CHAPTER 13 : NEW RELATIONSHIPS :
Part 1 : Anger and Respect :
"Wait!" said Veer as he made an attempt to catch up with Mukta. But either she really didn't hear him or she wished to ignore him. "Mukta..wait!" he shouted for which Mukta stopped on her tracks. Her mind was completely fixated on another problem that had cropped up and she turned to look at Veer. She remembered him..."Yuvraj's dad" she thought with anger. Yet she stopped and Veer approached her. "Yes?" asked Mukta for which Veer held his hand out and said "I'm Veer Singh Bundela" for which Mukta remained impassive yet Veer saw a flicker of recognition cross her face. "So this is the big industrialist..no wonder his son is so haughty" she thought.
"What can I do for you sir?" asked Mukta and Veer sensed her impatience and anger. "I'm here on an official purpose Mukta..since I've studied in this college and I know of its reputation, every year I choose some select final year students with the help of the principal for articleship in my company. I know that this college works only half a day for final years and you can join as a part time assistant. If you're competent then you can directly get recrutied in my office" said Veer with a smile. Mukta remembered his principal's words this morning.."Mukta you're a model student, a topper and I sincerely wish for a bright future in your life...and I hope you really go for the training in Mr.Veer's office and get a great job to prove your talent there." But Mukta had her own doubts. His son had cheated, made her lose in something she desired with all her heart and her ego stopped her accepting Veer's proposal. Yet she thought of her future. It was a big step in her career. After two minutes she made her decision. "Yes sir, the principal had already informed me about this. And i'm humbled at the fact that you yourself approached me offered this job. I'll accept it sir. just tell me when I can join" said Mukta with a small smile. Veer grinned and said "But there's a condition!" for which Mukta asked "Condition?" and Veer said, "Yes, only if you shake hands with me and tell me what your problem with my son is, I will admit you" said Veer with a wink. "I've always loved the coffee in this college..why don't you join me for a cup and let me know what happened?" suggested Veer for which Mukta said "Yes sir, just a minute I'll give these forms in the principal's office." Veer smiled and said "Sure I'll wait in the cafeteria" and walked away. Mukta too walked towards the principal's office.
"She definitely is dedicated and smart..she would be a great asset to my company...wonder what her problem with Yuvi is" thought Veer..
"He's so humble and sweet..and his son...the total opposite.." thought Mukta...
Part 2 : Confusion and Understanding :
The cabin door opened with a resounding BANG and Vishnu jerked up with shock which sent his papers flying everywhere. And the scene before him shocked him even more. "My boss in my cabin?!" thought a confused Vishnu. He had never seen Raghu look so confused...so out of place. "Sir, is there any problem?" asked Vishnu for which Raghu said "Vishnu don't ask/say anything, just come for a ride with me, right now" said Raghu for which Vishnu hesitated and said "But sir..this project.." "When I say right now, right now Mr.Kashyap" said Raghu and left without another word. Vishnu was totally bewildered and yet he thought it was better to listen to Raghu and immediately followed him.
Once they were in the car Vishnu was a little frightened because his boss was driving at breakneck speed and he felt that Raghu was a bit incoherent as well. After a few minutes Vishnu noticed a picture in his boss' car..a picture of a beautiful woman who was smiling. "Who's this boss?" asked Vishnu for which Raghu said "Not someone who's important to know" with a snap. Yet Vishnu couldn't help but notice the way his boss' expression changed when he said those words. It was angry..yet with a trace of sadness. As he was dwelling on these thoughts Raghu stopped the car and Vishnu saw that they were beside an old bridge and were surrounded by none.
"Ok Vishnu..about this girl...your fiancee.." started Raghu for which Vishnu immeadiately fumed up. "Sir..please don't..that girl..." and Raghu was surprised. He never saw Vishnu lose his cool before. "Why..what's the matter?" asked Raghu for whch Vishnu said "I don't even know that girl sir! She's just one of those stupid reporters who wanted to interview you! Someone must have leaked out the information that you were here and she came to interview you! When the guard didn't allow her in, she built up some crackpot story about being my fiancee..and well..." he finished with disgust. But he noticed that his boss was upset about it!
"But sir..you didn't want to be interviewed..right?" asked VIshnu for which Raghu said "Yes Vishnu but I'm ready to make exceptions.." which left Vishnu feeling very confused. Suddenly Raghu became all businesslike. "Now do the staff know that this girl has lied?" for which Vishnu said "No sir..once I get back I'Il let them know.." and Raghu said "You will do no such thing Mr.Kashyap! Maintain this story..and one more thing, I want this girl to interview me" which left Vishnu totally shocked. "I want you to find this girl and permit her to interview me" and Vishnu could do nothing but just nod his head in agreement. Raghu was silent for a while said "Ok Mr.Kashyap lets get back to office" and Vishnu too got up without any questions. As they were approaching the office Vishnu asked.."Sir do you know that girl personally? Why are you telling to me continue with my act?" for which Raghu said with a small smile "Ask me no questions and I will tell no lies Mr.Kashyap" "And yes, I except you to give me 100% support and I trust you so this will be only between us. I hope you don't disappoint me" and left without another word to his cabin. Vishnu, totally utterly clueless walked towards his cabin and started thinking about his new mission with a hand on his forehead...
Part 3 : Affection - New affection :
"Hahahahaha.." laughed Tapasya uncontrollably. Yuvraj was really amusing. Yuvraj wanted to see this place even more and so Tapasya and Yuvi went for a walk. He was really taken up by the surroundings and he was glad to be accompanied by Tapasya ma. He was still uncomfortable about the words he had spoken earlier and tried to make up for it by making her laugh at every opportunity he got. But she seemed to really enjoy his company and didn't have a trace of anger on her face. "So..Yuvi..I'm sure that not just the beauty of this place would've made you walk alone..but something else is bothering you too..." said Tapasya for which Yuvi pointed out to a bench in a corner and said "Lets sit and talk ma.." They sat on the bench and both of them were silent for a while, peaceful and were admiring the beauty of the nature surrounding them. Then Yuvi broke the silence by asking "What do you think about love?" for which Tapasya, very surprisingly laughed again. "Why such a reaction ma?" asked Yuvi for which Tapasya said.."My version of love has two parts Yuvi..tell me which one you want to know" and Yuvi said "Tell me the one which is less painful" with a sad smile. Tapasya smiled and said "Every love has pain Yuvraj..with love comes pain..surely you know that?" and before Yuvi could respond, she continued.."There was this girl..my friend...a young one...beautiful, carefree without a trace of any worry, pampered by everyone surrounding her and life was almost perfect. She always got what she wanted and she felt that it was her right to get what she wanted. But there was one thing that she was never able to get. Love. She tried her best, fought like a crazy woman, yet she couldn't. She loved a man like a mad woman and was literally ready to do anything for him but she was frustrated by the fact that nothing she did ever got a place in the man's heart for her. Had she realised a simple thing, she would've never suffered so much. She should've realised that the man had already given place to another woman and she could never replace that place. But she didn't. Her love for him, her ego refused to accept it. She drove him crazy and drove herself and everyone around her crazy as well. Then like a ray of light, like new hope, a new man entered her life." Yuvraj saw her expression change, but didn't say anything and willed her to continue. Tapasya continued.."She disregarded him completely in the begining..thought that he was just infatuated with her. But later she committed a big sin and yet he accepted her. He took her under his wing, understood her, forgave her for everything and of all...gave her what she wanted, what she desired always...love. He loved her with passion, genuine affection and care. He taught her what it is to love and she responded. But cruelly, fate separated them, rather, the choices the woman made in the past cast a bad shadow over him and herself and she chose to move away..to remove the bad light dwelling upon them." Tapasya wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and said " She learnt what love is...she learnt that love is to accept people for who they are..to care for them..to expect nothing in return.." with a smile. Yuvi was stunned at Tapasya ma's story. He wasn't stupid enough to believe that it was her friend's story..he knew it was her own story.
Both of them were lost in their thoughts...
Tapasya of her past.."how he loved me"..she thought..
Yuvi of his present..of the woman sitting beside him.."what could've happened that affected her so much? Is that why she has come here?" he thought..as both of them were thinking..the sun was setting behind them and the entire scene was picture perfect..anyone would've thought..a mother and her son sharing bittersweet memories in a beautiful environment..it was a beautiful moment.

How will Veer and Mukta's relationship develop? Will she be able to overcome her hatred for Yuvi or will it increase? What will Vishnu do to get the angry Meethi back in his office?
