Can I just say, this forced love triangle is just stupid.

Not only that but how can this even be a love triangle? It's a forced marriage with the guy in love with someone else. Had they shown us some actual progress between Mihir - Rinki with Rinki slowly developing feelings...then I could by the love triangle angle. To me it currently looks like Rinki will be insecure bc she doesn't want to join Raman & Simmi in the divorced/to be divorced Bhallas category & she may feel guilt at the fact Mihir is stuck with her out of majboori or something! 😕Waise this may be the first time since they got married that rink doesn't have her signature prop (books) in hand! Haha😆

Oh, you would not BELIEVE the argument that took place *with some ppl that I watch the show with*, regarding the marriage... You'd think it was a real-life fight rather than about some bullsh-- storyline spewed out on a soap opera - in other words, FICTION. Let's just say, after that, my sanity is in tact only because of this forum. haha that's funny because sometimes I feel like coming on the forum is a giant booboo because of some of the posts/comments/POVs I read! 😆 Luckily the people I know who watch this show...just watch it and move on. We used to sometimes chat about the good scenes/tracks, but that's long gone now.I'm opening a can of worms in my brain by revisiting this issue, but here goes.W*F... Sure, Rinki agreed to the marriage with Mihir (and so did Mihir, but my main qualms are not about his side of the story) *when put on the stand*, but why was she asked in the first place? Why was it expected of her? Why didn't anyone think from Rinki's POV? She didn't want to get married... but she changed her mind on that when she realized the pros and cons. Then, she started to wonder (dream, hope, etc) what her new life would be like, with her life-partner, her to-be husband, Nikhil... Then all that shattered. Her marriage with Nikhil broke due to NO fault of hers! Yet, indirectly, she was blamed. And no one took her feelings into consideration... her family was only worried about getting her married off, like she was a burden on them. Why do they keep advertising this as Nayi Soch? It's not effing "nayi soch" to rehash decades worth of regressive storylines from desi movies, serials, etc. and societal thoughts I totally agree with you. Not only was everything on the bullet train, but it was backwards and incredibly un-empowering. I may be in the minority, but I HATED the entire wedding sequence. I hated that Ishita, who understood that life could go on despite a rejection, was made to give a speech about how it's not the end of the world if a girl is left at the alter, and then subsequently ask Mihir to marry Rinki. Not only did Ishita ask Rinki to trust her & nothing else, but she publicly asked Mihir. No matter how good & pure her intentions were...there was undue pressure for Mihir to say yes. Was their any doubt he would say yes? No, because you had the Bhalla's sad faces and Mr./Mrs. Bhalla going to him with their "haath jodke." Had Ishita talked to Raman or the Bhallas first or she had done it in private...it would at least look like Mihir was able to think things through, but no...we got to see Shagun & Ishita battle it out and Mihir say yes. The only saving grace was Mihir went and talked to Rinki. The entire wedding sequence was also stupid times infinity because that was the first real time we got to see Puttar totally sidelined in a situation where he would normally speak up. Instead we saw him chill on the side to allow "the women to battle it out". 🤢Maybe, I'm just expecting too much from this show. Actually, this is the truth... I should REALLY lower my expectations. #LessonNotLearned You will get there soon, sista! Trust me...I've learned that in general...expectations are the thief of joy, especially when it comes to this horribly botched show that we still keep watching online due to our love for the "good 'ol days," the simple moments of powerful emotion, the wonderful acting, and most importantly, hope that the CVs haven't inhaled too much spray paint...😆I like Rinki... Is it too much to hope she doesn't negative? (probably, yes) #CurseYouCVsI don't want her to be negative. Insecure is one thing, but to turn into a 1D vamp like Shagun's recent role would be a total 360 for Rinki. Her character hasn't had much time to develop regardless (from day 1 of the show), so it would be incredibly stupid (yet sadly plausible) to make her negative.Someone in the thread mentioned that so far Romi & Simmi both had opportunity to rebel against the Bhallas (esp. with Shagun's influence), but they never caved. I would like to think that despite all the screentime and stupidity of Shagun, the CVs won't go off the deep end with Rinki. It seems silly and wouldn't progress the plot for more than a month or so.That is all.
