Part 5a

Mihika smiled and replied in a serious tone "nahi jeeju...ab aur koyi sharaarat nahi...mujhe patha hai ke aap dono ko ye lamhe ka kitna intezaar hai...so no more pranks...woh saare pranks jo humne kal se kiye teh sab kuch iss gift keliye tha..." She showed the way into the room and added, "So this gift of love is from all of us..."

Raman couldn't believe what he heard and he was a bit puzzled too at the sudden twist of events that night. She went on to say "jaahiye...akka is all yours now.."

He grinned at what she said as if thanking her for the gift and walked into the beautifully decorated room.

Mihika closed the door and yes, she didn't forget to put the"DO NOT DISTURB" tag on the door knob.

Ishita turned to the door when she heard the door getting bolted. She felt relieved seeing Raman and voiced, "Raman...accha hua aap aagaye...yeh Mihika na mujhe chodke kahi baahar chali gayi...come lets go and find her...humein ghar bhi jaana hai na? its so late...kahaan reh gayi yeh paagal ladki...ek toh humein yahaan tak keench laathi hai aura b khud ghaayab..."

Raman was waiting for her to finish but she wasn't stopping. He snapped her then, "arre arre...tum lecture dehti takthi nahi na? kitna bolthi ho yaar..."

Ishita rolled her eyes in mock anger at his taunt and replied, "ok fine main nahi bolthi...but chaliye..."

"Kahaan?" Raman was quick to ask and she replied, "Aur kahaan? pehle Mihika ko doondna hoga...phir waapas ghar..."

Raman couldn't control his chuckle at her innocent ignorance and replied, "Mihika aur MIhir apne kamre mein suhaag raat manaa rahe honge...you want to intrude there now? Kitna ajeeb lagega??? Where are your manners Mrs Ishita Raman kumar Bhalla?"

Ishita still couldn't get it, "apne kamre??? Toh yeh karma kiska hai?? its also decorated and looks like a wedding night room..."

Raman sighed and decided to play along, "hoga kisi aur couple ka jinka bhi aaj suhaag raat hai!"

Ishita shrugged, "Whatever!" and then tried to reason out, "Anyways, forget it...lets go back home...amma appa, Ruhi sab pareshan honge...phir mummy ji papa ji, Romi ke bhi early morning flight hai na? Come come..."

He held her wrist as she walked to the door. She turned to look at him bewildered while he explained, "Mujhe nahi lagtha koyi humein waapas expect karenge..."

Ishita was puzzled beyond words and sported a enquiring expression, "Kya matlab? Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha...What's happening?"

Raman mocked her, "tumhe kuch samajh kab aatha hai??Main kehta hoom na tumaara dimaag ka connection bacchpan mein hi khat chukka hai...sahi sochta hoom main...jhansi ki rani bannthi ghoomti ho but dimaag ab bhi kahi girvi rakha hai!"

Ishita frowned and angrily spat back, "aap seedhe seedhe jawaab nahi deh sakte na Raman?? Perfect name rakha tha maine...Raavan Kumar! Aap Raavan ho aur Raavan hi rahoge..."

Saying that, she shrugged off and stormed to the door, cursing MIhika and Raman under her breath! He was too quick for her and stood against the door stopping her just before she opened the bolt.

"What will I ever do with you?" his question was impulsive as well as spontaneous and Ishita pouted wondering what he was intending now.

"Arre Jhansi ki rani, yeh humaare liye book kiya unn badmaashon ne...lekin unne kya patha ke unnke akka itne na samajh hai suhaag raat ka matlab bhi nahi patha...tumhe hint dena aur patthar pe laak maarna ek jaisa hai!"

In an impulse and out of her second nature, she just blurted, "arre mujhe kya patha...main thodi na harr raat suhaag raat manaathi hoom"

She realized her slip of tongue only when she finished and saw the naughty glint in his eyes.

It was a combination of anger, shyness and awkwardness that filled her up now. Though things got clearer now to her, still she was confused at all these arrangements. She really had no clue to what was happening behind her back. So she stood baffled and he snapped his fingers near her face teasingly and asked, "ab andar chalogi ya yahi suhaag raat manaane ka iraadha hai!"

She stood fixed at her tracks but her eyes lowered in shyness while he walked into the suite expecting her to follow which she did but she was damn nervous and a little scared of what was going to happen. Was she hallucinating or was it really happening? He never confessed nor did he say anything more. She didn't know what to expect and also wondered what she really wanted. One side of her wanted this, wanted him and complete their marriage in every meaning. She wanted to become his wife and not just remain as Ruhi's mother. Another side of her wanted to hear it out from him before anything else.

He stood near the bed while she walked to the window sill and stood clutching the curtains tightly as if for support.

A few hours before...

Ishita's mom had dragged her to her room to talk about something. Her mom had sensed the distance between the couple somehow, perhaps MIhika had hinted something. Afterall amma toh amma hai, she can find out everything. She had done hours of counseling and showered advices on how she should keep her husband happy and tied to herself. She also told her that she needs to help Raman get over his bitter past with his first wife Shagun and only Ishita's love can do that. Ishita had wondered what had suddenly got into her mother's head all of a sudden...

Well now, she understood that all this was a totally family plan to get her and Raman closer to each other. Perhaps they felt that far away from the bitter memories in Delhi, it would be easier for both her and Raman to think ahead and move forward in their relationship.

Ishita was already thinking on these lines and her amma's advices didn't irk her this time. She knew that her mother was right in whatever she said. Perhaps, she had to let go this time and accept all that was happening. She was thinking exactly like how a wife would think.

Seeing her struggle with the sudden situation and also sensing her tension, he spoke up in a lighter sense, "waise tumaari family ke sweet tortures bohat hi sweet hota jaa raha hai...kahi mujhe diabetes na ho jaaye"

Ishita smiled at that as she knew that he was trying to ease her. She still couldn't look at him.

He looked at her head to toe once again and commented "waise tum aaj kuch bathli bathli lag rahi ho...par jo bhi hai, bohat acchi hai...You look very good and..."

He stopped and smiled to himself without finishing what he felt exactly about her at that moment. She looked so tempting and he was having a tough time controlling himself.

He switched the topic and spoke up trying to get it out of her mouth,"tum dress change karke aa jaao...lets sleep..."

As he turned away from her, she clutched his wrist...He looked at her "kya hua?"

Ishita spoke up looking into his eyes in true Jhansi ki rani style "aaj main sona nahi chahthi Raman"

He turned around fully to face her. Her eyes told him all that she had in her mind but then he couldn't believe what he had read from those deep eyes. May be he wanted to hear it from her or...his thoughts ceased ...
