I don't think he will be the villian but may be mashree will be the villian+ may be someone who will make a suprise entry as the villian like someone in relation at later stage of the show.

TBH, unlike many people in the thread, I feel, it's Gargi, her husband and DJ and who are the villains. ( I can be wrong though). But my reason is that the production team has already made it clear that it's modern day Mahabharat. And in Mahabharat, it was always clear who was the villain (Shakuni , Kauravas ). There was no hidden villain there. Yuvika's fight is with them openly ( though she would get to know later about the family members behind her father's fake scandal story) like Arjun's fight with Kauravas was. It was very open and clear. DB for me doesn't seem to be villain but yeah like Bhishma, he might be siding with DJ and family in a helpless state bound by their 'parampara'. But I don't think, he will turn out to be evil. Let's see though!!

Maybe he has a secret family to whom he wants to pass on the buisness....i know this is far fetched since his character is based on Bhishma and DJ and his parents are the villans but it's fun to think about stuff like this...

Yes these two are potential candidate for villain as Prem is always preferred over them by both DB and maashree.

But what will Dhanraj get out by framing his family

I said DB partially because his character till now is very secondary. I don't think they would have hire Puneet Issar for such a role

Unless they wanted to play on Mahabharata nostalgia
