Hello everyone!
I wasn't exactly sure about the premise of the show or rather how it would be handled and stayed away from watching the show because let's be honest ITV addressing issues on patriarchy and feminism is something that I don't trust them to justice on. However having caught up with most of the episodes it cannot be denied that it is a well written show at least thus far and definitely deserves far more credit than it is getting at the moment. Aastha is such a well written character and so is her equation with Anokhi, Shaurya contrary to what I assumed is actually not a misogynist but defenitely holds patriarchal thoughts it will be interesting to see how he grows out of it (I am hoping that's where we are heading)
Anokhi is I believe a well etched out character thus far and has her own set of flaws too, she is idealistic and needs Shaurya's practical thinking to keep her grounded just like he needs her idealism and reality to confront his own bigotry. Debatma and Karanvir Sharma have a great screen presence together and if the makers cash in on this they would definitely be an onscreen couple to look out for! The hug scene was so beautifully done, it was not at all romantic in any sense but the fact that Anokhi in her shock and distress sought comfort in the most unlikely person and recieved both concern and care was something heartwarming and beautifully executed.
