I agree. Cinematography at the garden they were working on was really awesome. To add to that, the actors are good looking and emote well.

apology, I don't know your name.
Your perspective, your analysis of the story is spot-on as far as I can tell from the story line being shown. Yes, in my opinion (disclaimer: my opinion only) there are still very many male dominated mindsets even if you see or made to believe or think otherwise or is shown otherwise in any culture any where in this world because one never knows the other individual's psychological thoughts at any given time.

I cannot tell if this will ever change in society but IMHO, it's the female gender who has too take ownership of herself both physically and mentally and "BE" or more the "I am" to become more and more stronger as time passes by. I will try to read more of your opinions whenever I can. Thank you again, love reading through all the replies. Alex

Hey there alex-- thank you for reading and commenting..much appreciated 😊

Yes exactly, agree that male dominated mindset is still prevalent--- its this that infuriates me, the helplessness of girls stuck in that zone... but all this is deviation from show... i really hope and wish the show, takes such a way that it actually depicts the effect of change, it isnt an overnight change, but steady baby steps towards enlightenment...

Yes dear, the change one wants begins with self... girls/boys opressed or not, need to have clear understanding of their stance in life..

Everyone has an opinion that they are right, and everything else is wrong, this inability to balance your and mine opinion and looking it as a whole, creates chaos. --- i hope i made sense😳

P.s- i will look forward for your comments in future.

He just believe all that stuff blindly without applying logic or his own thoughts... So it will be fun to see him change his views... Not defending Uma... I still hate him for 2 forced marriages but still really can't hate him... As anu said this was expected from him and so didn't really surprised me...
Also blue awesome post from most neutral viewpoint without taking any sides..
Today's epi is worth this discussion and ao happy to read everyone's views reg today's epi...

And btw i loved the bed scene... Comic relief before the storm...
It was hilarious 🤣 have rewatched it so many times...

Also we always get to know kanaks monologues now I want uma s monologues...
Cant wait for kanak to run away and the journey of diya Aur Baati to begin

And Uma is angry seeing her state... Her clothes more then her completing the task...

@Bold : You know thats exactly what i felt but forgot to write it out. He was justifying himself saying "I didnt make these rules, this is what is written in Vedas, so it has to be right. You didnt read them so you dont know" . It basically shows that he is blindly following what is written in vedas.

Also he did say that he saw families separating because women went out to work(or whoever didnt follow the rules that men should go out to work and women should stay home and take care of family). So he also seems to have formed this opinion about working women seeing someone's experience.

Ohh this. It's usually for the trolls, who look up on such opportunities to devour, and take the whole agenda to a different level.. it was for them to think thats its a show, let it be.

we all are invested, but most of us here are level headed creatures, or so I believe...my time here has brought some amazing people to discussion.. and each and every one respects the opions of others...

Love you all 😊

I liked that he didn't pry at all. He is giving her space when it comes to her family or personal things.

Apologies for jumping in between.. i have made a habit of it 😳

When US mentions that its in the vedas, and thats the way it should be ---- what US is unable to understand that, the time of Vedas was simpler times, fewer people, less commotion, less hustle bustle, world without technology... what he fails to grasp is that using Vedas, he can bring knowledge to kalyug, rather than staying in the darkness by staying true to Vedas in todays world.

Uma is beacon of knowledge for Ladno, but it is darkest below the lighting lamp.. same is with US.

ha ha Blue its we hijacking your thread 😆. But i wait everyday for you to open a thread so that we can chit chat 😆

I agree, what he believes in are very old rules and traditions, which were written for different mindsets. Even the constitution is amended every so often to suit the new and changing times. He needs to apply his knowledge to the changing times. Not all what he thinks/read is relevant today.
