Has anyone watched Emily in Paris (Netflix)?

What are your thoughts on the show?

Do you think they show the French in an authentic light?

I loved it and binged on it when it came out. Looking forward to the second season.

Made in Heaven and Emily in Paris are the only 2 shows whose second season I'm dying to watch!

yes and it was so xenophobic towards French people and racist towards Chinese . wish they do better in s2 rather than showing how superior Americans are and how mean French people are

I watched it. Not worth watching, except for the lead girl's styling which was impressive.

It wanted to be what The Devil Wears Prada was, but fell flat on its face.

I put myself through 1 episode of that crapfest before I decided enough was enough.

There's been a lot of criticism of the show for depicting the French the way they do 😕

Contrary to popular opinion, I feel they have shown the French in a balanced light. French ARE rather mean in general, those stereotypes are not just stereotypes, they are snobbish and I have experienced that first-hand. They are aesthetically inclined and have high standards in art, fashion and food. They are promiscuous. They are also cultivated, sophisticated and well-read. So I never felt they went overboard with the depiction.

My sister made me watch it..girly stuff but not bad..timepass and visually stunning..they captured Paris so well

anyone seen The Morning Show starring my fav Jen? She won a SAG award for it and i am normally very curios about anything that stars Aniston! My eternal fav..Reese is good too..but have yet to see this one

I haven't seen The Morning Show, but I recently watched Masaba Masaba and loved it. I need that chick-flick narrative once in a while, it' such a breezy watch and feel-good factor makes the characters come alive.
