Nandish Sandhu

Nandish Sandhu also known as Veer of 'Uttaran' is suffering from Acrophobia, but frankly speaking he is not alone in the world suffering from Phobias, there are many such people who undergo through such problems. Acrophobia is a disorder in which a person fears from heights. They fear to fall down from a place at a height and thus avoid any small places to stand on.

When asked about his fear of heights, Nandish says "It is not exactly the height that I am afraid of. I have no trouble flying in airplanes, I feel safe in airplanes because my mind tells me there is no way I could fall out, as it is well sealed. It's not being on high altitudes that I find scary."

"But I fear being in places where I feel, I can fall on sharp rocks or buildings and places where I can't easily tell which is the horizontal direction, at those places, I am already not sure if I am standing straight or I am tilting." adds Nandish.

What places it could be? "I am talking about mountaintops, towers, bridges, balconies. There are many times even when I am lying on my bed and I have this feeling that I am falling," informs Nandish.

Nandish, it is better you shoot at the plains instead of Mountains!

Gaurav Chopra

The show 'Uttaran' has had a new entry played by the popular actor Gaurav Chopra and he is playing the role of Virendra Pratap Rathore, who is a merciless business tycoon. However, him taking Tapasya's side wouldn't help much, since Sid is in the custody of the cops and will soon reveal it all.

It is said that the cops will also arrest Tapasya on a charge of attempted murder of Ichcha. Sid tells the police about her involvement murder. However, right before this takes place, Gaurav will try his best to help her in every possible ways. She however will attempt to avoid him and stay far away from and this is where her attitude would make him all the more curious about her.

Gaurav Chopra says that he plays a new character which exhibits great strength and also a certain sense of authority. However, Tapasya is extremely arrogant and in the upcoming episodes the two will clash.

Virendra will find Tapasya very interesting as he had never met anyone like her before. She becomes the first person to have challenged his authoritarian ways.

Rashmi Desai who plays Tapasya, however she remained unavailable for comment.

Veer and Ichcha to get married..?
Buzz up!

Colors leading show Uttaran has seen some interesting facts following Tapu getting exposed by Veer in her role of killing Vansh.

Discuss here

This fact has made Tapasya homeless. There is buzz that both the families will agree to Ichcha remarrying Veer, although Tapu might be pregnant with Veers child

An Indya source tells us, "After Tapu being exposed, there will be high drama in store in the coming months. Both families will then agree to get Veer and Ichcha married again. When everyone is about to settle, Tapasya returns to shock Veer and Ichcha."

When we spoke to Veer, he said, "It's too early to say that I will marry Ichcha. Both families are still in shock to know Tapasya's role in killing Vansh."

Ichcha said, "I am here to help Vansh's mother who is shattered. I have no clue about what is going to happen."

Tapasya didn't revert back to our calls.

So to know what will happen in the forthcoming track, don't forget to watch
Uttaran every Monday to Friday at 10 pm only on Colors.

Today is Raksha Bandhan but most of our TV stars are so busy with their shoots that they hardly have time to spend with their sisters. We spoke to a few to know what Raksha Bandhan means to them.

Nandish Sandhu- For me Raksha Bandhan is a pious festival. I do not have real sister but have many cousin sisters for whom I am the most loved 'bhaiya'. Since my entire family is in Dholpur I do not get time to visit them on festivals, due to work. But whenever I go back home I make sure I ask my sisters for their wish list for their gifts and try to fulfill it to the most. This is Raksha Bandhan for me.
Tina Dutta Raksha Bandhan used to be one of the occasions I would wait for. Since I am here in Mumbai shooting for Uttaran, I will miss tying Rakhi and getting gifts that my brother usually floods me with. I adore my bro and have already couriered a Rakhi to him in Kolkata. While he has sent me loads of gifts, half of which I am yet to unpack! All in all it brings back great memories that are cherished forever.

If the gruelling working hours of television actors don't take a toll on them, it is the spare time that they have to themselves that proves punishing!

Take the case of Rashmi Desai, who recently thought she would make the most of some free time she had on her hands, to do what most women her age love doing — shop! "I'm a self-confessed shopaholic. The past two months had been really hectic for me, so a few days back when I got a chance to visit a mall and shop for myself, I jumped at it," she says. However, the actress got a sudden spell of giddiness and fainted in a shop in the mall, much to the dismay of onlookers, who at first didn't recognise the actress.

"When I regained consciousness, I felt slightly bewildered because they were calling me by my screen name, Tapu, which didn't register immediately," says Rashmi with a laugh. It was only later that she called her mother up to ask her to fetch her from the mall. "I really want to thank the people in the mall for taking care of me. I've been ignoring my health for some time now but this incident is making me work towards adopting a healthier lifestyle," says the pretty actress.

She's the perfect blend of innocence that's alluring and attractive and her presence has made TV viewing a lot easier on the eye.

She's Tina Datta, popularly known as Ichcha - her serial name. Isn't she worried about losing her identity to Ichcha? She says, "Worried? No! This character has given me all the name and fame I always wanted. And as far as retaining my identity is concerned, I think it's the roles I choose in future which will determine that. If I keep doing more of the same, obviously Ichcha will be remembered. But, if I choose roles that are varied I will be known for my versatility, which is what I am aiming at." All set to visit to the city today, Tina speaks to TOI about erratic TV schedules, film offers and how she handles controversies...

Roles galore
It was a negative character in a Bengali serial that started the barrage of offers for Tina. She says, "So you see I got the positive roles because I did one negative role pretty convincingly." Now is she also eyeing filmy roles? "Why not," she says, adding, "After all I had worked in Choker Bali and Parineeta! However, my first priority is my serial. The hectic schedule does tire me, because koi chhutti hi nahin milti! But, if I don't work at this age, when will I?" And how was it working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan? Tina gushes, "Her simplicity swept me off my feet! I clicked so many pictures with her and she never even once showed disinterest."

Festive fervour
With the actress having a packed schedule, ask her if she misses going to Kolkata, her home city, for the festivities and she says, "I do very much! It's Durga Puja time and during this time I would shop so much with my friends and family. Even today I call up my friends and ask them what clothes they've bought and from where! I miss Kolkata during the puja. Wahan ke celebrations ka rang hi alag hai!" And how is she gearing up for her Nagpur trip? "I am looking forward to being among the Nagpurians and I also plan to play dandiya as I am coming here to attend a garba night."

Growing uP
Showbiz and glamour are teachers of sorts and Tina gives an example of this when she speaks about controversies. The actress who was linked with her co-stars Nandish Sandhu and Rohit Khurana says, "Earlier this kind of gossip would bother me. But, then I learnt to sort out the matter on the sets itself as we are all friends; and it worked. So, now when rumour mills on my 'love life' begin, I actually relax!" As she laughs saying this, ask her if this peaceful reaction is because she is now attached and she says, "No way! I am very much single. Koi ladka mujhe propose hi nahin karta! Even my friend list on my social networking account are mostly girls!"

Ichcha versus Tina
While fans are used to seeing Tina in traditional Indian attire, Tina giggles and says, "I am like Ichcha in many respects, but when it comes to clothes, I am more comfy in my jeans and tees. Also, though I have simple needs in the serial, in reality I love to shop till I drop and basically splurge on clothes. I am also into social networking, chatting, texting etc."
