Ok, so my wifi router is down so will not be available in LU today ... as the internet connection and TV are in different rooms ...
So ... Kri ... I logged in to the forum and read about all the negativity ... 2 hi post khole ... usme Ishu mahaan thi ... needless to say ... immediately closed them to avoid any preconceived notions ... then since I was missing my LU gang of 11, decided to stalk LU and read a word on the last page ... from one of my 11 pm members (dunno whom) ... it was INTENSE ...
That was it. I decided to play Pettigrew and finally I watched the episode on dailymotion.
My thoughts about this episode are definitely affected by the fact that am a married woman and no stranger to every aspect of a marital relationship. However, having said that, I do not think it makes a difference. As per me, what happened today is wrong. He tried to force himself on Ishita ... and it is NOT husband's right as he stated ... there is a reason it is called Making Love and not SEX when a husband and wife do it. They do it with CONSENT ... rather this logic applies to any of the partners not only a husband and wife.
Even a blind person will infer that it was definitely missing today. What prompted him to take his step, that he was drunk, that he was apologetic in the morning does not make a difference, at least in my books, first as a woman, and secondly as a wife. He crossed the line. It does not make a difference whether he was successful in physically forcing himself on her ... his intent to show his upper hand via his physical strength was totally uncalled for.
In fact, if am not wrong, this is a hugely debatable topic that why is marital rape not considered a crime in India ... as per the law in other countries, any women who is forced to have sex by her partner by her consent will be considered an attempt to rape/rape ... it does not matter whether the partner is her husband ...
So, what Raman did was WRONG ... and what Ishita did by standing up to him was absolutely right ... and if any girl says that she tried to be mahaan, she did wrong ... then seriously, at the cost of sounding rude, I wanna ask them ... R u for real? Would you allow your drunk partner to force himself on you, just because he wants to prove that he has all rights on you? Do you consider yourself an object or commodity? Rights are on the soul and heart and making love is a part of it ... not the destination ...
And the precap ... I liked it ... why should she leave her childhood friend if her husband has misunderstood her ... they have not even talked about it once ... the bracelet problem in her thoughts was solved ... she does not see a problem with Mani ... he has not told her he has a problem with Mani ...
instead, he tried to force himself on her last night ... he mocked her in public recently (have not seen the episode of party.. but made out from the scene today), is out rightly rude to her in public ... and now he is demeaning her best friend ...
(barring the stupidness shown in the serial to forcefully create the MU ... like changing his name to Manisha ... that makes me really break my laptop screen, or today she called Mani instead of any other family member to update on Romi's accident ... this is utterly STUPID and uncalled for and immature ... Since, Deewali celebrations kept me away from YHM so if there are more, am not aware about them).
If I turn the tables and someone mocks Mihir, his so called confidante, brother, best friend in front of him ... Raman will skin him alive ... just because Mihir is of the same gender does not give him the right to play with the emotion of friendship ... he needs to know that ...
Lastly, can I say am excited for tomorrow ... I so want to see how will Ishita respond? I like this no nonsense taking women who knows the ground she is standing on and is not a spineless creature ... this was the Ishita I was missing for so long ... the woman who showed the CEO of the year his place on the second day of his marriage that he better be a good parent in front of their daughter otherwise he has no place in the house ... she is the woman with brains ...
BUT again having said that I still have problems with this stupid forceful MU ... and as a woman, you do not change the names, you do not call your best friend if ur brother in law is hospitalized, u call family ... Bhallas, Simmi, Bala, Iyers ... the list is endless ... not Mani ...
Like I said in my post last week, CHEE to the thoughts behind the track ... this has ruined both Ishita and Raman equally ... Ishita is not a FOOL which she has been depicted as in the show ... Raman is always upfront and direct and infamous for his acidic tongue ... but this time, he has been shown to sulk, and God save me cry ... this is not how these two behave ... But again maybe a justification has been shown in the previous episodes ... I have a problem with the MU track ... I did not want a confession on the basis of MU especially the age old clich Jealousy track and secondly, the same old raag of a man and woman cannot be friends ...
P.S. (Sorry about absolutely being out of context. Am back to forum after a week so have a lot to rant): How many of you want to shoot Ishita ki hair stylist ... first a dori on the rain dance vaali dress ... 😡😡😡😡😡... and now gajra with a modern saree ... that too double the size of her own face ... 😡😡😡😡
Really someone pleej to tell Ekta to change the designer ...
