X-Factor Written Update 17th June 2011

Episode started:

2nd Live concert for the X-Factor Contestants..Episode started with some recaps...It was the most challenging episode...Judges/Mentor's will challenge each other by selecting songs for the contestants of the other teams!! It wasn't too good episode as Expected..Lets start..

Started with the judges comment..They expressed that sometimes they feel after hearing a song that if the contestants sing different type of songs, then what would happen?? how would be their performance? So its the perfect time...They want to challenge...

1st it was Sahiti G (Team Sonu) Shreya selected the song for her "Hawa Hawai" Sonu said - Tough song and much expression needed... She was good.. SLB- said it was a combination of Sridevi and Kavita but you did it alone!! Shreya said -Amazing singing..But if you concentrate more on singing rather than choreography it could do much better..Sonu said - This performance withing a short time, You just made me proud..

Then Nirmitee (SLB) Sonu selected the song "Haal Kaisa Hain" SLB said - Tough song...Totally different..Lets see how they perform.. Amazing singing must say! They simply rocked today 😃 Got the standing ovation from the respective judges...Sonu said- If somebody ask me what's the specialty of X-Factor i must say This is the "Specialty" Mind blowing singing... Shreya said - Execution was very much Artistic...Amazing singing.. SLB said - Can't express how happy I am... 👏

Then Amit Jadav (Team Shreya) SLB selected "Aisa Pehli Baar" for him...Shreya said- Song is good and hope to see a power packed performance... Amit wasn't good today! something was really missing...SLB said - Want to say that, Concentrate more on singing than dancing..Sonu said - It seems you are scared..Not that much expressive and hope for a better performance next time..Shreya said - Truly speaking as a mentor, It was an amazing performance but singing wasn't that much 👏

Next Seema Jha (Team Sonu) Shreya selected song for her "Raanjeela" Good selection must say... She was good but not that much...!! Shreya said - You performed very well today...very much expressive..why? She replied only to impress you 😆 I'm impressed Shreya replied..Amazing try must say she added...SLB - Incredible performance..Wanna say a great singer is coming..He also gave her the Red Rose.. Sonu - I'm happy...Feeling was good but you have to concentrate more..

Then Last Minute (SLB) Sonu selected the song " " (forgot guys help me out) SLB said - its Asha ji's song Which is full of expression just thinking how 8 girls will perform but i'm sure they will do better...Again not upto the mark but good...Sonu - You were very expressive and was enjoying the song..thats good to see...Shreya- its a Perfect picture, After the X-Factor when you will become a great Band..i feels like dancing from here...SLB - You have the spirit to do something, to prove yourselves thats amazing...

Then Kartar Singh (Team Shreya) SLB selected the song "O Dilbar"...SLB said- He performed mostly slow tracks so i gave him a playful song lets see how he will perform... Wasn't good performance..He missed couple of lines..but still hats off cause singing like this at this age is impossible! SLB- You were in so romantic mood that you missed those lines? 😆 Sonu - Its impossible to perform with song at this age but you are amazing...Shreya- I was blank when you missed those lines but then you overcome which was enough for me to smile again..

Then Shovon Ganguly (Team Sonu) Shreya selected " Ainvayi Ainvayi" a funky, energetic punjabi Track..Sonu - Tough challenge for shovon, Being a bengali its tough to sing a punjabi song...Where hindi and punjabi mixed and also very quick punjabi words are there! [My point of view, i think his singing wasn't that much good..and some where it was flat] But agreed with the judges, really tough call for Shovon...Shreya - O God!! It was the real tranformation..Nice work..SLB - Superb singing! The way you performed the super fast punjabi track, too good...Sonu - Such a big tranformation! Being a Bengali its too tough!

Then Sajda Sisters (SLB) Sonu selected "Tumko Piya" for them...SLB - It's not an easy song..Lets see how they perform...Overall Good singing...They got standing ovation from Sonu Nigam...He said - No nervousness, no Over smartness, No deviation from Sur...I haven't seen any female group like you in my life...Shreya - Tough song...3 of you performing together but timing was excellent..U just Rock! SLB - Amazing work...Nice singing..

Then Manjeera Ganguly (Team Shreya) SLB selected "Hari Krishna Hari Rama" for her...Shreya - Toughest song but the way she was practicing, I'm sure you'll get a surprise.. Absolutely Right! Manjeera Rocked it 😃 SLB - You are my Bengal tigress today..I gave you a challenge and now you've sent it back to me 👏.. Sonu - If someone got the highest marks for all the performances then it must be you! Shreya - WAH! 😃

Then Piyush Kapoor (Team Sonu) Shreya selected "Mere Maa" for him... Sonu - Complete different track for Piyush but hope he will do better...Good try! Shreya - You tried a lot..I saw a different Piyush today, Feeling was great.. He said yeah..Mom isn't here but i wanna say Mom i love you! 😊 I'm sure you made your mom proud Shreya added..SLB - I felt you wasn't completely surrendered to the song...It was missing! Sonu - Agreed with SLB...it seems like you are not concentrating, you are not trying hard.. Didn't touch my heart...

Then Geet Sagar (Team Shreya) SLB selected "Shukran Allah" for him... Shreya - Its different for Geet..Full of romance, Soft singing...Tough for me but i believe he will sing very well and Successfully pass the challenge.. Geet was good but expecting more from him... SLB - It was good but i think you could do better than this...Sonu - Sometimes best players can't perform well today it was you! I think the concept isn't helping you.. Shreya interrupted - Concept was mine..so its not his fault & i want to show another interpretation of this song..Wanted to express in another angle so that it would have been another romantic song on this stage..But yes it wasn't easy for you.. Geet replied as a soldier I'm gonna take all the responsibilities & will do better next time 👏

Then Deewana Group (SLB) Sonu selected "Yeh Dil" for them... SLB - The song is full of expressions..Not an easy one...They performed well... Sonu - If i gave any difficult song to anyone then This is it..The way you performed its amazing.. Its like the original one...Lovely, what a performance! Shreya - Firstly this costume, Entry, interpretation of this song Simply awesome..Hats off to Sanjay Ji... SLB - Wanna say, this change, Range of your singing, Challenge you took Simply awesome...This is the way, the challenge has to be taken...

Agreed!! but Manjeera was also great...Both deserves "the Performer of the day"! Sad for Manjeera but hope next time she'll get it 😊
