Beautiful post! I love the story you quoted. This is the first time I heard of it and I must say what a brilliant example.
Today's episode made it very hard to remember this is just a show. I think for married people especially in arranged marriages the thought behind the scenes hit too close to home.Minus the drinking and being rough part, I guess most of the couples go through those emotions sometime or the other in their married life. You have explained marriage and love so well. You are just brilliant..A very deep understanding of human emotions. I absolutely loved your post 👏To remember that everyone has faults, and to learn to love a person with his/her faults and see the whole picture to make a marriage work is a basic and easy thought that many marriages struggle with..Yesterday's episode was just so mind blowing and so is your post...😊

Dear post maker,
You begin with Greek philosophers and conclude with Bob Marley, interesting.
I haven't watched the show in months but I watched last night and actually found the episode, with whatever sense I could make of it, really powerful. Social media knocks into us this swag of anonymity, easy bluntness, and with that, I will say that drunken men are no strangers to me. Punjabi families have lots of them. When they are happy, they try to lift an SUV in one hand and when they are not, they think it'd be nice to go I-am-your-husband on their wives. Point is, be as it is, they are not all bad persons. And Raman certainly isn't.
Another interesting note to make here is the jealously. The madness it brings to your head, man. The sheer madness! Men are ridiculously explosive when they are jealous and Raman is also more insecure than a man whose been married only once. So, for the first time ever, I was in the position of forgiving a man who was being abusive to his wife. And it may well be the last time. I am glad he didn't finally do anything. I am glad Ishita looked him in the eye and told him she doesn't fear him.
It was a powerful scene, very raw and very real.
PS That analysis is really something. If I watch ahead, I'll come around for your metaphors!

Yeah it got a tad bit philosophical for a fictional show, I do not think the writers are paying this much attention to the show and the characters as we are on this forum, I might have gone a little overboard today 😆How do I know what is going to hit you the most from the post, I knew as soon as I wrote that line that G is gonna like this the most.lol you still make me blush gurl 😳, and add anything whenever you feel like it!

Oh I loved the philosophical part as it went with your feelings about the episode. You never go overboard...you're one of those people whose every sentence is a reflection of their thinking...so it makes sense...it's like someone speaking to you. I hope I make sense😆
You know me too well...you know what things make me gushy 😳
Come on already..enough with the blushing...I'll say get used to it...😆
