Do you agree with this statement regarding South Indian Box office ?

The numbers for South Indian movies are inflated to create the hype ,and that is why their opening figures are so high. I saw the statement posted on another thread. Created the new topic to avoid the deviation of that thread. Does that mean BO number of Bahubali series, KGF, Pushpa were also highly inflated?

Its true. You can always tell when people are faking it.

I mean with the amount of conspiracy theories you read about Bollywood box office, it's a little surprising every one takes South numbers at face value.

Not just South....major movies post COVID have exaggerated and fake collections in BW as well. This is just a trick to lure the audience back to theatres and of course personal gain by the actors/ producers.

I have some movie buffs around me....they haven't really gone to many movies this year. Pathan was one I can think of which was watched majorly. Rest all seem to be fake numbers to me.

I dare not hope that Animal's numbers are inflated. At the rate it is going even few politicians might be clicked outside the theatre smiling and waving at the camera.
