Yes the clash was super interesting, I have no where said that " all old is wrong" but the way US sounded and believed is wrong. He says it's the way it is. These are the rules one has to follow.
Being an ayurved educated person he gave lame excuse that working women are unfit to have kids. I agree today's lifestyle is all hustle hustle, but still declaring it wrong is, wrong.

Exactly point on is that nayi soch is not about thrashing the old, no it's about combining the best of both and portraying the jist of it. A beautiful depiction of how old and new walk hand in hand to the brightest future they can imagine.

I for some reason was not furious at this. I wasnt expecting anything less from him. He is shown to have all these regressive thoughts and today he just voiced them. His character is very deep and well written i feel. It will be so much fun to see such a person change.

Also I think he is really not that regressive... It's just that he believes in whatever had been taught to him since his childhood... The atmosphere he grew up in... As he said meri soch choti nahi hai... Ye sab ved puran me likha hai and all...
He just believe all that stuff blindly without applying logic or his own thoughts... So it will be fun to see him change his views... Not defending Uma... I still hate him for 2 forced marriages but still really can't hate him... As anu said this was expected from him and so didn't really surprised me...
