^^ by going back and never confiding in anyone...she has really weakened her case. Because if she had complained when he let her go first time then yes her case would be straightforward.

But by choosing to go back after plotting and planning then it changes the whole case.

Legally its very murky...the only way it can 100% stick if she makes up lies about being threatened to return or as such.

Basically it's a legal mess now with around 50% of either side winning depending on how good their lawyers are.

I doubt the show will go that far ...the case will probably be dropped before it reaches that far because it's still a show about Uma-Kanak.

Indeed a legal mess...

Police will take the complaint and action based on it but a good lawyer will make a throw all arguments presented in a dustbin...
US will walk out as a free man...
