Also from the last EDT:

I wish Rishita had stepped in and stopped Dhara! smiley29

Didn't she have a problem with Dev being hit? smiley24 She was okay to watch Krish get a thrashing! Hypocrisy thy name is Rishita!

They are also butchering Rishita's character which is a character with unlimited possibilities!

Physically torturing the male leads and mentally torturing female leads is typical in itv to up the drama quotient.. social responsibility be damned

We simply can't expect anything more 🤢

Shiva was actually flinching when Dhara hit Krish. A part of me feels super uncomfortable thinking that this has happened in the past as well. Dhara may love them a lot but no one has the right to abuse another human being. Coming from a household where my parents never raised a hand on me nor my bros (who have done some pretty bad things), I can’t even imagine how it feels to be subjected to something like that. The worst part is that it will never be addressed as being horrible. Instead, everyone else will feel guilty that Dhara had to go through so much “stress”.

The Pooja will end in 6 months, since 1 day was 10 days long, 15 days will be 6 months long!

Literally the only reason why I wanted Shiva to take the beats was purely so Krish didn't have to. But it was just as torturous to watch.

Even I've done pretty bad things, maybe not terrible terrible, but worse than Shiva and Krish for sure, things that people would see as disrespectful if they didn't know the context behind it. Just last week an incident happened! My loved ones could never treat me so inhumanely, I was properly reprimanded and parented - not just by my mum and dad, but my sister, brother, khala, chachi, chachu. I guess that makes me privileged.

That's what I hate - it's going to be omg poor Dhara, the stress must be so bad for her! I feel like people on twitter did express their disgust, Insta is abit nicer 😆. Just need the criticism to reach the makers so they can take all this on board. I swear if Krish, Shiva or Raavi are ever butchered like this.

Congratulations on the new EDT!

I posted this in the last page of previous EDT. Thought would post it here again to get other members thoughts.

I have a sincere question? Do Indian TV actors have a say in the script? How did Shiny agree to act in such a scene? Doesn’t she have a social responsibility or conviction or they do it just for money?

Recently I watched an old interview of Daniel Day Lewis. He was very clear why he is choosy and doesn’t accept many movies. He said, the character, consequences of the character’s actions, director’s vision and his own conscience play a part in choosing the role.

I know it is like comparing apples to oranges but it’s high time actors (TV or movie) stood up against such disgusting scenes and refused to do it unless the makers modify. I am sure whatever they are going to show after today to rectify/redeem Dhara’s character will never be enough for me. The makers dropped the ball, big time. I am going to simply ignore her and forward her exclusive scenes or even for that matter with Gautamsmiley5 I haven’t watched too many Indian TV shows, but whatever they showed in the form physical abuse/violence would be ranked high up there or it could be even the worst scene ever to be shown on ITVsmiley7

I have no idea if actors have a say or not. But I feel even if a scene like that is needed, the show should be responsible in showing it as CLEARLY wrong. No mixed messages! I feel actors should have that discussion with the makers, because they're a huge part of how the scene will come across. Ultimately they're just doing what they're told.

Copy pasting from another thread!

I have always felt bad for Dhara. The way Suman treated her, the way Gaumbi treated her post-wedding by sleeping with his brothers while Dhara figures out where to adjust, the way she sacrificed everything. She deserves all the love and admiration.

But that doesn't give her license to project her anger in a physically violent way! The way she spoke to Raavi and then taunted Rishita was sheer gaslighting.

The way she dragged Shiva and threw him in front of Raavi was obnoxious. It's been five days since the upheaval of marriage these people had! You can't expect people to start to sing Kumbaya at your feet or adjust to new changed scenarios!

Hell, even a simple marriage has so many complications! Does she even realise what trauma these people have gone through, especially Raavi-Shiva? Will throwing them together solve the purpose? She had no rhyme or reason to be talked to like that.

Could you give Raavi some peace and cut her some slack? She is still recovering from PTSD, and lady you were beating the shit out of family members!

I am sorry, eating food separately is not a crime! The same goes for not cooking for Shiva. What is precisely Shiva -Raavi’s fault? The girl was getting married to the man of her dreams. He is now roaming in front of her every second, kissing another girl. She got married to Shiva, who had done nothing but hated her. So, excuse her if she doesn't want to cook for him or take care of him. Shiva isn't a kid. Go and preach your gendered role division patriarchy sermons for yourself.

Spare her the horror and don't curse her ‘bhookhe maro.’

Seriously what bitterness!
