@mandy, Hi, had been a silent reader but couldn't help myself from posting on this topic, so here are my two cents.I feel to make suraj and chakor equal, the CV's want suraj to go thro' every struggle that chakor had gone thro' before and that's why they've created a situation for suraj that's similar to chakor's last year, wherein suraj has got badly trapped in his own web of lies and silly decision with the whole world abandoning him. But, because of the character growth that chakor has already had coz of her fight for bastiwaale and sufferings since childhood, there's a difference in approach of both.
While chakor understood that its just not her, but vivan and imli are in equal pain, she bore their insults quietly and focused on unearthing the truth, suraj is so immersed in self-pity that he's not able to see anything beyond himself. MY past, MY mistake, MY guilt, MY redemption, MY decision, MY badnaami, MY tanhai, MY life destroyed, why is chakor not understanding ME, and so on. If he keeps on doing My, My, he'll not reach anywhere. If only he starts thinking that coz of me chakor is also in equal pain, she's also suffering, what can I do to lessen her pain, then he himself will find the solution to this problem, gather evidences of his innocence and end this mess.
Secondly, while chakor last year wasn't just sitting and crying but was constantly trying to do something to get herself out of the mess, suraj unfortunately is only crying, sulking, resorting back to alcohol, forcing himself on chakor, all signs of a weak character. His perspective need to shift from "chakor left ME to "I forced chakor to leave me, and then he'll realize that raita usne phailaya hain so usse hi saaf karna padega. Its human to err, usse galti ho gayi hain and now crying over spilled milk will do no good, rather be a man, take the onus on his head and rectify his mistake.
The reason suraj respects chakor so much is coz she never gives up even if the whole world is against her. She is a fighter and a winner. He always says tum haar nahi sakti , tum jeetne ke liye bani ho. Suraj, tum bhi jeetne ke liye hi bane ho, just stand up on your own two feet and start fighting.
