Leaving the Past Behind
The police dragged everyone out and called an ambulance for Ashok. Shagun stared at his life-less soul. She recalled their loving moments and the 6 years they had spent together. But now, he was dead, because of her. Moreover because of him. And Suraj. Suraj was lucky that Mihir had left him alive and gave him a chance to run, far away, or else Shagun might not have been as merciful. A beast had awaken in her and she was ready to unleash it upon everyone who double-crossed her. Starting with the Bhalla family and finishing off with Raman and Ishita. The ambulance ran upstairs, pushing past the handcuffed Bhallas as they silently walked towards the police vans. One by one they entered, all staring at the ground as they walked. No-one made eye contact, or dared to talk as they had all been told "that anything you say or do, can and will be used as evidence in a court of law". Shagun started her plan and starting crying loudly, falling to the ground. She roared "my life is over! Because of the Bhallas murdering my to-be-husband, I am being taken in to custody. And Adi!" She cried louder as Mrs Bhalla stared furiously at this drama queen. "Mere bucha! They kidnapped him!" She looked around her and the police had fell in to her trap.
Raman looked at Ishita with love in his eyes. She sat silently, head out the window, thinking about how her life had changed in the last few hours. Ruhi and Aditya sat in the back, Aditya had one arm around Ruhi and she stare at him affectionately. This brother and sister relationship would be ever-lasting and unbreakable. He nodded at her, and the fact the Aditya was with them, made Ruhi happier than ever and she had hope that everything would be fine so she laid her head in Aditya's lap and he stroked her hair until she fell asleep and then he sat her up and put her seatbelt back on.
"Adi beta? Do you want some ice cream?" Ishita asked, trying to help him feel comfortable.
"No, I am fine..." He replied sort of rudely, but trying hard to keep his cool.
Ishita knew that Aditya wouldn't warm up to her immediately but she would try as hard as she could to keep him happy. Raman pulled over and got some from a stand.
"Haan Bhaiya, what would you like?" The man asked.
"2 blackcurrant, 2 chocolate," he replied.
"Is that all?" The man asked.
Raman nodded at him and he got them ready. Ishita looked at him lovingly and he smiled sweetly.
"So you remembered," she smiled, her smile stretched from one side of her face to the other.
He nodded and handed her the blackcurrant.
"Papa? How did you know I liked chocolate?" He leaned over and looked at Raman.
Raman held Aditya's face in his hand "because, you have liked it since you were small Adi. You remember right, I was your Dad a long time ago?"
"And you are now as well," Adi smiled at him and hugged him from the side.
Aditya sat back in his seat and woke up Ruhi. Ruhi got excited seeing the ice cream and they all enjoyed.
After a while they reached the airport and gave Ishita tickets while he got the suitcases from the trunk. Ishita stood outside the airport scared to step in, she was about to leave the life she knew behind. She didn't want to do it alone. Raman saw her feeling uncomfortable so he held Aditya's hand in his left hand, and Ishita's hand in his right. She put her head on his shoulder and they walked inside, Ishita was holding Ruhi's hand and she looked around. She knew they were leaving and so did Aditya so they went in front of their parents and walked together. Sometimes a siblings support is more than a parents, and the happy family walked together, having comfort in each other.
Mrs Bhalla walked over to Shagun and awkwardly (because of the handcuffs) lifted her up and pushed her back down. Shagun fell hard to the ground and yelled.
"How dare you talk bad about my children?! I will kill you!" Mrs Bhalla walked over to her again.
Simmi ran over to her mum and stopped her. The police sent Simmi and Mrs Bhalla back towards the van and the police took Shagun seperately.
"What? Why are you arresting me?" Shagun yelled, she thought her plan had completely worked.
"Ma'am we still have to question all witnesses, I am sorry, please come with me," said the Officer as he led Shagun away from the crime scene and the tennants watch from above, ashamed.
Raman and the rest, checked in and sent their luggage in to the plane. Along the way they still held hands, for no other reason beside that they wanted to. They all board the flight and Raman takes their carry-on bags. He sits beside Aditya and Ishita sits in front of them with Ruhi. They all smile at each other knowing that what they are doing is for the better. The air hosts close the plane door and begin to settle passengers in their seats.
PRECAP: Shagun tells the police that Raman and Ishita were witnesses and have kidnapped Aditya, who was rightfully Shagun's by law. Police attempt to reach plane as countdown to takeoff begins. The countdown begins and it is a race against time for the police to see if they reach Ishita and Raman before the plane takes off.
