See, that's not the case with me. For me, when i chant His name and do my duty, all the doors I need are opened. He always guides me to what He thinks is the best for me at that time.
My experience with Krishna is different. 2 years ago, I was in big messes. One night, I had had enough of the messes I had created for myself. I sat in front of Krishna, and told Him to guide me out of the mess. And miraculously, the next day, somehow, I had managed to clear all my messes. For me, my faith in Him is what drives me to do my duty. I have given everything to Him, and wholeheartedly let myself be guided by Him. How He guides me is how I will go. For ultimately, His plan is what will happen, one way or the other.
Krishna might also make us do certain things just so we learn from them. We can't understand His game. We can only let ourselves be guided by Him, and follow our duties, the ones He has assigned for us.

Chapter 1 is interesting.
Dharani comes across as an ekdum staunch devotee. So a bit difficult for me to relate. But every scene played in front of me most of the times. It was relatable for me especially after facing many failures in life 😆. Mothers are like that. You forget and they'll make it a point that you recall it everyday 😆. I don't remember going to a temple or chanting anyone's name on my failures. Instead my mind was blocked but that block I utilised somewhere else 😆. I thank that failure every second as my journey of writing started then.

The best way of dealing with failures is to find out a way. Not excuses. But a way that can catalyse your self development. And I ges that's the way to really overcome a failure...

For me, chanting His name is what started everything for me.
I also channeled my everything into writing, when I went through failures. That is what is bringing about my development as well Jan. I get where you are coming from.
We have almost parallel lives, remember?😉

But one thing I am against as a person is, don't make someone believe without doing their duty God will help them.
You can take his name, but your work you have to do. You have to put effort, not that everything will happen in miracles.
So from my perspective I am completely against the last part where Krishna says studying is not the first step she took, but chanting his name is. The Krishna I know will never do that. 😆😆.
Till you make the effort, true effort he will show you failure only. Abhi died so that Arjuna fights against adharma with all his heart

@bold I second this... 😃

Tha we do have parallel lives but definitely with a slight difference 😆. I hardly remember chanting anyone's name.
Am fascinated with the idea of "Ram" but maybe that's because I only learnt "ramraksha" as a kid.

But again I believe in one thing, faith in oneself can do magic.

So I don't really worship anyone or chant anyone's name.

My clear thought always is "my conviction". The slight belief that yes one has thee needed talent, skill or knack of it can work wonders. Hard work follows. More or else " work is worship ".

I have seen ppl who worship and chant and do numerous rituals. But are they truly spiritual??? I have seen them doing them everything with a zero change in their sick attitudes.

So yes I do differ on this point. Worship or chanting can't help solely. But if it does to u its great.

Even SKR nowadays its not that am not watching. But certain things am not much convinced and hence holding back from analysing...

I also don't do pooja and rituals all the time. I do take His name, yes. For me, that is Devotion. When you truly love your God, and take His name, He will hear and bless you.
I still do my duty. Hard work is a little difficult for me as i ma lazy by nature, but I have made myself work hard, for that is hat will give me fruits.
Chanting alone may not help. But for me, I chant His name even as I do my work and my duty. His name is my drive.

Tell me about it 😆
That's one of the reasons I write a lot. If I need a diversion from studying, I have my writing. That's why I seem to update a lot these days 😆😆 I hardly do anything other than these two 😛
