Exactly the problem I have - why as a doctor herself Ishita never ever went for a second opinion is beyond me, Even lay people consult numerous doctors these days then as an educated medical professional why has Ishita never ever been to a second doc?

Also how come the pain only was there for that one day and never before or after that.

Plus how did the doc reach to this conclusion - to the best of my knowledge this kinda pain when it happens and you go to a hospital no where do you land straight at the gynecologist or infertility expert you are sent to general medicine first and they just cannot make this assumptions about your fertility nor can they declare these things on their own, they can only make an assumption based on which they can refer you to a senior doc or a specialist not just declare things they have no idea off.

Seeing it from a logical perspective I got the feel that Subbu's mom was never really happy with Ishu's relationship with her son. I think that Vandita and Bala had an arranged marriage and Bala really loves the entire Iyer family. The kind of woman she is, this particular point itself must have increased her animosity towards the entire Iyer family. And then her younger son decides to marry Ishita who is again from the Iyer family. This lack of control must have definitely rankled her and she might have accepted Ishu only halfheartedly.

Combine Ishita's infertility with the entire thing and she would have been spitting fire on the fact that her son was going to marry a woman who could not bear children ...she might have seen it as a ploy by the Iyer's and assumed they already knew about Ishita's medical condition and were out to trap her son.
Also Bala might have taken a strong stance to support Ishita when Subbu ditched her, this again would have further rankled his mom to quite an extent.

Another key point in this is that the Iyer's are simple people and rarely retaliate. Subbu's mom has a bullying nature and such people find it easier to target people who are to an extent meek. She with her twisted vendatta and her offensive nature actually makes sense as a sidekick wala vamp 😆 ... at least this is what I understood about this woman.

As far is Ashok is concerned while I have a few ideas about his issues with Raman ... his most obvious issue is that he is gay and all those years ago he had a huge thing for the nerdy Raman 😆

She get a sadistic pleasure in putting down Ishita in front of all so she is given attention all the time. This kind of behavior stems from the basic "inferiority complex". Aani I honestly feel problem is not with Subu's mom but with Ishu's approach. She honestly needs to take Toshijee's advice seriously and stand up for herself. Have we ever seen subbu's mom taunting vandu?? Though there are issues in her family too like she works at a higher position than her husband and is more busy also bala always sides with his in-laws BUT vandu is shown to be very straight forward.

Ishu is quite submissive when it comes to standing up for herself. I know being unable to become a mother biologically can be unimaginably painful for a woman but Ishu shud NOT let others take benefit of that n let them hurt her again and again. Yes subbus mom is her sister's MIL but even then there are smart ways to keep someone at bay w/o disrespecting them. This can only happen when Ishu accepts that her not being able to become a mom is not her fault and thus she doesn't deserve to take shit from others abt that.

On a serious note, I have a feeling that Ishita will speak up against Subbu's mom when she finally crosses the line and speaks against Raman/ruhi/ her marriage. I am really hoping they show a track where Subbu's mom goes too far and Ishita stands up against her for her husband and daughter and for herself by telling her how she is happy that Subbu did not marry her.

actually Ishita' story was shown in only 1 episode in barely 2 mins as per that Ishita and Subu were in love since the time they were 15 which Vandita mentions and Subu is shown as saying he wants to marry Ishita asap and has asked his mom to have the engagement ceremony next week itself

Post that it was FF'ed to the ceremony itself where Ishita falls because she is in immense pain. and then things are broken off

But I find validity in the @bold part may be that is why she rejected Ishita for Subu - assuming the Iyer gals will take over all the power in her home and in turn their parents will take advantage of her sons

this def would have rankled a woman like her. But then why cant she just stop already Ishita may not be in love with Raman yet, but she is definitely married to another man in a family that seems to be slowly loving her as their bahu

@red - 🤣🤣 Ashok having hots for Raman is like the opinion that is the most popular thing about these two 🤣 wonder how Sangram and Karan feel about this 😆
