Actually that's his exact plan. That even during the prep he'll realise he's feelings for tejo because he'll get jealous.

Let Tejang be friends, Angad leaves. But here's the thing, Fateh's redemption will begin with realising he loves Tejo yet lets her go, because he realises his actions were f**ked up. He stays alone and works on himself. Meanwhile he knows about Simran saga and gets her ex punished. He works on himself, and Tejo has been healing, they stay away for a year or so. Fateh actually matures and Fatejo restart then, once Tejo isn't naive and emotional fool anymore.

His initial plan was tejo never agreeing, and then even if she does fateh being jealous.

Makers spoiled every character, but KSV was one strong character which they shouldn't have played with.
