most probably in this track, Adi will realize how good Ishita is, and how his mom has played with everyones feelings...so he might himself want to stay with Raman and Ishita later on...

No Anju, you are NOT a dampener, Ive watched 10s of Ekta soaps over the years and can tell you know your facts. I have a threshold, the day Raman lets his pants down with Shagun, I will quit watching...

I watch the show for two things Anju:
1. ISHRA romance
2. Hope that something off screen MAY EVENTUALLY evolve between DIVAN

If one or the other or both get gutted by design I will quit😃 They can even turn the story later into a Emmy worthy one, but I wont care😉

Exactly what I said earlier. Every single time there have been troubles caused by the antagonists, these two have come out on top. From the wedding, the custody battle (twice), the land auction, accident track, then the Varalaxmi Puja/Presidentship fiasco (which is my FAVORITE track till date) and so on and so forth.

I'm a very optimistic person (other than when it comes to exams) so this may just be me in my little bubble. 😆

See, I am ready for the possibility that Ishita MAY sacrifice her relationship, but I'm hanging onto the hope that Raman will make her see light.

If the story goes on to show stuff like Shagun separating Ishita from the family members and shit, I'll drop the show and watch old Raman-Ishita clips on YouTube. That crap does not belong in a good plot or story!

The CVs have been smart so far, I'm waiting to see how they wrap this up.

Nene

Fully agree with whatever you say... I MIGHT be a pessimistic person I think😕 school of hard knocks is to be blamed may be who knows😭 OR too many Ekta soaps😲

Optimistic except when it comes to exams is candid😃

I dont even mind Ishita sacrificing, I want Raman to GO GET HER, aka "M&B style"😃 I hope Ekta will return Karan's faithfulness and friendship by NOT making his character lose his pants at the sight of Shagun😡

Please share your views whereever you like on the Forum. I DONT own it.😃

I will vehemently and passionately disagree with what youve said though.

You have a choice of NOT watching if you dont care for something, there are over 50 prime time Desi soaps on TV, not ONE excites me other than YHM, I dont watch any other show, dont go on any other Forums, dont comment, dont care, dont worry about them. It helps a lot. You can try that maybe?

I will speak from MY own Desi soap experience of two decades... Karan is the best today. He is in the league of Ram Kapoor. I havent watched any Sushant Singh Rajput or Ronit Roy shows... in the last two decades Ram Kapoor and Hiten Tejwani have impressed me a LOT. Karan is almost as good as Ram Kapoor.
NO I am not phangurling, I dont secretly hope to tie the knot with Karan, I am a much married woman with two kids. My opinion is as objective as can be.

Divyanka is the most beautiful face on Desi TV, she is very good as well in the emoting department. Deeply emotional scenes, and flirtatious argumentative scenes are her forte.

YHM is a unique story of two people coming together for the sake of a child. Indian soaps are MOSTLY cliched and illogical and baseless... I watch it because I WANT to, not because I HAVE to.

Karan and Divyanka have astonishing chemistry on screen. I dont usually see that in every pair, I watched 100s of soaps over the years, theirs is in the Top 3 or Top 5

I am a serious lover of romance fiction, ISHRA romance is the best IMO.
I live overseas I can watch a million shows where the first mode of communication between a couple is SEX before they declare their love after they declare their love, when they hate each other, when they care for each other, when they break up, when they make up... all they have in their bag is one thing SEX... I DONT care for those... I LOVE the Desi style of love story narration. Its "cliched, boring, unimpressive, unimaginative" according to many... but I LOVE IT😃
I LOVE the over simplistic way of solving problems in Desi soaps... I agree I rant and criticize and post my diatribe every day on things that annoy me... my expectations are very very low, I am shallow fickle and immature... 😃

But I am able to thoroughly enjoy whatever I love... FULLY... which is ISHRA/DIVAN romance
The day I stop doing that, I will get off this bus.

Thanks for sharing your opinion as always😃

Nisha-thanks sooo much for this eloquent reply🤗🤗lubbb you for this!
You have penned down everything I have felt abt romance on desi shows-give me a sizzling couple with great chemistry & I will keep going back to watching them even if the story and premise suck. Even if it means only endless eye locks 😉

Karan & Divyanka rock-& yes I agree Karan is one of best actors I have seen on TV as well. Divyanka-I keep going back and forth-some scenes she is delightful, others not so much. Karan however seems to hit the right chord every time. I have to admit though that these two as a couple grew on me slowly-guess the reason why I took this long to get on board.

But I can see where Desdemona is coming from-Raman isn't exactly the typical knight in shining armor kinda typical desi show lead-his complex character takes a little getting used to-leave alone liking him:)But KP plays him soo brilliantly-that you fall in love with him eventually

My humble opinion:)

Naah. You aren't pessimistic - just realistic. 😆Ekta is not known for showing stories where the married couple never cheats/gets married seven times/ sacrifices for stupid things. It is her MO. But YHM has given out positive vibes till now - which were absent in Kasamh Se, Kasauti etc. Which is why I am following the show.

And yes, the day Raman cheats on Ishita or leaves her for whatsoever reason, I'll quit.

Ishita, I can see sacrificing because it is in her nature - she'd want the best for Raman, which she believes is Adi, or want the best for Adi and Ruhi, which she'd believe is Shagun. I don't mind. It's there and I know it. Raman, on the other hand, is known for being adamant and extremely fast and fierce when it comes to taking decisions - so I want him to be adamant on being with Ishita. Those are the dynamics of their relationship. At least for me.

Ekta knows what sells. No matter what happened, Archana and Manav never cheated or married again in Pavitra Rishta. Same with BALH - no cheating. She IS trying to change her Mihir Virani/Anurag Basu sorta male persona...so I'm giving her a chance. And like you said, something like this happens, just jump off the YHM train.

@Desdemona : As much as I can see where you come from, I don't agree with it. Raman is NOT the knight in shining armor, rests his head over the puddle so Ishita can walk across it sort of guy. he's rude and harsh. But then again, Ishita does not take it lying down. Which is what makes it fun to watch - two hard headed people, like you said - in a marriage of convenience - trying to find their way through. They are both flawed and that is what each of them falls in love with.
As for KP and DT, I find their romance amusing. Their banter is different to watch - reminds me of a lot of couples I know. KP acts Raman well - I wouldn't rank him or anything - but he plays Raman to perfection.

LOVEDDD your lines in blue, pretty much said everything about Raman in just two sentences👏👏

Yep, Karan plays it to perfection... except for his occasional forays into mimicking SRK or Sallu Miya, I totally think his emoting is top class... and I LOVE to rank em... I dont get paid for it but I do😉

Yep, Sam lets have them do endless eye locks and some intelligent verbal sparring😳😆👏... I dont wish to see either half naked or wholly naked🤢
Takes away the magic... what is left unsaid and what is left to imagination visually is way more powerful than having the act itself on TV🤢 I can always watch Hollywood shows if I want to watch explicit sex for NO REASON😉

I actually fell in love with Raman Bhalla at first sight... the first sight was visually way more appealing than the 4 inch bearded majboor Raman we get to see these days😭

The assured self confident, angry, passionate, deeply caring, sullen man was extremely attractive to me... his tremendous good looks in the first couple months along with his sheer disinterest in anything related to his marriage, made him utterly drool worthy😳👏

She was just GETTING under his skin...😳 he did a fabulous job in making me believe that

I finally got around to watching the episode. I felt the episode was gripping with drama and romance. Ishra scenes had my heart racing and I am in awe of such mind blowing chemistry that these two exhibit on screen every single time they come close 😳

The scene where Ashok throws Shagun out, I was trying so hard to feel her pain and show some empathy but my mind kept telling what goes around comes around and she is reaping what she had sowed 6 years ago. All the baddua's that Mrs.Bhalla gave her for wreaking havoc in her son's life by mercilessly dumping him and ditching her 6 month old grandchild is catching up to her. I did feel bad for Adi cause Shagun was his life, his ideal parent and his world literally shattered seeing his mother in a state where she keeps calling herself trash. He is still a little boy and does not have to grow up beyond his age to take care of his mom who is completely selfish and did not think about her son once when she decided to drown her sorrows and pain in alcohol. Ashok was absolutely right in calling her gold digger and a use and throw tissue. I might be called evil for saying this but Raman should have taken a picture of Shagun lying on the road by the dumpster with Adi next to her and can show it as a proof in court as to what kind of mother she is and how she treats her kid. I am pretty sure that Raman and Ishita have a huge heart to forgive this bimbo and take care of her for Adi's sake.

Mihika has completely lost it and has no respect in my books. Whether she is married to Ashok for real or faking it I don't care cause she has lost her self respect the minute she decided to succumb to her molester's blackmail/pressure or whatever may be the case. If she is pretending to be married then is it even worth risking living under the same roof with Ashok? Wait, let me take a step back, oh I know where she gets the inspiration probably from her dearest sister Ishita who at the middle of the night went out to fetch her molester/pervert Param home. I hate the CVs for ruining such strong willed independent characters like Ishita and Mihika in the name of reforming and/or bringing out the real face of perverts/molesters like Param and Ashok. There are other ways to expose them. I don't like the idea of the victims putting themselves in danger just so they could bring out the real face of these monsters. That is no way smart or intelligent in my book and no woman with an ounce of common sense and dignity would go near her molester let alone live under the same roof. I was disgusted to see Mihika walk down the stairs hand in hand with Ashok. However, Sangram Singh and Mihika Verma do make a cute pair.

Now, for your information, I also live in overseas and I like to watch Hindi programmes and shows than watching innumerable English shows. I am watching Hindi shows since Humlog and Buniyad days

I think I have good knowledge and judgement and can think and analise these sort of things.
The reason I joined the India forms is to criticize and express what is good and what is not in audience's point of view.

I apologize if you thought I implied I have watched more Desi TV than you have and have access to better entertainment because I live overseas... NO to both
Hollywood entertainment is not necessarily superior, if it was then 99% of the movies wouldn't be crossing the $20M mark😃
I am sure you've watched TV for years...I bet you are more knowledgeable and possesses superior judgment to critique YHM and Desi shows in general. I do what I can😃... I LOVE ISHRA and don't generally care about the peripheral storyline
It doesn't bother me enough to quit watching altogether. I rant and complain and whine and bang my head about every thing other than ISHRA, and curl up with cookies and hot chocolate and savor ISHRA.
Works fabulously well for me😳
