My all time favourite is Pyaasa.❤️😳

Gurudutt a esteemed actor & director -although he had directed only 8 movies.His movies were a blend of artistic excellence & commercial aspect and depicted human emotions in ways people could never comprehend.

A broad message that movie depict is-

"To be true to himself,a man has to lose the world."

It is about the sacrifices which are demanded by the world to follow one's dreams-family, respect & even love.It explores the dangers of the commercial,selfishly fickle world which patronises & abandons art.

Don't we see a parallel to the present?😒

No wonder it was said a movie ahead of its time.😎

"Kisi ke jazbaat aur khayalaat jo jaan liya to fir uske bare mai janne ke liye bacha hi kya."

This was Gurudutt's eminence.He looked for the beauty of man not in the body,but in his ethics or values.❤️

Movies are a powerful medium for conveying emotions.But when silence or blur convey emotions more effectively and when Ultra High Definition-ye Gurudutt jaise director hi bata sakte hai.Present day director's have better technology and tools than his time,but neither they have feeling nor conscience.Bas black money aur evil mind hai.

If you had come to know any person properly,then you have come to know Brahma.Kyunki Brahma to har kisi mai hai.

Geeta mai Sri Krishna bhi kehte hai-

"Jaida jankar tu kya karega,tu bas mujhko jan le."

Gurudutt bhi Waheeda Rehman se kehte hai-

"Shareer ko jaankar kya karegi,tu bas uske andar wale ko jan le."

Such was the depth in his thoughts & writing.❤️

“Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye”

The film’s final song elevates the film to an astonishing musical & dramatic crescendo! As the song builds from a whisper to a scream, Rafisaab’s steady voice breaks as admirers break into a rioting mob. Breathtaking cinematography!

The sequence was a mind blowing example of how a filmmaker can mix the visual and sound elements of a cinema to a storyline in order to construct a powerful emotional purpose.

It triumphantly sets Guru Dutt as an epitome of perseverance and dedication, in the art of making films.The timeless nature of Pyaasa comes from the eternal question that humans have always had – ‘What is the meaning of life?’ Indeed a film based on the eternal struggle between man's materialistic and spiritual quest.

After 65 yrs of its release,Pyaasa happens to be more relevant than ever.After all there has hardly ever been a more realistic representation of society's double standards & hypocrisy.It makes us relaise that Society has mostly changed on surface level,it's painfully still the same ,or perhaps even worse.😒😭

Kitna pyaara message deti hai ye movie.❤️❤️
