Hey ... am extremely short on time due to some professional commitments so am pasting my reply in another thread because the other thread is also loosely similar to what you have written.

I appreciate your POV and welcome your thought. Having said that, I do not support you one bit and I here by present my counter POV for that.

I loved the beauty of this scene yesterday for one sole reason .. I could believe in what Raman did or what Ishtia yearned for.

Raman has of course been harsh towards her from the beginning of this relationship but have you noticed the subtle change ... they used to bicker and outdo each other in the beginning and now it has moved on to the cute vaali nok jhonk. There is a change in the way they speak to each other.. a simple instance like pagal madrasan was said with disgust or contempt by Raman and now he uses the same phrase while smiling also. There is a change.

Coming down to yesterday's scene. If you notice, what affected Raman was the fact that his wife thinks he is unromantic. The catalyst happened to be Shagun's scene.

Notice, that he was simply offended with Shagun's stance and left the room in disgust. He was angry from her disgusted from her. If he had to prove a point to Shagun, he could have done something in front of her and the family to prove a point and show it to her. That is when he would actually be demeaning his present marriage. Instead, he left that room, albeit disturbed.

He came back later once Shagun had left and insisted Ishita to accompany him. Notice his expressions, he wanted to spend some time with her. He was as affected as her. He gave a lame excuse to Mihir to stand by and instead went ahead with Ishita.

And then finally the dance. He did not want to prove a point. It was the man in him who was affected by the words that his wife thinks he is simply an arrogant man with no romantic soul in him. Therefore, he urges her to do something childish like dance in the rain and says ...
"Mai bhi to dekhu ki mai vakaye me khadoos aur insensitive hoon" .. he found something missing in his relationship and wanted to mend that. So it was a beautiful attempt from my end.

Coming down to Ishita ... a woman who has been constantly rejected on the day of her engagement ... rejected numerous times by so many men in her life, rejected by her husband many a times ... and now the ex wife of her husband mocks her in front of her relatives. When Shagun told Raman is romantic, she just demeaned Ishita that you can never have what I shared with Raman ... you will never be good enough for him. Another sort of rejection.

So, her self-confidence will be at its lowest given the situation. If you look, she did not react. She was just sad. Extremely sad. She was working through everything like a robot.
She did not even accompany Raman with all her heart.

So, when Raman asked her out ... and danced with her .. and treated her like a woman for the first time in her life ... she was absolutely overwhelmed ... look at her ... she was close to tears ...

She was earlier reluctant and stopped him but she eventually agreed after Raman's same dialogue of khadoos and insensitive .. that is when she understood Raman had heard and what he is going to do is for HER ... solely for her and not to prove anyone else any point.
Even during intial dance she was reluctant and it was Raman who kept coming back at her .. she gave into her sensations much later.

something like doobte ko tinke ka sahara ... what Raman did brought back the woman in her ... it brought back her self confidence in her as a woman.

For me, this is what made this scene entirely beautiful.

BUT, what made is extremely beautiful was the talk on the next day when Raman says that some moments are to be cherished between the couple and not for for any one else.

He definitely repeated his stance about the earlier night that whatever happened was between them and a progress in their relation ... it was not to prove any point ...

This was not at all planned or a show of mercy by Raman. It was a moment of realization by Raman that something was missing in this relationship and it was time he mended that.

Your thoughts, agreement or disagreement are welcome.

thanks for this post..i posted this in another topic..again posting..

ranam-ishita in this point needs mature conversation that too heart to heart conversation..
not some rain dance..
i would have loved if raman took ishita some special and private place telling her we dont share anything special moments till now but we will have plenty of these slowly..some other words to her nicely even ishita share some insecurities to him..then raman clarify that..then they can show rain seq..it would looked beautiful..not this rain dance which looked very random..

or atleast when shagun told all things like this... raman and ishita could have told some nice beautiful words about their relationship to all...it would be more romantic..

for me last week and this week ishra scenes are not planned...it is not for the narrative..bcoz it has no continuity from earlier ishra behavior... suddenly showing these type of scenes cvs are only calming internet viewers..and also divert from the discontinuity, inconsistency in the show and off screen drama...

One woman rejected him but he had numerous falling all over themselves to sleep with him, to marry him once he changed his appearance, had money but no man was even willing to want her as a wife, not even Raman himself, purely because he hated her out of a misborn agenda against women in general.

He has faced one rejection - she has done countless and would have always only because she cannot do a thing about something beyond her control

Aani,🤗
with all due respect I disagree with your post.

he had rejection not by one woman but by his kid too. is he really able to change root of rejection by his kid? how could be it materialistic?
he is not just a man when he was rejected. he is father of 2 kids and divorcee .

Those thousand women were ready to sleep with him but does not he know that what those women actually expected from marriage with him ? Lets just take one example of dat cameo girl . Was she really going to marry with raman being just normal man ?

He got money and all but dint he want real marriage ? otherwise he could have married to any girl.

what ever the root case of rejection is, cannot reduce the pain anyone is suffering from. right ? he just tried to put balm by his own efforts but could he get success in that by trying to change root of his rejection!!

He was being cheated in terms of commitment he saw his wife committing adultery in front of him and his ex still comes in front of them.

He ll have to face n respect such a woman because of his kids despite of she keeps using his kids to make him dance.
The woman he has to let go for each of her tantrums still keeps poisoning his own son!!

He has faced and still facing hate of his own blood. Can it be altered ?

Ishu faced rejection by society so he too has faced rejection as a failed man , his ex still kept mocking him in front of all hi society . Is it little ?

She was mocked by him so he was too insulted by her in front of media calling he is not good father n all. Temme only one incident after their marriage when he mocked her infertility. In fact i remember when he by slip of tongue he spoke about infertility but immediately turned to their physical relations, later he never repeated it.

Even when subu s mom insulted and mocked her both times he had defended her .

still even she has faced all rejection and her root case can't be changed but despite of her man keeps telling her that he wants to start his new memories with her, even in accident track he clearly said that shagun is nothing but adi s mother for him . she has not trust on him. and she will never have trust if she will keep thinking that he has not moved on from shagun.

if he has believed her that she has moved on from subbu in just one time, he has number of times told her that he wants to move on and he will never leave her, he wants her to become her strength. and these all convos din have bickering session at all neither she was shown confused at all. and he has indicated in all this that he has accepted her the way she is. he has always avoided her infertility issue because he does not want to hurt her. but if he says he wants her with him in fact we saw he was head over heals for her.

after all this ranting, I still leave here about my frustration for her character shaping,

I only want that she should also reciprocate ,claims and start to work on marriage instead of only crying and craving for romance. her husband will never be able to go alone and make successful relation if she keeps running calling it chhee, bringing sautan on HIS bed breaking basic sanctity of marriage and hurting friends feelings, mocking him in front of his ex calling him unromantic and khadoos then crying that she has not got those moments and will get busy in social service . he has even shown lot of times physical attraction and desire for her. I want to see now her to initiate .

in past days if you remember i too wanted equal focus on her part but i guess cvs failed to do it and made her busy in social service and family drama and she kept avoiding her priorities.

in short: clapping needs 2 hands.

I second you Samrudhi. Agree with u 100%ly. Rain sequence romance seems forced. Romance can't be planned it happens naturally. Very much disappointed with the sequence. 😕
