I've read a lot on IF over time about Raman & Ishita, and if they deserve each other.

For Raman: I've seen so many comments asking what kind of husband Raman is or how he is like Subbu.

Among many things...He put Adi before her. He kept secrets from her frequently. He suspected his wife of cheating. He almost raped his wife. He tried to leave her. He taunted her for being ishima. He kicked her out of his house. He let her suffer when Shagun lived with them. He let people accuse her at Rinki's wedding. He ignored her feelings & kept pushing pregnancy on her. He was rude & publicly insulted her at a party. He considered surrogacy. He agreed to surrogacy behind her back. He did not take into consideration her feelings.

Sounds really bad, no?

And to make it seem worse what hasn't Ishita done for him?

She never let him fall in Ruhi's eyes even at his worse. She kept his respect during the accident track. She kept him from sacrificing his position. She brought him back from being a coward & running away. She dealt with her Sautan so Adi could come back to him. She comforted him during the earthquake track. She silently coped with his anger. She fulfilled the ministry contract for him. She risked her life many times for him or the family. She can't come to terms with her lost child due to his fragility.

It is easy to see why Raman is with Ishita, but I can't stop myself from asking, why is Ishita still with him? Is it because she can't part with Ruhi or Adi? Is it because she is majboor in his love?

Well here's my answer -

Time and time we see how Raman loves her beyond depth. Raman cannot live without her, but sometimes his good intentions don't justify his actions.

Ishita just wanted to be needed. That's why we always see her as a jagat mata people pleaser, and tracks like the earthquake track & miscarriage track - you see just how much Raman needs her. This week's rain scene was beyond moving b/c you saw just how much Ishita has consumed Raman.

Ishita was rejected brutally by her first love & then other men that followed. She was tossed aside as being "unuseful" because she could not conceive. Then comes this cold man that she tolerated for the sake of a daughter, but slowly the cold man melts away & begins to depend on her...he makes her the center of his world, sometime no man has given her before.

[in terms of storytelling - the discrepancy in their relationship wouldn't be so bad if FL were allowed to make more actual mistakes]

This is the time of year the Mani track was started (ironic, no?). As I wrote in the LU...

Mani track: Their relationship was weaker & Raman's more emotional & more insecure about love & women. So a hug & ILU from Ishita was enough. Ishita wasn't wrong here & Raman couldn't verbalize his hurt to her. The vehicle for drama was Sarika-Romi.

This track: Their relationship is rock solid & Ishita is less emotional and has stronger faith. So to make this track happen, something more sinister was needed. Raman isn't wrong here & for the sake of drama, I'm sure she will bottle up for a little. The vehicle for drama appears to be Mihir-Rinki-Mihika. Only thing we don't know is how surrogacy will fit into this.

[[so yes, Raman is likely going to do more things that will infuriate viewers in this track, but they will not be from a vicious place]]

Word ! Krishy that's very good analysis of the situation as also expiation of the leads' behavior . 👏 Esp the comparison between Mani track and this one. You know how the cvs botched up that one... Wanna bet now they will mess it up even more as execution these days always leave huge gap .. Be it storytelling or continuity .. The only reason we still are sticking is because of KP and DT's portrayal of Ishra as till date they have never failed in their roles.. Though their characters have been butchered at will.

It's a different issue that how come Shagun's body temperature dropped faster than Raman's that she stopped breathing even though he was hugging her to keep her warm...

Raman was not wrong there ... His intention was just to save Shagun ... More of a humane reaction more than anything . Yeah Ashok's omnipresent 'eyes' were capturing everything to create future misunderstanding that is a different issue.

It was a stupid forced scene the cvs manufactured to create Ishra MU. Nothing else..

The invisible arm of the ishita Raman shagun just got created .

Like yhm has been these days.. All the tracks revolve around to give prominence to Shagun's character.. To justify her presence in the story. This is no exception .

Raman Ishita mohabbatien track that the viewers have been demanding and waiting for more than one and half years? Ah well like every thing else, it is in the back burner.. Everything has to wait .. As its hail the other 'mohabbatein' time .

I haven't watched the episodes past several weeks barring the few ones about which I opened a thread... I have no expectation from the YHM cvs these days ... I watch whatever I watch just for Ishra... And today's episode is not my cup of tea ...even if Cvs had done the best job. Some things are better avoided for my own peace of mind.
