I am planning to do some tutorial video once I get the necessary downloads to record my steps ...but aside from any tutorial what would really do wonders is just get any clip imported into vegas and PLAY AROUND w/ it.. no boundaries.. no restrictions..and do it w/ the intension of not posting it anywhere..just get a feel for the effects.. but if you have a question w/ how to put in a certain effect and other specific things you can post it here and i can help out :)

^ hmm okay..thanks..but i wanted to make a proper VM..n my friend really needed to cut a video, so i wanted to know that too. will try what u just said..

hey hun, for some stupid reason my cam isn't producing an output file so i can't upload it.. but lemme tell you how to do it in words..its pretty simple:

-once you drag your file to the story line click the spot where you want to split the video into two... drag/click the cursur there so its blinking and then click on the letter 's' on your keyboard ..and thats it!
