A very appreciative post!! Well done Ek Paheli 👍🏼👏
Each and every word that you have said in your post is so very damn true. We the viewers who have lived the characters of Raman and Ishita from the very beginning have been cheated. We have cried when they have cried, got angry when they got angry, felt their pain and hurt when they felt cheated?!!!!

Was this the only way for the makers of the show to end this track..All the immense pain and intensity which was shown in this MANI track is thrown out of the window just like that as if its a normal thing to happen between a husband and wife. What every may be their reasons for the change in script or whatever, they should have shown us at least one episode heck one scene wherein the leads have an heart to heart conversation explaining each other the reason behind their actions taken. As I can now see that this track is ended so what are we suppose to draw the conclusion / outcome of this track in the story of RAMAN & ISHITA's PAL PAL BADHE YEH HAIN MOHABATTEIN:
1. Are we to assume that Raman's has overcome his insecurities regarding Ishita and that he has realized that Ishita is different from Shagun and that she would not leave him like how Shagun left him?

2. Are we to assume that Ishita knows why she was doubted by Raman in the first place and that how her unintentional lies played a catalyst in unleashing the hurt/pain/heartbreak caused by his previous marriage?
3. Are we to assume that now Raman has complete faith and trust in Ishita and vice versa?

4. Are we to assume that now Ishita knows that Raman does care for her and that she is equally important if not more than his ex in his life??

Like these there are many more questions which I as a LOYAL Viewer of this show seeks answers of!!! Unfortunately there is no one out there who cares to answer back!!

Thanks Vidya

Disappointed would be a understatement but as I mentioned in some post.
ek baar, dho baar, teen baar disappoint hui thi but ab harr baar bas aadat si hogayi.

sach yaar kya kar rahe hai ye log?

Its a sort of disconnection and indifference I felt when I saw that episode right after the episode which was like do or die for ISHRA, high on emotions and highest point of MU...

I cant even call it indifference - they are fighting like cats and dogs on petty things not snubbing each other and ignoring each other - which I would have prefered over this anyday

I had even posted that it seemed like I missed a few episodes when Raman came cursing under his breath like in his usual mocking manner to apologize, while all Ishita was bothered was about a broken bracelet!
We were the only fools who were crying for their relationship which was on the verge of breaking!

Over night, everything is solved. Raman is back to taunt and he even accepts Mani-Ishu friendship while Ishita has transformed back to her sensible wife form! I can only get one meaning out of this sudden abrupt stop. They just dont want ISHRA relation to progress further. If they apologize and converse in a serious manner, then the relationship obviously has to progress further but they had to make it all seem like a child's play!

They dont need to talk now but can they stop being imbeciles please? in fact with what happened in the bedroom they could have shown avoiding each other like the plague for weeks if not days

kuch high points dikaa denge, then back to square one. Like some candies to kids, we get to see some ISHRA scenes and nhok jhok. unn sab se hi humein khush rehna hai!

I know! 😒

I confess that i liked the oil scene just because it was a sort of entertaining but then I had to force myself to forget all the things that happened in the prior episodes. It felt like CVs have conveniently let the matter rest and forgotten that anything of that sort happened.
Are human emotions and let out words so easily forgettable and forgivable? Perhaps thats what we can hope for in a daily show and in this slot!

to the cvs that happens for real

High drama and then some twists, turns is all thats needed to keep the TRPs high!
Ab dimaag, memory sab kuch locker mein rakh ke episode dekhna padega shaayad...
🤣 🤣 Word Vidya!

I am an extremely patient and positive viewer and normally I try not seeing too much or too deep into anything. And neither do I believe in over scrutinizing. YHM has overall been a brilliant, perfectly written, very well made show and even if it had its faults, it more than made up for them on every front, writing, direction and acting.

So far in all the tracks even if we did not get a good conclusion or a befitting one, it didn't seem too bad. But this time even I have to agree that the show two days ago and yesterday seem like two different soaps and not the same. One day the misunderstanding is on its highest intensity. Bitter actions and words are meted out. The couple weeps and cries. And BAM, next day they are both back to their old self. I don't have an issue with any of it as an episode because IshRa are IshRa because of those fights and cute stuff. But what happened between them had to have a conclusion before they turned a 360 back to where they were. Even if they don't reach to a conclusion at all about the scenario that happened, at least they can talk about it? And if they haven't, how have they managed to push it under the rug?

Raman still got a scene where he's reflecting over the past few days but Ishita? She seems to have forgotten everything. No monologue, nothing on her end. So how did this change happen?

The show is overall very impressive and somehow with time all of us probably will let go of the mistakes, but in the end the whole meaning of the track gets down to being pointless if its end result isn't worthy enough.

The topic is brilliant Aani. Maybe we should forward it concerned people and let them know our point of views.

Thanks for this post Aani! Just saw your post and logged in just to comment on this.
I felt the same as you did with the last 2 episodes being totally out of sync with the most important track of YHM. I was very disappointed and cheated with the lack of explanation as to why they both are back to normal. Like you said, a decent conversation between the two w/o taunts and insults would have done the trick.. I would have felt better.

From Raman's side: The episode which showed Raman's FB in the car and walk outside on the road.. did not explain what exactly he felt about Ishita.. was it just the realization that she was behind his ABH position or was it that he realized she loved him or was it that she did not love Mani but was only thanking him for his help with an ILU. And what Simmi told Raman was only that Ishita and Mani stopped Ashok from creating a mess but that doesn't prove that Ishita did not love Mani as he specifically saw her say ILU and also that she should leave Raman and Ruhi and go to Mani.. but I did not understand how his FBs proved that Ishita did not love Mani!

Unless like Ruby said on LU thread, Raman never doubted Ishita's character in the first place and only felt that she did not love Raman which was responsible for his frustration. But then he was violent in the bedroom with her and said many things to her.. how would that be justified?

From Ishita's side: She was extremely hurt in the party when Raman credited Shagun's betrayal for his success. She went berserk on everyone that came in the line of fire.. she came home to a drunk Raman who insulted her and threatened to claim his haq on her in every sense.. she was once again hurt. Like you said, that night was the height of insecurity for Raman.. he hit a rock bottom that night with his behavior and relationship wrt Ishita. He then caught Mani with her that night and threatened to gaadofy him.. he was not ready to accept or listen to any explanation. Ishita too decided not to give him any..

Why is Ishita so casual about that night.. like it was just another night.. She is only worried about the bracelet that she gave him.. since the last 2 episodes she has been bickering about only that and not once even said that Raman got it all wrong about her. And what exactly has Raman been trying to apparently apologize for? The bracelet? To the mu between Ishita and Mani? And how come Ishita gave in so quickly? (On a side note, loved the way Raman embarrassed her during the oil bath to make her accept his apology😉.. but that doesn't have anything to do with the topic.. so😳)

I feel lost w/o an explanation from the story itself.. of course we can imagine many things as to why they are back to normal and also more flirty now but that is not what I would like.. I would have liked to see them both talk it out and sort it out.. but alas! hope they make it up in the coming episodes at least because the leads we saw 3 episodes back and after that have no resemblance for me.

Aani you need a jhappi 🤗, thand rakh puttar! I calmed down yesterday for reasons personal but I did calm down. I am rehashing what I wrote yesterday in my post. I am equally frustrated and I want some Goddamn closure! Raman and Ishita NEED TO TALK before I start going bald because I have been pulling my hair out of frustration.

My two cents:
As uncomfortable as I was watching Raman misbehave and manhandle Ishita a few days ago I was thankful that an Indian show has the guts to show this ugly side of a relationship. Whether we like it or not, such uncomfortable incidents happen in a lot of marriages and the fact that this was shown on a prime time show where the woman had the guts to push her man down, shut him up, and call him 'dirty' and an 'animal' was much needed. A show that has women writers at it's helm I hope they do not forget this incident and address it. I do not want Ishita and Raman to forget that unfortunate night, it was a night where a husband called his wife, an unfaithful woman indulging in what I could politely call not lady like behavior. These are some heavy words used by a drunk man for woman he supposedly loves, and I just hope that the women of this show do not let their characters forget these words and just move on with 'nok jhok'.

If anyone from the YHM team visits this forum and reads our posts then I would hope they take the following message home.

  1. Don't let a woman forget so easy that she was called a women working the streets, this needs a lot of exploration.
  2. Don't let a man forget that he felt emasculated by his wife because she couldn't make him feel secure about her friendship
  3. Don't let a wife forget that her husband is still caged in his past
  4. Don't let a husband forget the insecurity his wife endures when he mentions his ex wife

I just hope for the sake of the viewers we get some closure on these topics, I am not asking for a confession because I am not sure if these two are ready to confess their feelings yet. A lot of growing up needs to happen for these two characters to understand the nuances of love and the responsibility that comes with confessing their love.

I hope the team of women Ekta Kapoor put together for this show don't forget what they have started by bringing up the relevant topics through their show. I hope they have the conviction to see these topics through to their culmination.

To me it needed atleast one epi on regret and one epi on talking..
They have shown mature convos between these two before..why not now..this MU warranted one more than any other track😒
thats what attracted me to the show - flawed characters - yet they fit so well together, perfect romance and growing love - how each track had an amazing culmination. I seriously hope it gets back on track.
I agree with you on all the counts..but your posts cracked me up. I was 🤣

100% agree. Perfect post !
"cheated" is exactly how i feel.

For weeks we've been hurting for those character, rooting for them, trying to look over the mani jhap knowing that something good will come out of this but... nothing. it just ended like that.

Simmo said "mani and ishita helped you for the ABG post" and that was it. Seriously...That was the line that closed WEEKS of drama.

we've analysed their every word, trying to see who was wrong and who was right but it was all for NOTHING.
