Television's recent history is underlined by obituaries of Nupur ('Miley Jab Hum Tum') and Sadhna ('Bidaai'), but it is the hell-abode Vansh (pun intended), who has the entire nation mourning. Vansh's suicide has brought utmost joy to Colors and Pintoo Guha as their show 'Uttaran' has regained the number one spot with a staggering 8.4 TVR.

The episode, that aired on July 15, saw, Vansh (Rohit Khurana) shooting himself after he learnt that Tapasya is the reason for causing all divide in the Bundela family. 'Uttaran' started off the week slowly garnering just 4.1 TVR. It improved to 5 and 5.4 in the following days before taking a jump of 3 TVR on tragic Thursday. Ironically, the show lost equal number of TVR on Friday to finish the week at 5.3.

Rival 'Tere Liye' on Star Plus could only muster an average TVR of 3.3 during this week. Zee TV's 'Pavitra Rishta', which was number one last week, missed the top spot purely because of Uttaran's performance on Thursday. The Balaji show though got a better average TVR of 6.1 vis--vis 'Uttaran' (5.6). The Zee TV show, which airs at 9.00 pm, fetched a peak TVR of 6.5 on Thursday. 'Pratigya' (5.1) is the top rated show for Star Plus.

Meanwhile, Star Plus continues to lead the GEC table with 356 GRPs. Colors (291) gained 36 GRP more from previous week, to reclaim the second spot. Zee dropped to third with 252 GRPS. Sony (135) remained untouched at number 4, while both SAB (92) and Imagine TV (80) dropped 12 GRPs to remain at five and six positions respectively.

Nandish Sandhu's fitness mantra

Nandish brushes his teeth in car!

Guess what happened recently? A group of people in the middle of the road were shocked to see a TV actor sitting in his car and brushing his teeth!

Well, the actor in question is Nandish Sandhu. It so happened that a few days ago, Nandish overslept and when he woke up he had to rush to his sets immediately. So he picked up everything he needed to get ready and headed to his car. Nandish removed his toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing his teeth while sitting in the car, much to the amusement of people around. After that he started getting dressed for which he had to undo his seat-belt to change into his shirt when suddenly out of nowhere an RTO official came and knocked his window. An embarrassed Nandish got out of the car and told his story to the official, who had a hearty laugh and then allowed Nandish to proceed without any more hassles, of course after he posed for a picture and signed an autograph!

Tapasya of Uttaran

She is fondly called Tapu. She has a royal upbringing. She is very close to Ichcha but she gets frustrated if Ichcha gets all the attention. She had thrown a tantrum that she won't marry Veer and asks Ichcha to befriend him. When she discovers that Veer is rich, she starts throwing tantrums again that Ichcha is spending too much time with him.

Why The Track Of 'Uttaran' Was Changed?

If the buzz is to be believed than there was a genuine reason for the production people to get the track of Colors' 'Uttaran' changed. Obviously, one of the reasons was TRP but there is something else because of which the track has suffered a drastic change.

"As per the recent track, the show has suffered a drastic change with the loss of its one important character named Vansh and due to which the show has gained lot of good ratings. But that is not the only reason to get the track changed. The other reason is the relationship between Nandish Sandhu (Veer) and Rashmi Desai (Tapasya)", says an insider.

The buzz is also that even though they have not declared publicly about their relationship, they both are dating each other in real life. A source from the sets further informs, "Rashmi and Nandish shared a great rapport on the sets of 'Uttaran' and they used to talk for long time while shooting. The duo was less concered about the shooting and the scenes. Sometimes it happened that the directors are calling them to give their shot and this duo is busy with each other without paying heed to the work. So this was a deliberate effort of the production house to keep the couple away from each other".

We tried to call Rashmi and Nandish but they both remained unavailable for comments.

We won't call both of them as an irresponsible couple but we can surely call them less professional, what say?

Veer and Tapasya throw tantrums
Rashmi and Nandish shared a great rapport on the sets of 'Uttaran' and they used to talk for long time while shooting. The duo was less concerned about the shooting and the scenes, which irritated the producers and directors of the show, who decided to keep the couple away from each other.

Faizal Khan - Ayub Khan

He known for negative role in Banno Main Teri Dulhann. We are talking about Faizal Raza Khan who considers Ayub Khan of Uttaran fame as his godfather.During his early days Ayub has helped him a lot. Now they are best buddies.

Faizal Raza Khan says, "When I came to Mumbai, there was no one to support me. At that time, Ayub bhai helped me a lot. He taught me everything, and I even learnt how to keep rozas while shooting at odd hours. From him, I have learnt how to shoot in adverse situations and never give up. He is very cool person but he always tells me to focus on the role which I think is very important for every actor. Keep in touch.
