and when her truth gets out in your story sarthak and malhar se bhi ek ek thappad padwao
beech beech mein uski bezti karwaao
anupriya se daant padwao
har taraf se padna chahiye usse.
and if possible moksh se budiya AS ko thang karwao
like raaste mein paani daale aur yeh phisal ke gire.

Chapter 6 – The Aftershock
Next morning, Malhar woke up early with a severe headache. He had no idea where he was or how he had gotten there. The last thing that he could remember was being at the party and then everything else was a blur. His entire body was feeling like as it had taken a beating. He notices some bruising on his arms and a bandage on his forehead. His mind starts racing, trying to figure out what had transpired with him. He immediately looks to Kalyani’s side of the bed which was still intact. It did not look like anybody had slept in that section. He then looks at his phone which was displaying 5 am, this was a little startling to him as Kalyani was not really an early riser. He quickly gets off his bed and heads out to the main yard to look for her. He tries calling her cell phone but it goes straight to voice mail. He keeps trying to reach her but the call doesn’t go through. His heart was now filled with an uneasy feeling, indicating some kind of trouble that had befallen his loved one.
Once he reached the main yard, he called out Sarthak and Anupriya who rushed to his aid. He checked with them about Kalyani’s whereabouts. Sarthak and Anupriya were both taken a back for a moment but let him know that Kalyani was with him when they left the venue yesterday. They were also shocked to see him in a bandage and start questioning him about what had happened. He expresses that he didn’t remember anything or being with her and that she was currently nowhere to be found. Suddenly the entire atmosphere of the house becomes grim and panic sets in. The trio frantically try to locate her but in vain. Anupriya was starting to feel like as though someone has sucked the life out of her. Malhar who instructs Sarthak to keep trying Kalyani’s phone, calls Pawar and Rao to initiate a trace on her phone. He also heads to the portico where he notices that his car was missing. He immediately informs his team about the same and heads in to get dressed so that he could personally go out and look for his Kalyani. No matter what was going on between them, Kalyani had always been his true north. Her absence was maddening him.
Due to this commotion, the entire Ahilya Niwas was now up and Kalyani’s situation was shared with them. Though Aaosaheb was always wishing ill on Anupriya and Kalyani, there was still a part of her which acknowledged Kalyani’s relationship with her. She wondered what could have happened and tries consoling Anupriya who was completely broken. On the other hand, Avni who was aware of everything pretends to be shocked while being a silent spectator. Mukku who was looking for his mother, was unable to find her. He comes to Anupriya and starts demanding an answer. An already distraught Anupriya was in no shape or form to answer Mukku. She just instructs him to go back to his room and wait for his Mother there. Mukku was an innocent but a mature child, he notices the tension in the room and leaves not wanting to add more to it.
By this time, Malhar also would have gotten dressed and was about to leave home when his phone starts ringing. Everyone eagerly looks to him in hopes of identifying Kalyani’s location. Malhar receives Pawar’s call who informs him something that shatters him completely. He drops down on his knees and starts weeping. Sarthak and Anupriya who were already tensed, were now terrified. They snap Malhar out of his trance and enquire about what he was just informed. Malhar who was still crying, informs them that their car was in an accident and was found abandoned on the highway. Kalyani’s phone was in it but she was nowhere to be found. Everyone around him except the witch were in a state of horror. Anupriya loses her cools and demands to be taken to the scene of the accident. The trio then head to the location leaving Mukku in Aaosaheb’s care who willingly accepts it. Throughout the drive, Anupriya was constantly praying to god for her daughter’s safety. She was crying out in pain that she was not ready to lose her Kalyani once again. Then Sarthak’s reality also set in, he realises how petty he was in blaming Kalyani for the rift between him and Anupriya when it was no fault of hers. He starts hating himself for all the times that he would have taunted her about Swara or Anupriya. His heart sinks thinking that the girl who had always treated him as a father figure had been gravely let down by his ego. The thought of losing her was now filling him with immense guilt. He prays for her safe return and clutches Anupriya’s hand in solidarity. Malhar who was driving the vehicle, was in his own world of pain. He had completely lost his sense of reality.
The trio arrived at the accident site in despair only to witness a completely totalled car. Malhar rushed to the driver side door but what he finds there leaves him in state of dismay. The steering wheel was be covered in her blood and the seat was filled with her broken bangles, one of her earring was lodged near the speedometer which indicated that she had hit her head hard against the steering wheel on impact. As he looks further in, he finds her phone stuck near the hand brake and lastly finds her mangalsutra hanging on her seat belt. The scene was one of horror which left the trio completely broken and Malhar was inconsolable. They couldn’t believe their own eyes, their minds were filled with innumerable questions. Where was Kalyani? What had happened to her last night? Who was behind it? – were some of the questions echoing in their minds.
Anupriya who had enough of it now, grabs Malhar by his collar and demands an explanation. As far as she remembered, he was the last person to have seen her – how could he not have known what had happened with her Kalyani? – She needed some clarity and she needed it right away. Malhar had no answer to give her as he himself did not remember anything. She starts pestering him for some kind of explanation. Sarthak steps in to diffuse the situation, only to be pushed back by Anupriya who outright warns him to back the hell up. Anupriya was not a person to be messed with today.
Sarthak pulls himself together and thinks that the next logical thing to do would be to visit the resort with hopes that they could get more information there. He informs the same to Anupriya and Malhar, who immediately agree and the trio leave for the resort.
What is Malhar going to do without his Kalyani? How is going to react when he finds out about what had happened? Does he still remember that Mukku is Moksh? Find out more in Chapter 7.
