Same old - same old

This is a show that I watch quite keenly. Mainly because of the lead actors and the supporting cast.

The story line , however is falling into the danger of being predictable! The forum members are already speaking of what is going to happen , even before the sequences are shown--- and they are usually right.

Parmeet meeting Ashok and working with him against Raman... expected and seen on screen before.

Simi, giving full support to husband, turning negative, helping to break down her brothers marriage... is also expected and has been predicted by our clever members.

Romi turning the tables against Bala... expected again and also seen before. Bala 's reputation at stake... again expected.

Toshi ji always blaming Ishu , and never able to accept Ishu has already been seen before in many ,many Ekta 's show.

Romis's misdeeds {his cheating in exams and his mms fiasco} will take a long, long while to come out in the open. that's already obvious.

Shagun will eventually come back into Ramans life and Ishra will separate ... very much expected.

So , for someone who is loving this Jodi and concept of mixed marriage ... I WANT to be sooo wrong. So please Cvs , I thot Ekta said that this is going to be a different kind of love story, but so far everything has been same old - same old!

with so many soaps that have existed before and those that are on air right now, How unique can YHM be? every possible storylines have been explored in other daily soaps. Nothing is new anymore.

Absolutely agree - Ekta shows have a certain pattern and this show is right on track. only the start is different after that its all very predictable.

so sad for the lack of creativity - but as Ekta Kapoor has been quoted repeatedly, "my shows are not for the intellectuals" i think what she meant is for us to leave intellect at the door if we have decided to watch her shows.

Does this make the show boring for me - YES - thats my opinion & I'm entitled to it! Do I still watch - YES - on most days - as a time pass.
Do I keep hoping for more originality - Oh God YES!!!

Agree. So many serials with same plots shown again and again. Agree too, that the show is unique as it has its own touch probably with the leads excellent script.

But it can be even more unique ,when the leads REACT in a different way. Plots can be same old -same old but the reaction should be more mature.

It would be nice if Simi was to investigate on her own. It would be nice if Bala's wife was told about her husbands efforts to unearth the cheats. It would have been nicer if Ruhi had said something about Parmeet always holding Ishus hand ---in all innocence of cos!

One of the forum members wrote that maybe Simi,s sister was also a victim of Parmeet . That would have been different.

Mihika working with Ashok -- it would be nice if she was to know of ashok and Parmeets evil plans. Different too.

But again I am jumping the gun here... For all I know the CVs have all these already planned !

@ Giaa. Of coz you can be bored and grumble and yet watch the show. It is screened for us to see therefore it becomes our show. 😉

I grumble too but I wont miss an episode. I love watching it.

The show has been exceeded my expectations so far (except for a couple of things I didnt quite like)... They have always presented 'cliched' scenes with twists... But honestly, if they have to show something 20 mins X 6 days a week, I can see why some of the plots seem repeated.

BUT... YHM has us 😆 The novel ideas and plot scenarios that people discuss EVERY day on IF are so refreshing, that we are all jointly wishing them into the show... Have faith 😊
