After the Ishralicious start, Shagun is one character who touched me today... Raman ke one-liners se bhi jyada effect Shagun ke foolishness mein hai...
She couldn't differentiate between admiring and staring with anger... How could she see that in Raman's eyes... Itna delusional hona sehad ke liye teek nahi hai Shagun beta...

Seems Shagun is there to get herself insulted by everyone there starting from MIHIR till Raman... If Mihir can stand against her before Raman, she should have realised that her stars are not working in her favour...

Pagal aurat... Waiting for the famous fall... Itna anticipation kabhi leads ke liye bhi mehasoos nai kiya aaj tak...

I've always founds Shagun's delusions and khushfehmiyan both disconcerting and entertaining. The former because I feel there is something seriously wrong with her. I realize she's delusional, but I don't understand what drives her to want to have Raman still in love with her. I've always felt there are still residual feelings on her end, no matter how much she flaunts her relationship with Ashok. And what exactly is the basis of that relationship anyway? The mutual dislike for Raman and wanting to see him suffer. I really wish the CVs would open up Shagun's character a little in terms of development (I think they just might with the Mihir angle). She lives and breathes Raman after SHE left him. I've heard of loving someone you can't have so much that you won't let anyone else have them either. But isn't she supposed to hate Raman? Even if she doesn't ever want to see him happy, why does she still need/want him to be in love with her? Can't he be unhappy and miserable without having to be in love with Shagun? Why does the latter have to be a part of her wish for the former? She's delusional to think Raman is still in love with her just as she's delusional to believe she's in love with Ashok (and vice versa).

All that aside, Shagun is hilarious, and I love how everyone does her beizzati from Ashok to Raman to Tandon to even Ruhi. I also think Shagun/Anita is super gorgeous, haha. So, I don't really mind her one way or another. 😆

Nice comment... Yes, Shagun character is under developed... Needs to sketched out properly... The only reason why i would think she wants Raman to be a devdas is her guilt. Somewhere, she realises her mistake of leaving Raman on seeing Raman's growth. So, she wants to assure herself that she has a upperhand in her decision and she's happy but Raman is not over her. Raman might get name and fame but not love...

She's too dumb to realise the love in Raman's eyes for Ishu. She will never change...

Ashok makes sure that she lives in her delusions... He was clearly teasing her that Raman is looking at her (with anger ofcourse) but she's dumb to even see through the same...

Women like Shagun are selfish and manipulative . she has accepted that Ashok will never marry her but will not confess it nor will she show it around . it is obvious to her that even a dirty man like Ashok wants a wife and not a showpiece . She never thought Raman will be successful in her wildest dreams . she was only there to harass him and nag him .
So Ashok will use her in every possible way he can to achieve what he wants and let her go in style . she is like an escort per say . that is why she cant accept the fact that Raman has moved on . and is infact more happier than he ever was with her .
material things are more of importance to her . her dignity as a woman and a mother has no value to her .

The way she was introduced should have given her a reality check... When Raman introduces Ishita, the pride which she gets can never be enjoyed by Shagun from Ashok...

She wants to enjoy her life in a luxurious way... No matter whether she gets it being a wife or a girlfriend... She doesn't want to lose Ashok just for his money...

👏

You guys pointed out everything so relevant to the T!

And @Isma_A

I totally agree about Anita being super gorgeous! I wish she was a positive character... It's kinda hard to dislike her as Shagun😕

Think she is pretty convincing... I totally loathe Shagun... Still, there is difficulty in relating her to a vamp. Thanks to her dumbness...

Your comment reminds me of the book "The Street Car Named Desire" where the lead was really delusional... and then there comes a peak to which her delusions break and transforms into insanity. In fact, what aggravates her downfall is the fact that she is raped her sister's husband... and in this case I personally feel that Shagun's downfall will be once Ashok leaves her and she realizes she has no where to go.

And she could be someone else's mistress - but age won't be on her side neither will the charm.
