Requiem: A wonderful introspection...its so true..he somehow got the answers at the end, but some people never get it...or is it that the dawn of realization happens only at the last moment, when they are about to die..

Recoil: A painful conversation...i wonder why they fall apart..

I wanted to ask why the story The Good Wives Club is named like that? I didn't follow the connection..

Sorry for such a late response...I'm having mid-term exam right now..i had done with the reading long back! :-) u know, my laziness overpowers me!😳 But i couldn't resist the questions in my mind.

After few times, she had stopped searching for reasons too. With time, all those things don't matter anymore, she thought...

strange strange world... its unfair that while a majority in this world live through a multitude of flings/affairs/love tales, with a significant ton finding meaning in such existence too (unbelievable :S) ... there are those fewer, who never seem to reach it enough... nothing ever seems like 'this is it... forever...' and ud think they're too good, or think so of themselves... is it a non virtue then, understanding too much, knowing too far, and finding it inside urself impossible to just, live it, let it be... accept?!!!

*sigh*

cheers,
nj

ps: i was wondering about ur theory to have titled this 55 hence... ?

perhaps expecting a morbid piece makes the edge/pain/shock of it a little less... good wives club :) yes, one of ur best 55's i think... i guess, i find greater sense to connection with greater extent of facts revealed(read: simpsons!!, pontiac -really?, marxism... lol! tudors n marx in ONE line!) in a way that tells them and still leaves room to speculate about the remaining periphery facts (read: the bad guy's name, the make up brand she used .. bla!).. this was, for me, aptly full, and intriguingly incomplete...

great job!!

really liked it.

Hello Mridhula,

Thanks for your comment. In a way you are right, but its mostly a cynic's point of view; thinking that nothing good can come out of the world in which we live in.

great one as usual..
good wishes..
sri:-)

Hello Sri,

thanks for your comment. Yeah, it was kind of essay-ish in the beginning and that was the intention. Actually it was nothing related to NCIS. I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds when I saw something like this.
Thanks again.

Hey Aish,

Thank you for your comments. Yeah, when you sign up for a particular profession, there are certain things that one would need to give up; patience, personal time, personal life and sometimes life itself.

How he found his answers? Maybe he didn't. Maybe he did. Maybe he thought he did.

Hmm...true. I am guessing he got some answers, I hope he did!

Recoil: A painful conversation...i wonder why they fall apart..

Maybe many reasons. Maybe none.

She was domestically abused. But she never really talked about it, I guess. One of those women who don't talk about what happens in their houses irrespective of how bad they are treated.

Its okay. :-) Take your time...

A person rarely feels that "this is it. now am gonna stop looking." It rarely happens. Because like us, our choices and ideas are continuously evolving. One would get completely involved in an affair because the person needs to be there. There is this clarity in them that they would find happiness with that particular person only, irrespective of the state in which they are in (single/committed). They would find the thing that they have been searching for in their partners and after a while they might find it not enough. After that, the search restarts.
Acceptance comes in when they find that, yes, this is what I want. Or this is WHY I want. When that itself is not clear, how can one accept?

:-) Sookie

Nope, 55 fiction has strict rules. A story with less than or equal to 55 words only. And I find that very difficult to achieve in my case :-)

Hey Sookie!
Late I am!
Alright! Reading the start of this one suddenly reminded me a saying in Sanskrit - " Yad Bhaavam Tat Bhavati". I know that there is no direct connection to this.. but is it not that... What you sow is what you shall reap? Well, amidst all this growth and fun-frolic life, there lies behind a gory effect of an ever-haunting feel of death. As I told somewhere before.. we get to know the value of anything only when tend to lose it. Sometimes.. we pretend, bargain, fight back but at the end its the END only.
