Nothing to be detailed about that thread....that show had one of the worst storylines about marital r*** and forum members hated it , that's all

I have heard a lot about this serial from my North Indian friends and Instagram (ofc) ... It was crappy and all...

Tbh,this is the reason my mum and granny(and me too) have never watched Hindi TV until a last few years... (Used to watch a few Hindi ones on DD long back they say, but now mostly it is Sony and Sab )... Even Marathi had a similar kinda show too they said.. The Marathi one beat this ones record..

My granny also told me that there's another show called Kahani Ghar Wali or something by EK that is getting remade into Marathi...

Thank God I was a baby when they aired such crap...

I remember reading a thread where one of the girls said that if the actor playing Ansh did all that to her she would be very happy.

I was furious and disgusted honestly.

If TV shows want to show heinous crimes, it's their responsibility to ensure it doesn't give out a wrong message. And I agree with people in the thread, when the USP of Kyuki was a family show, why was the need to bring out all sorts of things crap? To phir wahi show banate, people would sit prepared for it na.

Ekta's shows brought regression in TV. Before this K-serial era, shows were actually progressive. Mostly about middle-class people, ambitions of men and women, and also educational programmes. After her, it became the repeat "Saas-Bahu" kahani where the ML is spineless and the FL is voiceless.

The DD era shows were actually better

Yes ....

Ekta Kapoor's post 2000 shows brought regression to ITv... before that shows in 90s were sooo progressive...It highlighted various issues ....true to human nature... conflicts..emotions,clashes were soo real, subtle & internal...They were feel good show...

Plus women in those shows were sooo progressive, they were not overly Mahaan..they had spine...they were independent minded... their priorities were clear... strong, straight forward, confident yet they were good humans..accepted their mistake..male leads were much better..

Ekta Kapoor's shows made ITv a profit making business...rinse repeat...art & craft took a back seat...

Sad...

We as an audience are lucky to be watching a show like Vanshaj smiley28 smiley42

This storyline might have been controversial, but I really liked this phase, since she dared to show this at a time when marital ra*e wasn't even considered a thing. It was taken like something that is normal

Even two of her previous shows Kutumbh and Koi Dil Me hai had this track, in both she showed the ML ra**ing his wife and then apologizing when FL eventually forgives

I was really afraid that she will take same route here, but happily she didn't, not just that Ansh was not forgiven but they showed the lifelong scar Nandani got due to it. She feared Ansh even after he was dead, even when 20 years had passed

Even Bhoomi was shown the shock and distress when she realized she was a r**e child (despite her parents be officially married then)

This track IMO was handled very maturely

That was a horrible comment, we saw this. Although in reality, Gauri had her inhibitions in doing that scene with Akashdeep(Ansh actor), so his scenes were taken separately, in reality Hiten (her husband) did that scene with her..

Agreed with everything you said, she brought the regressive era on TV, but to be honest even her shows had women with more spine than today's FL (again as I always say, Vanshaj is an exception)

But didn't some character get married to Ansh's lookalike in this show?

Bhoomi was Ansh and Nandani's daughter (conceived during this r**e)

They got to know about it after Ansh was killed and Tulsi's case was going on. Nandani wanted to abort this child, but her life was in danger, she still wanted to take chance, since she didn't want anything to do with Ansh, but Karan got to know about it and despite being sad at Nandani's pregnancy, stopped Nandani from getting an abortion and promised her that he would love this child as his own.

It was during the birth of this child that Nandani went to coma and then Karan married Tanya so that she can take care of Bhoomi (worst and most stupid decision if you ask me)

Initially Karan disliked her since he thought first Ansh spoiled Nandani's life and then his daughter took her to deathbed, but eventually he started loving Bhoomi and loved her more than his biological son.

When Bhoomi grew up and got to know that Ansh was his dad and Nandani loved Karan while still being married to Ansh, she started hating Nandani, thinking first she wasn't loyal in her marriage and now she is trying to wreck Tanya and Karan's marriage

Later she got to know the entire story about her being the r**e child and then she changed for good. Was in trauma knowing she was a r**e child

Yes Krishna Tulsi, a girl Tusli had adopted and raised as her daughter was married to Ansh' son Eklavya who was his lookalike. He too was evil like hos father (started as good but later became evil, opposite to Bhhomi who started as evil but later became good), but his character was never explored much, he became a side character

He married another woman when his wife was in a coma? That is so stupid
