Recently I watched an old interview of Daniel Day Lewis. He was very clear why he is choosy and doesn’t accept many movies. He said, the character, consequences of the character’s  actions, director’s vision and his own conscience play a part in choosing the role.

I know it is like comparing apples to oranges but it’s high time actors (TV or movie) stood up against such disgusting scenes and refused to do it unless the makers modify. I am sure whatever they are going to show after today to rectify/redeem Dhara’s character will never be enough for me. The makers dropped the ball, big time. I am going to simply ignore her and forward her exclusive scenes or even for that matter with Gautamsmiley5 I haven’t watched too many Indian TV shows, but whatever they showed in the form physical abuse/violence would be ranked high up there or it could be even the worst scene ever to be shown on ITVsmiley7

Well said! Dhara can never be the same for me either.. will have to forward her scenes like DevTa until a proper redemption is shown for her ðŸ˜• which I doubt they will since that's not what itv does

I don't think tv actors have much of a say in what they want to act, all sense of social responsibility is lost in the rat race for trp and upping the drama quotient🤢

Congratulations on the new EDT!

I posted this in the last page of previous EDT. Thought would post it here again to get other members thoughts.

As for violence on ITV, I have seen other scenes that are probably at par or worse... it’s unfortunate because that ITV feels the need to show such scenes for the sake of drama and never addresses its aftermath.

A solid proof that ITV never changes: Prerna from KZK beat Prem with a stick back in the early 2000’s. The same in happening in 2021. Never once is it addressed how wrong this form of punishment and abuse is! The FL is angry and that’s why bechari has the right to take it out on the one whose has done wrong *rolling my eyes*

At this point we should stop expecting ITV to change.
