PLEASE EXPLAIN YHM PONGAL

Some one please explain yhm pongal...being a tamilian i don't understand their pongal celebration.. 😕 pongal is basically a farmers festival, farmers thank surya baghwan for a good harvest for the entire year ..pongal is a tamil festival but here most.of the women are in kerala mundu (white gold saree) 😆 they don't know the difference of Tamil and Malayalam costume 😆 they are playing nadaswaram in pongal 😆 i never saw that before it looks like somebody's wedding is going on..and also an iyer is cooking pongal in the center of the hall 😆 it looks like more of MASALA PONGAL than thai pongal 😆 and Ashok added comedy flavour to it 😆

It was hilarious..Tilldate i havent comeacross people celebrating pongal at night...kerala costumes and naadusvaram 😲 .they dumped everything in to that pot 😆 they sd do prop reasearch before showing tamil culture...anyway it was funny...I will forget celebrating pongal after seeing yhm pongal celebrns... 😆

lmao.. I have the same doubt exactly!!! Why melam and all.. And whg are d women wearing white?? Veshti need nt be worn everytime they have a puja or a festival!!!! Why the vibudhi matching veshti dude.. Lol.. And the pongal making was hilarious... Hahahahahahhahahah

Wonder if they will show the Iyer women doing "kanu" the day after pongal. Btw, lohri is same day as bhogi but here Pongal and Lohri are celebrated at night.

CV's must learn or know about the rituals properly before portraying it in the screen . The costumes can be given off that tamil iyers whose ancestors from pal ghar will wear that. We can assume it and leave of it. But the putting rice and grains in the pot it was hilarious. Regarding the music to give sound effects the had taken nadaswaram and tabla. After watching it i may forget how to celebrate pongal. The three sugar cane placed around the pongal pot gives the memory of akbar viral story which i studied in moral science in my childhood days
