As someone who writes her daily reviews come rain, power cut, irritation with the episode, whatever; primarily for the GUSH-fests or the proliferate discussions that ensue on her thread (apart from a general dedication), I get it when you say people are complaining about the tracks and are unmindful of the nice things happening in the current track...I see a general pall/gloom/negativity cast over the entire forum, which I myself was a part of till 2-3 days back. Remember how off the tangent I was, before the blood report thing...scared and sad actually.
And all owing to horrendous news bites that we may get a leap. Most of the talk around YHM is centred around the leap, mostly. 😔 Honestly, such news really put viewers off track and divert our attentions.
Every little thing that could possibly indicate at the start of the leap has us panicking. Like the blood report thing this Monday...it scared most of us...
Having said that, I am glad you've come up with this post and trying to infuse some positivity among people. Twitter is witness to the 1.5 lakh+ tweets we have sent out in protest of IshBu/ShaRam as a part of the disgusting leap. We are fighting the good fight, sacrificing our sleep, leisure hours and plunging ourselves into it. And yet, like you rightly said, we are doing this all for YHM...coz we LOVE IshRa...and pray, if we are so crazy about them, then why cant we enjoy this current IshRa track, which IMO is by far THE MOST REALISTIC track the CVs have ever come across.. so real...so spot-on most of the issues, responses, reactions are. Almost everyone can relate to the track and that is the beauty of it.
We wanted MORE time, without the focus light being shown on Subbu/Shagun/Ashok anybody. We wanted to see how Iishu-Adi relationship could be explored in a non-melodramatic way. And guys, we ARE getting that...and by no means, is it tacky or fabricated.
The other day IshRa were shown to be sleeping on the SAME BED. And it was Dipa, I guess, who commented ki iss cheez ka logon ne kab se intezaar kiya hua hai..and look at the general reaction...most people were simply caught unawares...coz our minds were so plagued by the leap and its after-effects, that we couldn't enjoy the fact that IshRa have begun sleeping together, much like all married couples do.
The consummation scene is something we ALL have been waiting and hoping for. Oh! How many OSes have been written in the honour of something that always looked light years away! And yet now that we WILL be getting the Big C, why aren't we all enjoying it guys? It could very well be the last thing we love about YHM and take away from the show, but atleast we;ll have given ourselves wholeheartedly to it. Its like, agar marna bhi hai, to shaan se kyun na mare!😛
This post means quite a lot to me Shal, since I see so much hope in what you said- that even if there's just a 0.1% probability, it IS a probability. So why are we ruining it by being negative and primarily, SPECULATIVE? Why not believe in our protest and enjoy the current track? IF, God forbid, the CVs DO go ahead with the leap, then we can just stop watching it altogether ...coz obvio ShaRam/IshBbu will be two pointless couples. Yes, we will be deeply pained, but by boycotting the show THEN at least we'll be keeping the choicest of our IshRa memories, alive, untainted, happy.
And I know that our love for YHM is such that we can gush about it even after the leap, without watching the leap wala YHM. We can soak ourselves in a diff world and discuss happy times like the bad ones never happened. Its given us so much. So many lovely people, so many views, so much love.
Bless you Shal...for making sure we all enjoy ourselves and the show to the hilt, even when we are fighting the good fight.👏
