It's funny you mention athletes because I remember when Kevin Durant made his MVP speech, he choked up talking about his mom and the internet went crazy making fun of him, an ESPN analyist called the speech 'girly' and there was a lot of backlash meanwhile majority of America sat and appreciated Mr. Durant's speech. Such double standards, makes my blood boil.
Here is his speech, it's so sweet, starts around 2:55

As an avid Thunder fan, I ❤️ me some KD! The level of respect he shows for his mother and his teammates is what makes him a class-act! I watched his speech a few times and teared up.

Needed this post!
Raman looked strong as ever, he was in full form!
Hes a man of substance...
I was actually hoping there would be no misunderstanding and CVs have granted that without any delaying

KP is just perfect as RKB🤗

This time I did not even doubt for a bit about any MU. Raman know how self-respecting and honest Mr Iyer is that he wont take money from him no matter what and will manage with all the constraints in his life. Shagun was barking up the wrong tree! I guess now Mrs Iyer got to know of appa's financial issues. She keeps saying he has no money but keeps asking him to buy gold chains. Where does her common sense vanish I wonder!

Toshiji has always let Romi get away with nearly anything as a result he too has become a good for nothing criminal always doing some kaand or the other. Instaed of confiding in Ishita who is a doctor he preferred to trust Shagun, gave away the cash without any receipt. How stupid can one get?😡

That is a different issue right? It doesn't take away the fact that RKB was defending his family's dignity. Romi... Well Rkb needs to deal with him firmly this time.. His 'kaand's are getting out of control and he's not a child anymore.. So instead of Molly coddling he needs some lesson about accountability for your deeds

Krishy don't even get me started on the gender inequality in America, the fact that in 2015 a woman makes 70 cents to a man making a dollar for the very same job, the fact that my reproductive health is topic of debate, the fact tat birth control is a topic of debate, abuse that is rampant in our society and the disparity in research for diseases affecting men and women is appalling.
Go ask a random person what are they symptoms of a heart attack, (MI) and they will rattle off all the male symptoms, there is gender inequality in healthcare and sadly there is not much being done about it.

Word.

Gender roles and gender inequality in my mind are different things. We live in gender roles but can overcome them, if we desire, but with gender inequality, you have to fight an entire system.

We just covered how a woman who presents with an MI more often receives lower quality care than a male patient. #W*F We had 4 hours of lecture about gender inequality in medicine, and I wanted to blow a fuse the entire time. 🤢

This thread has gone from a #GoPuttarGo to gender roles, which goes to prove that when this show is fairly managed - educated people are prone to discuss the underlying issues.

Even tough men cry - case in point, Puttar.

Puttar's stubble game in this picture = on point. The emotional quotient of this scene = wonderfully senti.

@Krishy: WORD! This show has so much potential to touch so many sensitive topics and if done correctly it could touch a lot of lives. Look at us, all of us professional and busy people in our right taking out time to discuss societal issues on a forum when we can busy gushing over cuteness. Khair let's enjoy what they show us and then turn our blinders on.
@G: Yaar Aru will help us with cute puttar gifs. 😳

Krishy I will PM you a segment on pharmaceutical reps and their influence on medicine, John oliver just did a segment on it this Sunday.

My favorite puttar crying scene reasons
  • A father vindicated by his child fro, being accused of being gender biased
  • A guy who had lost everything because he was considered 'unworthy' by his ex ..for the 1st time someone claimed him as her 'most favorite person in the world' '
  • My 1st post on IF YHM forum was with this post

Was he 'unmanly' over there?

Very nice post Gan!! Yes yesterday we got our RKB back who always stood up for his family through thick and thin!! He can go miles for the happiness and respect of his loved ones!! He has always been like that!! The quality i like about him is he is weak and vulnerable and that makes him human and also that he can stand by for what is right not thinking about the consequences !! And yes that sorry did not make him less of a man but made him a strong person who can do anything to protect his family be it giving up on his position for which he has worked so hard!!

And if u ask me personally i like men who are emotional!! The ones who can be vulnerable but at the same time strong enough to protect their loved ones!! Crying and being emotional is very human why to associate this with only women!! I agree women are more emotional than men and men are supposed to be so called tough but that does not mean they can not be emotional!! By doing this we are depriving men of the most purest emotion!! I feel pityy for men when they are told that they cant cry beacuse its girlish!!
