Apart from that, I am not against romance at all. I have a romantic life and my close family members have nice familes I appreciate Divyanka as Ishita very much . I expressed that in my earlier mails also. .
But romance should be with a logic behind and should be shown in a natural way. Just for the sake of romance and to woo the audience to watch the show is unfair, I feel. It looks as if it is artificial because of bad screen play. We can clearly see what is coming by the scenes being shown alternatively.
Anyway Ekta is what we all made by watching her shows earlier. It is a long debate and we better leave it. You can enjoy the show. No offence. It is my opinion and after posting it , I saw many comments by like minded audience.

Here is something I read in Times of India, its an extremely competitive difficult place to survive it looks like, The TV industry... having a hit show is a BIG deal... nothing will change.. about ANY show😭

It's a well-known fact that TV is a character-driven medium and viewers remember the characters more than the actors who essay them. So, actors always live under the fear that if they dare to protest, they might be replaced. An actor told us on condition of anonymity, "Actors don't speak against hectic shooting hours because there are several insecurities that prevail in our industry. TV is more of a character-driven medium, and if you protest too much, there are chances that you might be replaced. There are many actors who are dying to get roles and are willing to even step in as replacements or work at a lower amount than the other actor."

Hey Nisha, thanks for this TOI clip. TV industry is indeed a very difficult field to be in.Sadly actors and CVs do not have any/much control over the happenings. At the end of the day the producers have to make money-any which way, so at some level everyone is dispensable😭
I really wonder how much creative satisfaction artists get in this medium.😳 And of course there is the issue of earning a livelihood-so guess everyone continues to work with their head down.

I honestly feel it's the format of the shows that is to be blamed for the current state of affairs. Shows should be finite, CVs should be given more freedom to choose the direction of the story-& not channel & TRPs, and maybe air them 2-3 times a week-so quality is maintained.

I know everyone talks and knows the limitations but nobody has the guts or faith to start a new trend-guess at the end of the day paapi pet ka sawaal hai & everyone is looking at making money-even big & established producers like EK-& that I find most frustrating😕

I wonder too Sam
I mean EVERY story after point, no offence, looks feels and sounds the same, other woman, separated at birth, mistress, look alike, runaway child, runaway parent, cousin turns into villain, aunt turns into villain, leaps... the ONLy defining thing is the first 6 months, when everything looks original fresh and real...The lines are well written, screen play is crisp... might as well END IT RIGHT THERE...

But Sam, SELFISHLY I would have HATED YHM to have ended in 6 months or a year. Can you imagine what NOT watching ISHRA would have done to us?😭
Terrible and awful that sounds, even to type...

I dont know HOW I would have dealt with YHM ending in Dec 2014

The prospect that I will get to watch them for another year makes me very happy, HOWEVER pathetic everything else is about the show... its the magic of the 30 seconds by the staircase today👏 ASTONISHING CHEMISTRY and the MOST good looking couple👏

Spoken like a true fangirl there Nisha:) & I totally agree with you-when you have such a great pair-you don't want it to end-however repetitive & cliched even their scenes are😉-& I swear these CVs & producers make sure they create that kinda pair in the first 6 months- once past that their job is done-they know fangirls like us will watch the crappy show, doe eyed & all😊

There was a time I used to get frustrated abt the shows( yeah I was a novice then)- now I just watch shows that offer me what am looking for-a sizzling couple with great moments-coz honestly no offence, but desi shows do great only with love stories😎-Baki story is just noise in the background!

I am thinking EVERY TIME Shagun has tried to destroy Raman's life she has been totally unsuccessful.

An hour before his wedding she revealed the news of Adi to Ishita...
And a day later Ashok tried to manipulate Ruhi before the judge's decree
The school misbehavior incident
The accident by Adi
Bringing the judge home during the Param incident

EVERY TIME she has been unsuccessful👏

I believe this time will be no different either
NOW ISHRA are stronger too, it would be stupid if they let Shagun break them up, I mean she was unsuccessful when they hated each other how can she succeed when they are attracted to each other and KNOW they love each other?

Exactly what I said earlier. Every single time there have been troubles caused by the antagonists, these two have come out on top. From the wedding, the custody battle (twice), the land auction, accident track, then the Varalaxmi Puja/Presidentship fiasco (which is my FAVORITE track till date) and so on and so forth.

I'm a very optimistic person (other than when it comes to exams) so this may just be me in my little bubble. 😆

See, I am ready for the possibility that Ishita MAY sacrifice her relationship, but I'm hanging onto the hope that Raman will make her see light.

If the story goes on to show stuff like Shagun separating Ishita from the family members and shit, I'll drop the show and watch old Raman-Ishita clips on YouTube. That crap does not belong in a good plot or story!

The CVs have been smart so far, I'm waiting to see how they wrap this up.

hate to be a dampener, but Ekta loves separating leads when their love is at the extreme...when there is hatred, they keep bumping into each other...the moment they make love or atleast come close to each other...something happens to separate them...

but yes the positive thing bt YHM is the evil has never won, till now...if they continue with the trend then we are all set...

most probably in this track, Adi will realize how good Ishita is, and how his mom has played with everyones feelings...so he might himself want to stay with Raman and Ishita later on...

@Nisha & @ SurrealFantasy: yes yes & yes-I am counting that too. Things should be easier(better) this time around because IshRa know they love each other & can't do without one another!
Shagun is a deadly combo of relentlessness, dumbness & psychoness-I wonder how Raman even fell in love with her in the 1st place!!!

@anjs: You just took away the few seconds of happiness & relief I felt-lol
I just hope EK does something thoda hatke in this show-the leads are such strong headed adamant folks that differences and misunderstandings can be created without real separation-fingers crossed!!

Okay now! Again I am here but to express a different opinion on different issue. Sorry to say this I don't feel Raman is a fabulous actor. He is okay. Ishita I mean Divyanka is a seasoned and versatile actress. But in this particular show i don't see any chemistry between Raman and Ishita. Infact their day to day life is always a conflict and filled with daily shoutings of Raman. He always insults her in front of others, in private. Everything is excused by audience because of Divyanka's stupendous acting skills.
Raman behaves as a first timer and Ishita sadly is behaving as she is his first love. It is not.
Infact they should be shown as mature couple. It is a marriage of convenience , not a marriage by love or choice.
Then why this silly romnce? Is it justified? On top it unsuccessful hurdles artificially created by creatives make the show an ordinary soap opera. Not a no.1 show as being claimed.

Please share your views whereever you like on the Forum. I DONT own it.😃

I will vehemently and passionately disagree with what youve said though.

You have a choice of NOT watching if you dont care for something, there are over 50 prime time Desi soaps on TV, not ONE excites me other than YHM, I dont watch any other show, dont go on any other Forums, dont comment, dont care, dont worry about them. It helps a lot. You can try that maybe?

I will speak from MY own Desi soap experience of two decades... Karan is the best today. He is in the league of Ram Kapoor. I havent watched any Sushant Singh Rajput or Ronit Roy shows... in the last two decades Ram Kapoor and Hiten Tejwani have impressed me a LOT. Karan is almost as good as Ram Kapoor.
NO I am not phangurling, I dont secretly hope to tie the knot with Karan, I am a much married woman with two kids. My opinion is as objective as can be.

Divyanka is the most beautiful face on Desi TV, she is very good as well in the emoting department. Deeply emotional scenes, and flirtatious argumentative scenes are her forte.

YHM is a unique story of two people coming together for the sake of a child. Indian soaps are MOSTLY cliched and illogical and baseless... I watch it because I WANT to, not because I HAVE to.

Karan and Divyanka have astonishing chemistry on screen. I dont usually see that in every pair, I watched 100s of soaps over the years, theirs is in the Top 3 or Top 5

I am a serious lover of romance fiction, ISHRA romance is the best IMO.
I live overseas I can watch a million shows where the first mode of communication between a couple is SEX before they declare their love after they declare their love, when they hate each other, when they care for each other, when they break up, when they make up... all they have in their bag is one thing SEX... I DONT care for those... I LOVE the Desi style of love story narration. Its "cliched, boring, unimpressive, unimaginative" according to many... but I LOVE IT😃
I LOVE the over simplistic way of solving problems in Desi soaps... I agree I rant and criticize and post my diatribe every day on things that annoy me... my expectations are very very low, I am shallow fickle and immature... 😃

But I am able to thoroughly enjoy whatever I love... FULLY... which is ISHRA/DIVAN romance
The day I stop doing that, I will get off this bus.

Thanks for sharing your opinion as always😃
