Sahiti from Hyderabad is a contestant on X Factor India. The 24 years old IT Professional, Sahiti has learnt the basics in Carnatic Music. She performed on 'Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba' in Mumbai Auditions and astonished the judges. Sahiti was then shortlisted in Boot Camp at Mumbai and then became the Top 12 contestant at Goa Camp on X Factor India.

Sahiti is the winner of Telugu Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. She is a software engineer with Infosys and has taken a break from work to be part of this show. This singer has not let anything affect her passion for singing.

"I have been part of regional reality shows but X Factor is completely different. I have learnt the basics of Carnatic music. I am not very comfortable in Hindi. So I am working very hard to get to learn the diction and the meaning of the lyrics before I sing."

She is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday's performance was top notch...what a revelation...and totally out of her comfort zone...hope she goes far in the competition...with the way people in india vote..its always sad when talented people have to leave and dont get what they deserve !!!!

she has never danced in her whole life nor knows full fledged hindi but she performed really well on friday the 17th. we're school buddies and i've known her for 10yrs, she would carry a diary with lyrics to school and practise singing in between classes or during leisure periods. i still remember those days when i was playing basketball in the pt hour and she'd be sitting under a tree alone and singing. making her dance or wear flashy costumes is a bit too much to ask of her as she is very shy and reserved - typical girl from south india
