffer for the rest of your life just out of sympathy, i accept what god had made me, free yourself from me. THE END, that's how i end my own fairytale, if we can't give happiness to others, don't let them suffer. at least help others to bring happiness to your love one. That's the way i spread the love. I indeed suffer from the pain, my parents and family. i almost gave up on my life, but one day i realized, my patient is my wake up call. She did suffer the same thing with me, but her life is far worst, she is depressed, her husband cheated on her because she can't bear the child. May god bless her soul. i tried to help her with the best, but on 29 november, she took her own life. the day i lost my patient which i handled with care.
WHO AM I TO BLAME THE GOD , HER HUSBAND, SOCIETY OR MYSELF THAT SHE CHOSE TO END HER JOURNEY?! THE PAIN DOUBLED FOR ME BECAUSE I KNOW SHE CAN BE SAVED, SHE SUFFERED THE SAME THING WITH ME, GOD KNOW BETTER DEAR, THAT'S WHAT MY MOM SAID,BUT FOR ME NO, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, HOW MANY LIFE GONNA BE KILLED MORE JUST BECAUSE OF STIGMA OF BELOVED ONE & SOCIETY?! THEN I STARTED TO JOIN HANDS DOING RESEARCH PROVIDING MORE FACILITIES TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH FERTILITY PROBLEM. MAKE IT INTO BRAIN CVS, SURROGACY IS THE LAST LAST OPTION. IN CERTAIN RELIGIONS, THEY DID NOT ALLOWED IT. THAT'S WHAT MAKE US TO PUT IT AS LAST LAST LAST OPTION WITH OTHER ETHICS AND MORALE INVOLVED. I TRIED MY BEST TO PROVIDE THE BEST FOR MY PATIENT BECAUSE I WANT THEM TO FEEL THE EXPERIENCE OF MOTHERHOOD EVENTHOUGH MYSELF CAN'T FOREVER SINCE I LOST THE ABILITY FOR IT ON A DAY I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE.
I'M VERY HAPPY SEEING THE HAPPY FACES OF PARENTS TO BE, THEIR EXCITEMENT, HAPPINESS. THAT'S WHAT I CAN AT LEAST GIVE THEM. I TRY NOT TO LOST ANOTHER INNOCENT LIVES ANYMORE. TO YOU GOD I SWEAR HELP ME SAVE LIVES

ALONG WITH THIS MY OWN SISTER IN LAW WHICH I DO ADORE HER AS MY OWN SISTER SUFFER FERTILITY PROBLEM. THERE COMES MY FEAR, AM I GOING TO HAVE THE SAME SITUATION AGAIN? BUT NOW IT IS MY OWN FAMILY. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? I BRAVED MY HEART, TALK TO HER AS A SISTER NOT A DOCTOR. SHE POUR OUT EVERYTHING TO ME, SHE IS LUCKY,SHE GOT THE WHOLE SUPPORT TO ENDURE IT & NOW SHE BLESSED WITH HER 2 BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS, CARRIED BY HER OWN WOMB.

WHAT I WANT TO VENT HERE IS, IT HURTS TO SEE SOME PEOPLE MAKE A MOCK OUT OF THIS SENSITIVE ISSUE. DO RESPECT US WHO SUFFERED A LOT. I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE DUE TO THIS ISSUE. HELP ME SPREADING THE REAL FACTS TO THE WORLD THAT INFERTILITY CAN BE TREATED EVENTHOUGH IT TAKES TIME.

IT IS ABSURD TO SAY EVERYTIME INFERTILITY ISSUE STRUCK, SURROGACY IS THE ANSWER. HOW MANY WOMEN WILL BE LEFT HEARTBROKEN THEN. WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS IN TREATING THE WOMEN HERE? TRUST ME IT HURTS TO THE CORE TO BE LABELLED AS INFERTILE. YOU CAN ENJOY OTHERS HAVING GOOD FAMILY TIME BUT YOU ARE ALONE SOUL WANDERING IN THE WORLD TRYING TO SORT OUT YOUR MESSY LIFE.

TRY TO HELP ME SENDING RIGHT MESSAGE VIA THE SHOW, AT LEAST THEIR #HOPENEVERDIES. THEY HAVE CHANCE TO BE PREGNANT AND THEY DESERVE IT

Thank you so much for sharing your story, I truly am humbled and speechless at the same time to hear from you.

The reason for my anger is precisely someone I know, who like you has this cross to bear, and for life...I am not angry and venting here as a fan, I have never lost my cool on this forum in all the years I have been on it but this has made me absoluely livid as a woman, as someone who finds it absolutely disgusting and nauseating to even imagine how could a team of women who produce and write this show, write something that is so demeaning and insensitive...the plight Ishita will face upon learning what her husband has done behind her back is akin to the story of what your patient did - if Ishita too takes a step where she choses to commit suicide or has thoughts along those lines I wont be surprised...but the fact is I know the makers dont have the balls and the brains to go there...would it be a wakeup call to Raman if Ishita choses to kill herself unable to take the humiliation she would feel and face upon learning his actions...would he still plead innocence if she does so...I dont think anything can now revive Raman.

The man who was shown to have suffered so much because of a woman today didnt consider that what he is doing to his wife is what was once done to him - he is stabbing a woman in the back, just as he once was...

I dont know what to say at this point, except that thank you so much for coming forward it means a lot to me and I know so many others who would have read you.

Hence the Hail Mary pass of the surrogate track + leap that were put on hold because of the viewer backlash last time the spoiler hit the wires. Now they don't care !

And BT ... This is their signature storytelling apparently ( pardon my ignorance as this is my 1st show) ... They build everything up only to dramatically butcher it and to them anything from marital rape to secret surrogacy is right up their alley of 'creativity' . I feel somehow the audience is to be blamed... As still they get ppl to watch them and turn them as the top production house. And a country where censorship on big screen is so stringent... Apparently small screen get bypass about anything from physical abuse to unethical behavior from professionals onscreen which send wrong messages to the semi-educated to uneducated viewers. It's sad but brutal truth.. BT has made money by bringing down the standard of Indian television which one time had telecast daily dramas like Humlog, Buniyaad..Tamas .

Gan I swear I am so infuriated with these guys I want to throw something at them and hurl all the cuss words possible in this world and some more because what they have shown in the name of entertainment is just cruel and disgusting, its appaling as a woman to even think this piece of junk is being written by women themselves

I have not had the privilige to watch the shows you named here since they were before my birth but I have seen brilliance in the form of Tara, Hasratein and so many others so I know what you mean.

It was indeed a sad and unfortunate day in the history of humanity and Indian TV when Ms. Kapoor ventured into television production and single handedly managed to drop the bar so low we cant even see it anymore and dont know if it shall ever be lifted by someone in this lifetime of ours 😳

I honest to god hope I live to see the day when Indian shows get intelligent again even if its only one show

hi Ani... thank you for making this post... as i write this post my 1.5 year old nephew is playing next to me... the reason he is a part of our family is because my sis-in-law, a cancer survivor and my brother chose surrogacy. She had to undergo a hysterectomy to give her a fighting chance against cancer. Once she was in remission for a few years, they informed us that they wanted to go for a baby through surrogacy. It took us some time to convince my grand mother... not to give permission for the procedure... but to accept that it is inevitable and that the child, would genetically belong to my brother and his wife... We all were excited for the baby and are grateful to that amazing lady who gave us our Armaan... my sis-in-law never saw this show... she said that she doesn't want to see on TV what she had to live through... and i am so glad that she did not... the two loyal viewers at home turned out to be me and my granny... what they have shown in the last few weeks is insulting... and I cannot stand to watch this show for the near future or may be ever again... but interestingly my Dadi wants to watch this show... her 80 year old mind is of the belief that by watching the show she is showing solidarity to Ishita... we had an interesting discussion over dinner today... where me and my Bhabhi felt that what they showed was wrong... my brother was of the belief that the show was entertainment fiction... just get over it... and for my Dadi... it was something to look forward to every evening... so she declared that she is going to see it... and finally me parents... two very lucky people who had no ides what the discussion was about...
Surrogacy is a scientific marvel which has managed to give families like us a wonderful gift... but its portrayal in YHM is an offence to everyone who has suffered the effects of infertility...

This is cruelty at it's finest. It's borderline abusive to viewers.

Pardon my laziness - but here's a brief my reason for disgust, which mirrors yours.

This show makes me hurt for the real couples.

Think of the couples who spend $100000 of dollars on TREATMENTS (not tests) to get pregnant.

Think of the women who suffer multiple miscarriages due to reproductive tract issues. Think of the women who commit suicide or suffer severe depression because of the title "baanj."

Think of the men who have to silently watch their wives go through painful treatments to have a child. Think of the men who have to comfort their wives, while coping with their own grief, should the woman have a miscarriage.

Infertility & its treatments challenge a couple to the core. Couples divorce or become stronger. But this is a journey of a couple who wants to have a child despite medical conditions.

So many treatments are available - from IVF to surrogacy. But what has YHM done but mock it all? The people involved with this show may not have seen this in real life but I have worked with many women in this situation. This situation is soul piercing for couples.

I challenge the people involved with this show to talk to a couple in this situation. Try to actually empathize. Your heart will break when you realize infertility strips a man or woman of their sense of personhood. Your heart will soar when you realize that pain and money spent is nothing in comparison to the child that can be born thanks to medical treatment, but then your heart will shatter into pieces when despite everything a couple cannot have a biologic child. Even then though - there is hope...hope in the form of a surrogate or adopted child.

The recent handling of infertility, surrogacy, & the medical profession yet again sheds a horrible light on the entire process.

YHM is not handing out hope to the women who watched this show because they were in Ishita's place. it's also not handing out handing out realism about the struggles an infertile couples face when trying getting pregnant.

Everything appears to be just for TRPs and in the process it looks like people involved have forgotten empathy towards fellow humans. I understand drama is needed for shows because I've watched tons of desi shows. But for a topic that was a tenant of the show (along with infidelity, second chances, and nature vs nurture)...it's sad to see it turned into a sick joke.

Link to file a complaint:

Krishy I have never been more disgusted watching something onscreen in all of my life as I have been with this track and like you said its not making people hope rather its making them see how you can dupe your partner the first chance you get because if you fail once you would fail forever

But Unfortunately it will NOT make any difference as this ppl (SP and Balaji TF) don't think or care about.. Morales.. ethics ... or there duty towards society... they don't care if they giving wrong message.. they don't care about insensitivity ... they don't care about they making mockery of medical profession... Making mockery out of women infertility issue... and also making joke out of sensitive issue like surrogacy.. all they care is about business.. trps.. Money its there goal and in front of this goal they don't see anything and don't care about anything...

SP for business.. trps and to make there channel sequre in Trp.. Grp will go to any extent it doesn't matter for them its right or wrong.. and for PH well i don't know if i should say this or not but can't stop myself by saing this it seems a clear case of favoritism because rather than that i don't see why shagun's character getting so much importance... NO one interested to see if she is grey.. white.. black.. positive.. negative but CV 's again and again force her in story.. try to fit her each and everywhere even if it NOT require... Now shagun is center of this show everything revolves around her... and ppl have to tolerate her but alas ..they have destroyed one of the strongest male character to glorify shagun's character... CV 's ready to sacrifice most popular and loving couple on Indian tv for the sake of shagun's character as NO ishra fan want shagun anywhere near ishra but CV 's want that and they will do what they want.. and we have only option left take the remote and change the channel .. that's it NO use of our ranting as its going to be in deaf ears..

Note - NO offense to AH whatever i said its strictly about shagun's character..

Kavya I know that SP and Balaji give two hoots about anything else but numbers since it means business but you would except a little humanity...which I dont think is much to ask for considering that these shows sell based on the connect viewers establish with them, a story becomes worth the watch and time invested only if you think that its something that you can relate too.

When they showed a man coping with a broken marriage, shattered trust, a child desperately in need of the love of her parents and a woman who wants to be considered a person who can be loved despite a limitation that makes others see her as if her life has no value, it hit hard and lured us in...we all could identify with a Raman, a Ruhi and an Ishita...we all could feel for them...today they destroyed that very connect with this decision and showed that a man once broken by his wife' betrayal can do the same to his second wife without a single thought or even a little guilt all in the name of misguided guilt and love and that a woman who couldnt ever be a mother to her own children can find redemption, despite spreading her legs for money for a man who was her husband' boss...because she can carry a baby in her womb...

Well said, Aani. 👏 You've summated the medical facts and social repressiveness
YHM is preaching so I won't go there. I'd rather talk about my experience as a viewer.

I have never felt more insulted by fiction. I never knew fiction could insult this much.

I don't really understand romantic love because it doesn't follow any logic. So, please if any of you can help me understand this: how can someone who loves you, someone who took the oath to respect you, cherish you and protect you, insult you and cheat you in the harshest way possible? How can the person who claimed he wouldn't be able to live without you, who thought you'd get hurt by knowing the incident of him being trapped in with his ex break you beyond repair? Because had Raman cheated on Ishita with Shagun, had this unborn child been a love child of Raman and Shagun, that'd have been more merciful. By sleeping with Shagun Raman would have broken the marital vows he'd taken with Ishita and insulted her love but by making Shagun a surrogate for their baby without her knowledge he's violating her human rights, he's insulting her existence, he's insulting her place and necessity in his and his family's life, he's braking every promise that he's ever made, he's making a spectacle out of all these insults and wounds he's inflicting upon her and he's branding her with a scar for life time which would be her flesh and blood. Raman is doing all these in the name of love! *sigh*

There's a beautiful song in the play 'Wicked' called 'Defying Gravity' sung by very talented, Idina Menzel, the song has a few lines that sums up my feelings about love after Raman's actions:

Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity

Lessons I learned from YHM:

1. Do not fall in love.
2. If you fall in love or get married, do not stay faithful. Be the heart breaker otherwise your heart will be broken.
3. Do not marry someone with a past.
4. Before you get married, announce that you don't wanna have kids. If the guy stays, marry him only then.
5. If you have trouble getting pregnant, divorce immediately.
6. Do not under any circumstances trust a doctor.
7. Read before singing a document specially if your spouse is taking the sign.
8. Do not watch another Ekta Kapoor show or Hindi show for that matters even if J.K. Rowling is writing, Peter Jackson is directing and Tom Hanks is acting!

I'm letting YHM go and I do not wish for the trps to tank because I know it will, sooner or later. I feel sorry that the makers thought nepotism was worth the destruction of this once so very beautiful show. I hope someday they learn from their mistakes.

Rosh I wish I could answer you but seeing as that I am single myself I dont know anything about love and so I humbly apologise to you for not being of any help...I dont have it in me to be as resourceful as Ms Goody two shoes who could save humanity no matter what because she can procreate

and I am not watching any damn ekta show in this life...lesson learned

Apparently thats just us, we the viewers who can remember that...not the man in love with his wife because when has he ever heard his ex call his wife that ever...never...well only about a couple of times but then who cares when she is screaming I willcarry your baby...as long as she can do that, we can forget and go ahead with whatever rocks the boat 😳

I have nothing to add to what you said.

The show started with how a woman who cannot conceive can have a man love her for herself and feel like a complete woman are now showing the same man because of his love for her got so blindsides that he is not thinking he is hurting her in the cruelest way by making his ex-wife who betrayed him become a surrogate mother without his wife consent.

What are they trying to say they need a baby to make marriage work otherwise the marriage would break that they showed it in the first few episodes itself with Subbu saying the exact same things so what the was beautiful journery of IshRa for two years if they were going to go through this route all along.

I am not from medical profession but I am appalled at the way they are handling the situation a doctor who knows the patient has not given the consent willingly but goes ahead with the procedure shares her information with her husbands ex-wife he has no moral consequence and he is not taking his doctor oath seriously too that he would keep patient information confidential and her husband acting like he from very old century what he passes is the law if he gives her a baby then she has to raise it no question asked

Is this there new slogan promotion # Hope never dies husband can act accordingly and wife cannot contest to it.

For me there new slogan should be # Hope already dead

Thanks Maya and yes @red - thats exactly what they are saying..
