CHAPTER 9 : DECISIONS :
Part 1 : Troubling times...
"Looks like someone forgot his dad completely!" joked Veer as soon as his son called him up. "Papa, nothing like that! I just came to this place..its located in such a remote place..it was so difficult to get here! And travelling was so difficult, im so tired..."said Yuvi."Its ok beta I was just joking!..Acha, tell me..how are things going on? Is it comfortable to stay there?" Yuvi knew what exactly Veer meant and said.."yes papa..its quite difficult to see Priya but im trying to manage..she wants everything to be smooth especially since she's getting married next month, and I dont want to spoil her dreams. There's no point in inflicting our pain over someone who's happy..its you who has taught me this na papa?" Veer knew how much of effort his son was taking to talk normally and said, "Just remember one thing son. When something we love goes away from us, it means that god is giving us something even more wonderful in return. Maybe Priya was never your true love. Maybe someone else is born for you and maybe is even thinking about right now." Yuvi always felt better when he spoke to his dad and he said "Hope you're right papa." Veer asked, "Hows this orphanage son? And where is it exactly located? Who's running it?" for which Yuvi said, "I really have no clue where this place is papa..I just know that we're in Kolkatta somewhere. And mind you, no one will call this place an orphanage once they've seen it. Its such a beautiful place and the kids are so lovable! There is one lady who runs this place along with few helpers...all of them call her Tapasya maa...and I dont know why papa..seeing her makes me feel so relaxed. She seems to be such a nice person.." "Papa, are you there?" he asked, since his papa became quiet. "Beta, what is the name of that lady? I didn't hear you properly" said Veer in an extremely confused tone. "Tapasya" said Yuvi and Veer said, "Oh okay.." in a very restless tone. Yuvi asked, "What happened papa?" for which Veer said, "Nothing son..I got another call..that's why I couldn't hear you properly.."Yuvi suddenly remembered why he had called and said " Oh and papa, I've some very important thing which I want you to do for me. My project for the final semester is still in my college. My friend is not feeling well and I don't think he'll be able to take it back. And if the sheets are left in the college, they might get lost. So would you send someone to get those sheets for me?" and Veer said "I've actually been thinking about making a visit to your college..I've to give the annual donation remember? So il go there tomorrow and get your sheets as well...and il go around asking everyone if my son is well behaved or not" Veer jokingly said, and Yuvi replied "Haha ok papa..all the best! If you find one person who tells something wrong about me, then you win" and Veer said, "Wow so much confidence my son has! Lets see..there has to be atleast one person who would have something to complain about you..." Yuvi said, "Like I said, all the best for you to find that one person papa..! Ok ive to go now...everyone's getting settled for dinner..! You too have your dinner, il talk to you tomorrow! Goodnight papa!" and Veer said "Alright son, take care, goodnight!" and both of them moved on to have their dinner...
Yuvi left his phone on the table with a smile and thought.."Haha, papa thinks he can find someone who can complain about me! Typical Veer Singh Bundela thoughts! Lets see.." and left..
"Tapasya"...the name left him feeling very uncomfortable. It was as though he was reminded of something he never wanted to be reminded of. "What is wrong with me?" thought Veer as he sat down to have dinner. He never felt like this before..he felt connected to that name...and yet he didn't remember a thing...and an important call from his office made him forget about the mysterious lady and her name for a while..
Part 2 : Questions...
"Tell maa, please tell me! Atleast tell me about my papa..how he was" asked Meethi in a tone that broke Ichcha's heart. Ichcha wanted to tell every single detail about her father to Meethi, she wanted Meethi to know what a wonderful, loving man her father was..and yet she couldn't tell anything. "How will I? Or rather, what will I tell her?" thought Ichcha. "Please god, save me for this one time until I think of a good story to convince Meethi about her dad." thought Ichcha..and as though god had listened to her prayers, Meethi's phone started ringing. "One sec maa.." said Meethi and left the room to get her phone. Meethi's best friend Nitya had called her up. "Hey Nitya..what's up?" asked Meethi for which Nitya said in a very excited voice.."Meethi..I just got a brilliant idea for your internship. Remember how you didn't want to interview normal people and you wanted to interview successful businessmen?" Meethi said "Yes Nitya, im taking journalism very seriously. Only if my internship goes on well, I can get a good job. But there are no new businessmen here. Everyone knows these people very well. What's the point in interviewing the known ones?" for which Nitya said, "Meethi you've just got a wonderful opportunity. One of my relatives who works in Rathore Industries just told me that the king of the industry Mr.Rathore himself has come down to India for some business purpose. Infact he's inaugurating his new company and no one knows about his visit. So if you get to interview him soon, it'll be a great boost to your career." Meethi was so excited on listening to this.."Wow Nitya thank you sooo much! Love you!! Il get ready in a minute and try to get hold of someone influential so that I can interview the great man himself! Thank you girl!! Ok im leaving now...meet you tomorrow!! Bye!!!" for which Nitya said, "All the best! Bye.."...Meethi ran to her mother's room and said.."Maa see how lucky you are for me! I was desperately searching for the right person to interview for so many weeks..and I finally got the right person! He's such a big industrialist! Maa..i've to leave immediately so that I can somehow interview him..il come back soon and talk to you ok?' for which Ichcha said."Sure beta, all the best! Everything will go on well, don't worry.." Both of smiled at each other, and Meethi couldn't resist herself. She ran towards her mother like a little child and hugged her tightly. "I love you maa.." she said and went happily.
Ichca again felt the tears on her eyes as she saw her daughter running around happily. "Indeed im blessed" she thought with a smile...
Part 3 : Memories...(for the Veecha and Rasya fans đ)
She closed her eyes and tried to revive every feeling..."Ichcha.." the way he called her name..the way he held her hand..the way he hugged her..the way they trusted each other..and more than everything, the way they truly loved each other. Ichcha felt the power of her love for Veer, even now he was blended in her soul..she remembered him with every breath she took and yet the pain came to attack her with its brute force. Veer would never remember her. He would never know that there was a woman who loved him, cared for him and that she would do anything to be with him. "He will never know.." she thought with a pang.
Far far away there was another woman who was lost in similar thoughts. She looked up at the moon with a smile on her face and tears on her eyes. "Tapasya Tapasya Tapasya" that was the only name which the man would utter and he taught her what was love, what was it to truly love each other, what was it to have a family and what was it to trust each other. She remembered every single beautiful moment between them..the way he always knew that she was possessive, the way he kept convincing her that she was the only one he loved...and desperately she wished she could go and fall in his arms and stay there forever. All these years had never dimmed her love for him, rather, they had only increased it. Like always, she looked up at the moon and prayed that wherever he was, he had to be safe and good...and left to entertain her guests and take care of her kids...
In another corner, a man was tossing and turning in his sleep. He had flashes of something...he didn't know if he was dreaming or if it was real...a person calling out to him...a very faint sound..."Veer" the voice said..and Veer could feel goosebumps..even in his sleep. He woke up with a jerk. He thought of what Mai said to him once...that if someone woke up from their sleep suddenly, it meant that someone was thinking about them very deeply. In a confused manner, he tried to think about that voice, but sadly he could not remember a thing. As always, it came for a moment and it vanished in a moment as well. "Why is this happening to me?" thought a frustrated Veer and tried to go back to sleep...but he knew he could not sleep anymore. The voice would come back, he thought..or rather..he stayed awake so that he could hear that beautiful voice calling out to him..like an angel...and slowly he dozed off...
Clutching one pillow tightly over his head, Raghu desperately tried to shut his mind from thinking about her and tried to sleep..but as always..he failed. She was the only one whom he always lost to. And he lost to her memories as well. As always he finally allowed her images to come to his mind and hurt him again. Her eyes, the way she spoke...the way she walked..everything came back to him. 19 years and still he could not forget a thing about her. He himself was surprised at the intensity of his love for her. He wished he could take her into his arms and hold her there forever. But his mind focused back to the bitter reality and soon he too dozed off with the pillow still over his head...her eyes..he thought finally as he drifted off to sleep...

What will Veer see as soon he goes to Yuvi's college? How will Meethi's attempt of interviewing Mr. Rathore turn out? Will she be successful or will she stopped by Vishnu's loyalty for his boss? Will Vishnu and Meethi have a bitter face off? When will this ordeal of four people who are desperate to get back to their soulmates end? Who will help them end it?
