Aparna tried to figure it out whether Neel was kidding to her or not. " I am serious Apu." He turned to Aparna and held her close to his chest. " I was never so serious like now. I arrange everything. We will be marrying tomorrow at 8' clock at Church and after cake cutting ceremony we will head for Manchester." He declared that so confidently that Aparna couldn't tell anything for a moment. She got shocked to see the person who was standing in front of her. Once he always did everything to make her happy. He always stood for her. And today while he declared about her marriage with him he didn't even need to ask her consent!! She couldn't believe in her ears.

But in return he got a glare from Neel which was full of seriousness which he usually gave her when he had to show her the seriousness of any matters. She couldn't understand what to do? But she last time tried to confront him. " Neel you are not listening to me. Look we can't take our marriage decision alone. And I told you na''..I never saw you in that way. How I can think you as my husband? How can I do everything what actually a wife do for her husband? And apart from this I need some time to settle in my life. I want to persue my career''.and" she was stopped by Neel again.

"You will take me your husband after our marriage. And you can see me like your husband just like I can see you as my wife. And don't be afraid. I am completely aware of the duties and responsibilities of mine as your husband. I will make sure that you have no obstacle in your studies. Now just go get ready." He asked firmly.

"N E E L why don't you understand?? I won't marry you?" Finally Aparna shouted on top of her pitch. " I don't want to marry you. Because I see you only as my best friend. A friend who always cares for me. Never judges me. Who always supports me and respects my ability. Who always trusts me, protects me and now he just'..wants to capture me'.." she started crying badly covering her face with her palms.

Neel first time ignored her tears but grabbed her shoulders hard and then removed her hands from her face. " Whatever I have decided is for your own good. You are little disturbed so you can't understand what I am telling to you. But after some time will pass you will realize why I have decided this '" he stared at her eyes longingly. But first time she felt scared and helpless. As she couldn't find love or respect for her in that stare. She only found desire and lust. She moved backward but crashed on the wall. As she walked backward he too advanced to her forward and finally he had cornered in the wall. He arrested her in between his long, strong hands by placing them on the wall of her both side. Then he slowly brought her face to her ear and said, " We have only 6hours from now for our wedding'.you need some sleep. Otherwise you will complain me that I will not give you enough time for sleep. Come." He picked her into his arms and took her to her bedroom. After made her stand on her feet he had handed over her a packet. "As you know ritual wise a groom can't see his bride's wedding gown. So I can't see this. Remember you have always discussed about your marriage attire with me. You told me that you want a Christian wedding where you will wear a white classic gown with lots of frills and your groom will have to wear Morning Suit '.I have bought as your wish Princess. But yes I haven't seen your gown and not my tux either. I have just described the designer what I want and he picked those stuffs for me. So how it will be? I simply don't know. You have to do a trial I think'.." he said grinning.

"No I don't need to." She finally spoke and her voice reflected her helplessness and anger. " I really need some rest. If you excuse me'.." she didn't complete her sentence but she signaled him for leave.

" Oh sure'.sweetheart." He left the room readily. She leaned on the bed and closed her eyes. She couldn't figure out how to handle this matter? Once she thought to go to the police. But then she thought it would be devastating for both of them. Then she thought to call her father but couldn't find what to tell him and how? But finally she decided to call Neel's Kakima. Because only she could calm him down and made him understand about his mistake. But before she did the call Neel stormed into her room'.

"Naughty Girl'.not fair huh. But yes the fault is mine. I have to tell you first. Listen Darling we will give Kakima and your parents a surprise. They will be very happy when they will have our wedding news. But we will tell them together 7 days later after our Honeymoon what say??" he grinned and snatched her mobile from her. She was stunned by his act but couldn't say anything. Actually she had lost her activeness due to this constant argument which she had been doing from the evening. But finally she realized that everything was futile. Nothing could change Neel's decision. So she said to him, " Okay'..Neel. But I have 2 conditions. 1. You will not force me to consummate our marriage by anything. Remember 'no blackmail no anything'.."

"Okay Darling ''you will be with me that is only I want. Nothing else." Neel promised.

"Wait. My second condition is'you and I will stay together under one roof but we will sleep separate. And our marriage news will be kept secret from everyone. Neither you will tell your Kakima and your friends nor I tell this to my family and friend. Clear?" she asked.

"Crystal. And I promise you''." He was interrupted as Aparna raised her hand to stop him. And then she laid on her bed tiredly. And Neel was staring at her with a fixed glance.

Valentine's Morning-The Marriage

The church was built in 16^th century. Its arches and glass paintings reflected the proof in support of the fact. The Frescos were awesome and beautifully depicted Christ's life story. And the Isle where the marriage was going on was decorated beautifully with white roses and lilacs. She looked like Princess in her white classic off shoulder wedding gown where he matched her perfectly in black tux just like Prince Charming. He was smiling while she was little sad. But when the priest asked them to exchange their vows she felt a strange happiness'..while he uttered his vows, " I will protect you in troubles, I will support you in all your good and bad, I loved, love and will love you the way you are'always from the core of my heart. I will honour you and respect you always and will trust you more than me." She felt a shivering going through her spine, her blood suddenly ran faster than any time, her heart felt a sharp pain which gave her pleasure instead of hurt and her nerves became excited and overjoyed. She readily bent on her knees just like Neel and readily accepted by saying.. "I do". Then the priest announced them as husband and wife and asked for their first bridal kiss. He held her close and kiss lightly on her lips. She felt his warm breathe on her face. She felt weak down on her knees and hugged him back tightly. He felt really very happy as she finally reciprocated him. So he also hugged her tightly and kissed her longingly. But suddenly the last night's memory flashed on Aparna's eyes. All her overwhelming and warm feelings became cold and unworthy for her. She loosened her hold on Neel and pushed him back. Though he got surprised he managed the situation with his broad smile. The priest asked them to go for the further rituals. Neel had forcibly picked Aparna in his arm against her wish and they came out from the church. Then after the cake cutting ceremony she threw her bridal bouquet half- heartedly behind her'..only Derek and his wife were the witness of their marriage. Then Neel headed to Manchester with his newly wedded wife happily.

Pain….snatches many things from one as well gives many things to one. What she/he can get or can't get that can't be foretold.

He crushed the page of the note pad in his fist. His teeth bit his lip hard and his jawline suddenly became rigid. He stormed out from the room.

She was pondering about the last few weeks. She was sitting on a bench in the park. The children were playing around her. People were enjoying the lovely evening around her. Some children were sprinkling water from the fountain which was placed in the middle of the park. Some old aged people were sitting beneath the tall, big trees and chatting with each other. But she had no interest in these activities. Normally she greeted the old aged people with her broad and innocent smile, was always ready to play with children. But her present condition just made her numb. She couldn't relate herself with any worldly feelings and stuffs. She closed her eyes and the incident had flashed upon her eyes.

When she opened her eyes couldn't understand what was the time? Her head was paining so hard that it may be blown out any time. She felt weak and her all over body was paining…..she tried hard to get up from the bed….but couldn't gather necessary energy to lift her body. She fell down on her bed. She breathed faster and longer and tried again. This time she finally managed to go on her feet but tripped and fell on the center table. The sound of the bumping rose louder and invited him into the room hurriedly.

"What happened? Apu are you alright??" Neel cautiously asked.

But she didn't answer him and stared at him hard. Seeing her rude with him he didn't ask her again. As she staggered to the wash room slowly without saying a word he kept looking at her in surprise.

After 2hrs later she was with her Doctor who is eventually her friend and Neel's friend Derek's wife, Meredith.

"Please Mer don't lie. Tell me what you are suspecting….."Aparna pleaded to Meredith.

"But Aps before I tell I have to know something about you and him. Doesn't you two are in love with each other??" Meredith asked confusingly.

"Ah….Mer can we talk about this later please." She told irritatingly, "Please told what have you found after examining me??" She asked cautiously.

"Well….ah..I found that you two ….." Meredith stopped and frowned for a moment as she had thought what to and how to tell everything to Aparna. Then she coughed once to clear her voice and with all her Medical Professionalism and Doctor like attitude she told, "As per my examination….you and Neel was physically intimating extremely. The bruises on your body and other marks on your private parts signify that you two had inter course that's too repeatedly from past 7 days. Now you have to tell me what do you hide from me?? Please I am your best friend…." Meredith's last sentences conveyed her care and concern for Aparna which melted her shield. She cried badly and said, "Yes you are right. He raped me…..from last 7 days I was raped by him and that was too without my knowledge……" she broke down completely. Meredith readily got up from her chair and held her tightly.

"Don't worry. I took your blood and serum for examination. Report will come by from today evening. Then we go to the police." She said determinedly.

"No…." she forbade, "We can't go to police. He is now my husband. And NO…..DON'T THINK THAT I WON'T GO TO THE POLICE AS HE IS MY HUSBAND AND I AM A TYPICAL PATIBRATA WIFE. People won't believe that a husband could rape his wife. And they will question me why I don't inform them before marriage? And it's true before marriage I have had enough time to inform my family, police and his Aunt. I could easily call them when I was alone in the dressing room in the church or in the Hotel room when we just checked in. He was out for his work for a long time. I have had my cell and land phone both. But this was my fault to not to inform anyone. Actually I believed his words that he would not force me to consummate our marriage. I was betrayed."

"But if you let him go he won't get his punishment. He will hurt people again." Meredith tried to convince her.

"I want to confront him first. And Mer if I know him well he will not harm anyone not any other girl. He had gotten what he wanted." She uttered with a rigid face.

Meredith noticed her thoroughly and told, "Well I am expecting the drug traces in your blood and urine. After I get the report I can make out by using which drug he was succeeded to make you unconscious for 7 days."

"Thank you Meredith. You really do everything for me. I don't know how do I pay you…" Aparna expressed her gratitude. Meredith hugged her tightly and whispered, "Please don't do anything wrong . and if you want to go to police I will be with you always." She told.

"No…if he did this to me HE WILL BE PUNISHED BY ME. ONLY BY ME NO ONE ELSE." She said. Meredith looked at her. Her jawline became rigid, her cheeks reddened and her eyes were burning in immense fire of hatred . Meredith couldn't utter a word but looked at her cautiously. She never had seen her so angry and her anger was coming from her hatred. She got scared.

"A P A R N A" Neel shouted at her which broke her thought process. She looked at him reluctantly. He rushed to her, grabbed her wrist and pulled her up.

"I have some important discussions with you. Can you come with me." Neel controlled himself seeing enthusiastic eyes of the park people. "We need to talk can we??" He asked her again keeping his voice indifferent.

Aparna noticed him thoroughly and replied, "Yes Neelabjo. Even I too need to talk with you. And I was waiting for you here."

"But I need a quiet place…" Neel was interrupted as she said, "I know. Okay let's go back to the house." She started walking indifferently without looking at him or asking his permission.
