Is Uma's arrest justified?

I happened to read here how many people think that Uma's arrest is not justified.

But what if tha same thing that happened to kanak were to happen with Saras.

Imagine if she was in another's town and a man, let's assume from another religion, got signs from his god that saras was his soulmate and forcibly married her. Then forced her to live according to his religion, eat as per his religion and also make sure she could not run away.

Saras somehow was able to run away but then she realised that something of hers( let's say her father's ring which is the only thing she has of his) is left with her so called husband and decided to go back and trick him into giving it to her.

Then later after getting the ring she returns back to Uma and he comes to know about all this.

How do you think he should react?

Or rather if he were to get that man arrested would that arrest be justified?

My opinion - No it's not justified now

It is 100% justified when she got Uma arrested once she escaped from Kerala...

I agree they are things in our life which holds high value and losing them scares us

But it's not over your life and dignity..

We should find other ways to get it back if it is risky

We are justify Kanak returns for Bhabho as well Vansh letting her stay after knowing the truth

Leave Uma aside for a moment...

Why create bond with others and create hope just think...

She want to prove that she won't fit there right then why she intefers...

Neither Uma is Sooraj nor Kanak is Sandhya ...

Whenever you have selfish reasons related to someone close to you doesn't justify the action...

Kanak refused to go back with Uma and want to null/void the marriage, 100% agreed

She used him for her reasons too so arrest is not justified as he haven't forced him on her.

I think I'd reserve my opinion until I see the actual episode and see in what context he was arrested.

It has to be more than just because he married Kanak by force...for that Ved and Vansh insulted him enough in their home...😳

Uma getting arrested for forcefully marrying Kanak it's 100% justified. Whether Kanak went back to him for some hidden motive of hers is different issue. He is arrested for crime he committed ie,forcefully marrying someone.. When such marriage is null and void from the very beginning the point of Kanak accepting it is futile.

He is arrested as per complaint they received it's sure Kanak will save him... But it's some kind of justice.. You won't be let scott free after committing a crime in name of dharam, prada!

Kanak should have gotten US arrested when she was back in pushkar...she willingly went back...

In many shows/ movies hero and heroine marry by thier parents wish. They dont't love each other, sometimes they haven't ever seen each other or even hate each other. They try to oposite but finally the elders have last word and the two young-people are trapped in an undesired union.

Just a simple question: Should these parents be in jail?

I only talk about shows, any similarity with real life is accidental.

a crime is crime. Nothing undoes what Uma does...what if a rape victim marries the rapist in the name of family honor? Was it no longer rape? He kidnapped n married a woman without her consent. No is no! He didn't accept that no. There is no justification. Kanak decides to return so what? It doesn't mean she consented to being married against her will. Also she has always been clear that she doesn't see their relatiinship working as they are too different. So, when has she accepted the marriage?

Sorry, as you referred Rape and victim getting married , it's rape not punishable by law..

We are not saying Uma is right but arrest is not legal..
