Also i had read some scientists even has said that mental illness results from problems with communication between the neurons in the brain..like level of serotonin is lower in individual who have depression..& others have said it is not as simple as one chemical being high or one being low... lots of chemicals are involved.. working both inside and outside of the nerve cells..& so basically it is complex...

Sodium & potassium ion are very very crucial ...

Also I am glad that you are exploring them now....smiley36....very interesting...

@Bold - not just chemicals but it's actually a multi factor thing. Many factors are taken into account including genetic predisposition, social setting, cognitive functioning, and neuro-hormonal imbalances.

But yes it is true that low levels of serotonin accounts for depression and high levels of the same can be seen in anxiety disorder patients. Hence we often give SSRI for depression to stop reuptake of the neurotransmitter. As for dopamine, we do see high levels of dopamine in Schizophrenia patient but wouldn't say one can simply get schizophrenia because of high dopamine. It really depends on many factors.

But yes, it's so interesting to see how at the end of the day all the things are so interconnected. Like you said with the cooking. People who cook know how much to heat oil, how much ingredients to add, when to add to cook the dish perfectly, anything plus and minus would make it a wrec. Yet no one would thing it's actually chemistry experiment happening right there. smiley36

I loved your views on your subject honestly. I thoroughly enjoy intellectual discussions. Thank you for sharing so much!!

Yes..

Thank you for these information..yes these things are so interconnected that sometimes it just baffles you.As they say science and spiritual are interlinked...the more you study science & understand the complexities of everything the more you start believing in a power higher than us.

Also your questions are responsible for such a discussion that we are having right now...

Yes... Cooking requires lots of precision & patience....&

You too are a very good chemist..smiley36

Last round of big questions. You told me you are interested in listening to songs, writing stories, and you like to watch people perform dance. So usse related questions for you.

1. What type of music do you enjoy listening to the most, and why?

I am grown up listening to old hindi songs.so those songs have that nostalgic value for me. Songs of golden era were soo amazing in terms of lyrics and composition & on the top of that singing by incredible natural artists

2. Can you share a song that always uplifts your mood, and what is it about that song that resonates with you?

I have already told you about "Ae Zindagi gale Laga le" Apart from that the song "Abhi mujhme kahin" always uplifts my mood...

This song stands for hope, for the emotion of coming out of the shackles of desolation.. despair..It is such a dynamically composed song that it has layers & Sonu Nigam has sung it with soo much emotions that he melts our heart with every low note & then tears them apart with the high notes.

3. Do you have a favorite genre of dance to watch, and if so, what is it about that style of dance that captivates you?

I love watching "Kathak" because simply I am grown up watching Hindi movies & it has mostly followed Kathak dance...As I have said I was mesmerized by "pyar Kiya toh Darna kya" which only enhanced by Madhuri's "kahe ched" and "maar daala"...

The grace, the intricate footwork, beautiful handmoments(mudra), expressions which are enough to excite the audience..& those incredible Chakkar...just beautiful..

The fact you can actually comfortably learn it at any age as it doesn't demand the extreme flexibility of most other forms..

I also love watching ice dancing due to the focus , determination it teaches us...the strength, trust and chemistry..it exudes..& thrill & energy I feel in my every cell is incredible...

4. How does music or dance inspire your creative writing process?

Music and dance takes me to a new world, it triggeres past memories or strong emotions..it uplifts your mood or it can send you into gloominess... All you need is the correct song according to the mood...it helps you in imagination & focus...once you get into the moodv& you have a idea then words just flow..

5. Can you recall a specific song or piece of music that has inspired a story or character in your fiction writing?

Recently a NeiVika SS ka theme was inspired by the theme & visual of "Agar tum saath ho"..I had tried to capture the pain, longingness, passion & raw display of emotion..

6. What do you think is the connection between music, dance, and storytelling in various cultures around the world?

In India it is a part of our culture...we have been telling stories through music and dance.."Kathak" toh is derived from the word Katha.. similarly all classical dances like Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi,Mohiniattam tells stories from India's epics including various spellbinding moments like spins, dipping, intricate footworks, hand gestures, eye movements & facial expressions to create the spectacle..

Western pe they mostly have one classical dance form i.e ballet..there also dancers use precise, graceful moves to interpret the music & convey the emotion behind a story that they are telling

7. Do you have a favorite musician, dancer, or choreographer whose work you admire? What draws you to their artistry?

Definitely Michael Jackson...He is one of the greatest talent ever graced the earth.. song writing, singing, dancing everything.. His creativity has no bounds..so many creative & cool moves he has given to the world...his music videos are almost like short films with deep message..he used his popularity & this medium as a tool to make impact..& raise his voice through his music for things he believed in...

As a performer he is charismatic..the more you see his stage performance on YouTube you realise how charismatic he was..he narrates his screen play where he comes out of nowhere infront of the audience then gradually draws you..you are in under his spell..the kind of reaction he used to evoke from the audience is unbelievable...on stage he connects with the divine & it shows...

He broke the racial barriers...In a time where there is no internet..he was still viral.. people from all around the world knew him..

8. How do you discover new music or dance performances to explore?

Mostly from YouTube...I subscribe my favourite artists's channel so that I get notifications..then in the era of social media it is actually not difficult to find them.

9. Are there any particular themes or emotions that you find yourself drawn to in both music and fiction writing?

I am drawn to the theme of longingness..where you pine for something...or you are just soo dipped in a love that you refuse to give up on that relationship be it with a person or life..

Yeah...call me sadist...smiley37

Also songs of pure joy...where you just celebrate the love with nature & life...

10. Can you describe a memorable experience attending a live music concert or dance performance?

Noo.. I have not had an opportunity as I want to start with a Sonu Nigam music concert...but nahi hua abhi tak..

Dance me in our college annual competition..a girl came to stage..such a soft petite looking girl.with a sweet smile. I thought she would do some cute bollywood number..but suddenly that smile turned into an expression full of rage..music began & she did Shiv Tandav.. Ohh..we all had goosebumps... movements, expression & she was spitting fire ...she also included some acrobatics. We all started with loud cheers but byhe end we were too shocked to even move..one of the best live performance I have ever seen..

11. How does music or dance influence your mood and emotions?

Similar way as it does to almost everyone..we all have that one song that brings tears to our eyes..a song that awakens you, a song that pushes you to rise above...songs that inspire us...I mean there is a reason why in Indian cinema songs & their placement are soo important because they set the audience in the mood they want for their further storytelling...

Same with me with dance too...I am the happiest when I dance..all my struggle & worries cease to exist...but there are times while dancing on certain tracks just makes me gloomy when I need to be..some tracks just energizes you so much that you feel like you can conquer the world.

12. What role does rhythm and pacing play in both music and storytelling for you?

In India, specially Indian movies..we have this amazingly unique thing called interval that has surprised filmmakers of West always...but that's how we take the rhymic pattern...it starts from low level..when it establishes the set up..then it goes up,then down..then up..down & reaches highest point & then bamm...it stops, interval.breaks the pattern.we are left in shock, surprise , excitement & with curiosity come back to check..then we start from that highest point, then down, up & reaches highest ever point in preclimax only for it to subside for things to resolve in the end...there will be plot twists in between to break the pattern & surprise then takes us in new direction..

Same with most songs...it goes up then down then up... suddenly some other surprising elements..like a song "Roshni se bhare bhare", there after the line"shayad kisi Nadiya mein behta hua tu mile"..then it introduces a surprising arrangements then it stops with 1,2 sec of silence...

Or Ar Rahman uses this pattern soo much..

13. Do you find that certain types of music or dance styles inspire different genres or tones in your fiction writing?

Yes...as I have said about songs earlier..if I see a beautifully graceful classical dance or contemporary act ,i feel calm,at peace...if i see a style like rumba or any ballroom ,then my imagination of a romantic scene also enhances... classical dance with roudra raas...fills me with the dark mood required to write a angry angst scene..watching.forms like hip-hop,disco or tap or break simply energizes me to go & complete it..

14. Have you ever incorporated elements of music or dance directly into your fiction writing? If so, how did it enhance the narrative?

Ha ha..I do it all the time.none of my story is complete or can be completed without a dance number...it is inseparable part of my writing..

I believe the passion & emotions that song with a correct lyrics adds to my story I don't think I can convey it with thousand of words...100 dialogues can't express what a song and their lyrics and a passionate dance does...it sets the mood..

15. How do you balance consuming music and dance as a form of entertainment versus using them as sources of creative inspiration?

I don't need to balance... I keep my mind open... whenever I listen to song or watch a good dance performance I am transported into the world that I have created inside my head & imagine certain scenarios around them...I keep it there & use it whenever I feel like I need them right now in my writings..

16. How does a particular song or dance performance influence the mood or atmosphere in your fiction writing?

Like if I am writing a melancholic scene, I will put on dark song like "Awarapan..banjarapan"...If I need to write something that deals with heartbreak & willingness to hold on before separation, then "Lag Jaa gale" is a go to..

If I need to write the beauty of a girl , then Madhubala ji in "pyaar Kiya toh Darna kya"..

If I simply need energy then any Michael Jackson stage performance is enough..

These are examples of how songs/dance influence the mood

17. Are there any specific songs or dance routines that evoke strong memories or nostalgia for you? What are those memories?

There is this song called " rangilo maaro dholna..." that I think we all have performed in our childhood...those beats, lyrics ,visuals ,steps those lyrics...it evokes strong nostalgia..

My parents used to make me perform on "I love my India" song before relatives..I used to do them soo unabashedly...I didn't care how good or bad they were..

In school me & my friend had performed on "Vande maataram" by Ar Rahman..we got praises & performed it on various multiple occasions...

So this song is special..

18. How do you think technology has influenced the way we experience and create music, dance, and fiction writing?

Music: Before we were restricted to traditional instruments & recording techniques...now entire song can be created on computer & sounds can be manipulated in ways that we had never thought of. Synthesizers to create unique sound & edit the existing with programs like auto tune.. virtual instruments & samples are adding depth & texture.. accessibility has increased

But sometimes music directors get too excited & over use them.. which hinders the experience of a listener by hampering the smoothness. Also some professional singers are in the market who are not at all skilled ..

Dance: Technology has contributed for the advanced cinematography..& enables dynamic camera movement. It gives choreographer the Liberty to plane advanced choreography along with incorporation of special effects..broader accessibility & collaboration has become much easier...

But sometimes steps look too technical, dance looks like acrobatic...grace & enjoyment with abandon gets lost sometimes..

Writing: Accessibility has increased with Ebook, audiobook, also interactive & multimedia reading experience is rampant..but i believe it also makes the attention span shorter...

For writers editing and writing are easier with word processing software & digital collaboration tools...new avenues for self publishing, blogging..but sometimes writers are constantly under pressure to deliver by producing quantity over quality.. sometimes...

19. When seeking creative inspiration, do you have any specific rituals or routines involving music, dance, or both?

One thing I do is making a playlist that fits the project I am working on.. before starting to write the story,I will start making a playlist.i will listen to them & grove on them if possible.it makes me more involved in the story & put me in the mood necessary for my story..

20. Whaat significance does creative arts hold in your life and why?

Creative arts gives me a voice to express my thoughts, emotion & experience...it makes room for innovation...new ideas..It gives a strange kind of solace, yes it sometime heals the wound I did not know existed..it is cathartic... spiritual..

Ho Gaya...

Thank you again...smiley27

Fav moment in football history? I don't think anything can beat that visual of Messi with world cup... trophy looked beautiful bcz it found the most able hand to hold it..

3 most favourite personalities and the learnings you get from them

There are sooo many...but any 3..ok.

1: Biju Patnaik: Coming from Odisha.. literally grown up hearing his stories..What you learn from him..don't chase power or fame...keep a clean intention., Work with a vision..keep complete commitment towards the cause..when get a chance go all out...fame & power will eventually chase

You can never understand ...so my idea is to look for a candidate who understands the issues the way I understand them.. looking at the policies in manifesto..then doing own share of research regarding past records... policy is important..

What is the most important issue Youth is facing today?

Long answer ..alertsmiley37

Youth today is definitely facing more pressure of performance..& then with acess to 24*7 internet there is influx of too much information...soo much unnecessary information.. causing distraction & confusion..there is insecurities due to social media influence..& gap between parents and youth is soo much that no one knows how to deal with others..so most of the Youth is getting mentally sick..

There is definitely a need for emphasis spiritual education & mental health..

Favourite Shinchan movie The secret of Buri buri kingdom- thrilling & so cute to see Shinchan with his look alike..

Also special mention...Villain aur Dulhan : Here Shinchan's fiance from future comes to take the five year old Shinchan to solve a problem..I know it is your favourite as well..
