"No..Ambrose Garden"
"I said Triveni Palace and thats the best"
"Nah!Ambrose Garden will be really good"
"Why do you have to argue?Tri..."
"AMBROSE GARDEN.Thats large and cozy"
"Girls.Shush!Speak slow"
Kshitija reminded.
"What are we doing here anyways?We could always plan about Bade Maa- Papa's anniversary in one of us's rooms?"
Shalviyaa questioned.
"I dont know"replied Kshitija.
"Its because I know our mothers keep a check on all of us,especially the helpers are their biggest spies"Shrijeeta answered.
"Hmm.You are right"Manasvini told.
Kshitija rolled her eyes.
"Uff!Back to the topic,Didis"Shalviya ordered
"Oh Yeah!Yeah.When are Adhyatm Dada and his family and ovio Bua and Arsh coming?Then we have Mamu,Mami and Amita too."Manasvini asked
"Gosh!Our family doesnt make any room for other guests.We are more than enough.
There is Shiksha Bhabhi's family and Kashi's family too."
"Ofcourse,You both won't let Kashi Di miss"Shalviya smiled.
"Oh!Mishriii!!Its time for college"Manasvini checked her watch.
"Run Mani Run"They got up to leave.
...
It was break and the group sat in the canteen hall.It were Manasvini and Shrijeeta's college friends,though all of them studied in some other department,they would always join each other for lunch.Kashi was a very close friend of Shrijeeta and Manasvini.
Aanchal shifted the topic,as again
"I can make excellent Kachoriis"
"Even I can make it good,and I love to cook chinese"an other joined in.
"Yeah..when its upto me to cook...though that happens too rarely,I can make good halwa.Probably thats the easiest thing I know to cook to save myself"Manasvini giggled and made the others laugh as well.
"Me too!Then I love baking"
And this continued...
Kashi looked cluelessly around,and then her eyes met with Shrijeeta,who was with the same pose and expression as hers.Cupping their faces with one of their hands,they sat there clueless.
A smile escaped from both of them's lips,turning into giggles.In the midst of all those cooking discussions,Shrijeeta and Kashi laughed out...
"Hi-five!!!"
"I dont cook anything"
"Me too Kashu"
"Shrijeets!Its like..."
"Its like I am a bad cook."
"Me me.."
"I knew it.The world may go upside down,but this girl would always join me in"
"Yes!Yes!Forget me you both"Mani shouted from behind.
"Yes!Yes!who told you to cook halwa?"
...
"Bua Bua"Shalviyaa ran to hug her aunt.
"How have you been?"
Kshitija asked...
"Dont ask me,why is travelling so hectic a task?I would always prefer being seated in my sofa and watch TV."
"That means you are not happy to be here,Didi?"Kalash asked playfully
"No no I didnt mean that"
"Its Okay,Kalash just wants to annoy you"Vridhhi and Dev came from behind.
"Where is Arsh and how is Arsh?"
"That boy of mine is still that sensitive!"Aunt told remorsefully"And I think he must have met his twin by now.He said he'll go pick Mani and Mishri"
"Oh!"Chandrika said assuredly.
"I always wonder about it,Arsh and Mishri have been born on the same day,and still such a vast difference exists between them.Mishri is all bold and happening,whereas Arsh is all quiet and simple.He wants to be in his own world.When I asked him what he wants to do next,he says he would always remain in his lab,sitting with that dog of his and experiment over strange objects. "
Bua started complaining.
"Bua,how is Blaze?"Shalviya said excitedly.
"That dog of his?Ask me how I am?"Bua made a face.
"Shalu,you did forget someone here is scared of dogs"Kalash whispered.
"God knows,what on earth will interest Arsh?"
Bua rolled her eyes.
...
"Is someone new here?"A random girl asked her friend checking out on the handsome fellow that stood beside his car,at the university entrance.
Shy,disconnected,wise,what will you call Arsh?His face greatly potrayed that he was an emotional intelligent person.He had his own world and generally wont mix with everyone,for he had always been contented.He waited for his cousins,both of whom were his only close friends.
But but,his eyes awaited to see someone else too.
The girls came and Arsh stood a lil nervous,it was Kashi with them.The only girl Arsh had ever admired,his secret love.
They must have met many times before but never talked frankly,prone to Arsh's shyness.
"You're here,Cambridge embryo"Shrijeeta said happily.
"Hello genius,are you here?Or calculating something in your mind?"Manasvini waved her hand before him,bringing him back to his senses.
He smiled.
"Hello Arsh.Nice to see you again"Kashi smiled greeting.
"Same here..."
"Kashi!!You forgot it already"she said.
"No!I meant same here...Kashi"
Someone tell Arsh's heart to stop pumping blood so fast.
"Okay I leave,meet you tomorrow,at the party"Kashi told the three of them before proceeding.
"Bye"they said.
After some still minutes,Shrijeeta asked him,"Should we leave now?Kashi's already left",frowning with teasy eyes.
While Mani searched for something in the nearby shop..Mishri whispered to Arsh
"Even if you dont tell me,I'll get it"
Arsh was shocked,he always sought a right opportunity to tell it to Mishri,obviously Kashi is her best friend.
"What?...You're my only best friend...I dont hide anything from you"he stammered a little.
"Thats why I get it"
"What?"
"Get it"
"You two arent in the car yet"Mani came complaining.
...
"Shiksha hurry up"
Adhyatm and Shiksha hid behind the wall.
It was late evening,the cousins all being called in the living area,the elders being already present.
"So they wont be coming this time"Kshitija asked sadly.
"This is not done"Shrijeeta folded her arms.
"No fun without Adhyatm Da and Shiksha Bhabhi"Manasvini said.
Arsh and Shalviya looked at each other.
"It is so.Now you all go and sleep,dont stay up late.We have a puja at home tomorrow"
Acting in a serious tone,Dev told them.
Everyone began to leave,while Shalviya stood the last near the corner.
She turned back.Adhyatm came from side.
"Very bad of Adhyatm,haina Shalu?"
"Hmm.Really"
"Now who'll protect you from all their teasings?"Adhyatm asked mocking
"Hmm.No one"Shalviya replied lost.She didnt have a look who was beside her.
"What should we do now?"
"Hmm.Fetch Adhyatm Da"
"How?"
"I want to go to his home in Kolkata and drag him here"
"But I'm already here"
Shalviya opened her mouth to reply,finding she didnt have any words to do so.
She turned to him,and Adhyatm stood with his sheepish smile.
"Adhyatm Da!!"
"Surprise"screamed Adhyatm,joined in by Shiksha and Amita,there distant cousin.
The elders coming in from the door.
All of them turned back,joy knew no boynds,they instantly went in for a big group hug.
And then as usual there was hustle-bustle,chatter-yearnings,quarrels-shouting and most importantly food and fun in Vats house.
"Bonding it is,which makes turmoils fragile"
Echoed the universe.
