Hey Swathi 🤗 thank you so much it means a lot to me that my words could affect you so much. We have never seen more than few flashbacks of memories when it comes to Raman & Shagun but its evident that their marriage wasnt a happy one once the honeymoon period was over. And Raman beared a lot of emotional abuse at the hands of his then wife.

And the hurt cannot be forgotten, ever. it will diminish with time and with Ishitas love but there will be always be those memories which hurt him.

Yes sometimes the wound heals but the scar remains

A true relationship of love is one where you are not just mates(litereally and otherwise) but soulmates, where you have no qualms in baring your soul and deepest desires or fears to the other, because you know, the desires will be nourished and the fears will be calmed by the other.

To me they are soulmates. not just husband and wife or 2 people in love

And am overjoyed to see that in your update. How it is easy and natural for him to bare his soul to her with few words and how perfectly she understands his pain and provides relief by just being there and just being her, no demands and no rush.

Two people involved purely in a physical relationship are also called lovers, but a soulmate - you can call only that person your soulmate with whom you can bare yourself emotionally, lay yourself open - share your dreams and slay your demons with the help of...the difference between being merely lovers and soulmates is a collossal one. 😳

The most intimate experience you have written - is similar to my real life experience as I have shared with you before. So I almost cried reading it as I can totally relate to it and completely agree with it.

I remember while discussing this you had mentioned about Raman's fear. I had wondered that how will you touch Raman's fear of rejection because the poor soul was brutally rejected many a times by his own confidant...

And the result .. as always ... it makes u think and makes u ponder.

I kind of related to it because am a verbal diarrhea when it comes to chit chatting but I always struggle with matters of heart ... and Raman is someone who has long ago put Shagun episode in a box and put in a far cotner of his heart.

Isnt that the case with all of us? We can talk a dime to a dozen about all the things in this world but when it comes to the matters of the heart...we cant seem to do it. All of us struggle with baring ourselves. And for a man who faced deception and betrayal, who was cheated like this the emotional scars have to linger even if the pain has subsided...and I thought blurting out things would be something Raman can do, you can only say somethings in life when you lose that filter, where the head and mouth are not in sync also...no one can plan and just casually speak such things so it had to be an outburst. And like you said while she is now put in a box, the fact she is still there even if in a box matters...

The way u mentioned about another wall broken between them. It felt so real. U know u nurture a relationship and while physical attraction plays a major role in a couple's life, it is this kind of heartfelt confessions which make it stronger.

I loved the last few lines where u wrote about clearly something shifting between them.

What separates a husband and wife from others is not the fact that they have seen each other naked or shared a bed, it is the fact that they know each others worst traits, features and confessions and yet they love each other more and more by each passing day.

the way you have summed up what a marriage is Bhanu, I cant add anything to it 😳
