Was he 'unmanly' over there?

Gosh - I love everything about this scene and that track! #Yaadein

This scene had Ruhi filling in the gap that not just Shagun but Adi left in Raman's life. I said this in Doc's letter to RKB, but these 3 characters have a beautiful symbiotic relationship. It's not just about Ishita-Ruhi, Ishita-Raman, or Raman-Ruhi...it's about all 3 of them. They each fill a different role in the others' lives and without one, they would all be lost.

I love that it was this scene that brought you to making regular collages! 😊

Word.

Gender roles and gender inequality in my mind are different things. We live in gender roles but can overcome them, if we desire, but with gender inequality, you have to fight an entire system.

We just covered how a woman who presents with an MI more often receives lower quality care than a male patient. #W*F We had 4 hours of lecture about gender inequality in medicine, and I wanted to blow a fuse the entire time. 🤢

This thread has gone from a #GoPuttarGo to gender roles, which goes to prove that when this show is fairly managed - educated people are prone to discuss the underlying issues.

Even tough men cry - case in point, Puttar.

Puttar's stubble game in this picture = on point. The emotional quotient of this scene = wonderfully senti.

I see we are discussing Puttars stubble even when we have serious issues such as gender inequality to mull over. But why not? A bit o Puttar never hurt no one

So here is my thought on this entire non-issue

1) Why as a society we think apology is a sign of weakness, irrespective of the gender? Major conflicts have been averted because diplomacy has been used where two parties sit and apologize to each other rather going to war. So why do we view apology as a sign of weakness.

2) But since we do equate apology = weakness, why do we freak out when the male gender apologizes? Why men aren't supposed to be weak? They must alway be strong and live in a false sense of bravado. You know I have little nephews and nieces and I treat them equally, no on in my house is allowed to say, 'don't cry like a girl' 'don't throw the ball like a girl', 'you run like a girl'

What does crying like a girl entail anyways? I am proud that my parents have brought my sister and I up with a sense of pride and self belief that we can achieve anything in this world. Unfortunately as a society we are failing our men. We expect them to behave in false bravado, any sign of emotions and we call them 'sissy', 'that dude cries like a girl', we make our men emotionally unavailable and halt their growth.

MEN are human beings, they have feelings, they are allowed to cry, allowed to make mistakes, allowed to apologize and allowed to be human for Christ sake.

CRYING, APOLOGIZING, BEING EMOTIONAL, AND BEING CONSIDERATE ARE NOT FEMININE, IT'S JUST BEING HUMAN!

Regarding puttar when he apologized my respect for him grew even more because he did this to protect his family, and I would do the same to protect mine.
May be if we stop fighting the gender battles and focus on some real shit like making men feel emotionally secure then may be rape and molestation rates will go down.

Here is the DOVE campaign aimed at MEN who CARE, bringing out the softer emotional side of their gender. Their logo is: Care makes men STRONGER.

This is the Always campaign where they ask young girls and then women what it means to, 'run like a girl', 'throw like a girl'. The results will startle you when you watch it because you will see young girls are confident but the society brainwashes us into believing that 'like a girl' is weak, it's heartbreaking.

I am sorry for the rant but I get really disturbed by such behavior. Thanks for hearing me out.

Awww, this is one of my all time faves. I cried with Puttar when Ru tells him he is her faviroute. KP portrayed the emotions so masterly in this scene, you could believe this was a man who had lost everything and could not quite believe that he now had it back.

Nope he was not UNMANLY here...He was every bit Manly...Being sensitive does not make you less of a MAN...This is my all time fav. Ru-Raman scene...Raman has always loved Ruhi, but she came into this world during a time when his life was seeing the biggest blow it could endure...which is the reason he always remained at a distance from Ruhi and here she was announcing before all that HE is her fav. person in the whole wide-world.

'Nahi Papa, Aap...Aap iss duniya mein mere sabse favorite person ho"...😭 Gosh...Raman's look (The last pic) ...Stunned to silence at the heart-tearing, soul-baring admission of his 6 year old daughter...The realization that dawned upon him that his daughter of all the people came to fight for him, when the world was pointing fingers at him for Gender Discrimination...It was such a blissful moment ❤️
