Attraction & Accounting
He let his arm slide down after hugging her and just grabbed her hand possessively
âSo? What do I owe the honor?â he smiled his eyes dancing with happiness
âYour Dad tricked me, he said Mr Nahar wanted me to meet someoneâ she smiled nervously
âWonder what excuse would he have used if you two did not work togetherâ he leaned on the wall pulling her toward him
âRaanav we are basically in a glass roomâ she protested weakly
âDonât u think I donât know thatâ he groaned
âYou are so well dressed for a plane ride⌠I mean in a cool casual wayâ she sighed
He bend down and whispered in her neck âThanks Viveka Mathurâ
âYou even shaved?â
âHmm.. I didnât want to get off looking like a slobâ
âYou never look like a slobâ her eyes widened in appreciation
âYou are making me not wanna goâ he laughed biting his lower lip
âI will come up with something really uncomplimentary nowâ she closed her eyes and took a deep breath
Waves of separation anxiety swept through her
Her voice cracked âYou are just so uncaring to go away so frequentlyâ she whispered hoarsely
He expected a joke his expression changed
âVivekaa??â
She opened her now red eyes
âUffffâ âI cant say anything mean⌠kya kahoongi tumseâ she sniffled
âI am so sorryâ he sighed grabbing her left hand with his right, and gently stroking her cheek with the back of his fingers of his right
âI cant go with you every time or even one timeâ she said grimly
âWe can talk about thatâ he nodded
âNo I am not saying you should cut down or not goâ
âI knowâ
âWe are from the opposite worlds⌠the odds of us ending up together were less than zeroâ she sniffled and chuckled pushing her glasses up
âThose odds are very exciting to meâ he smiled softly
âIf I hadnât accepted your proposal you would hate them⌠or ifâ
âA pragmatic economist and a gift of gab lawyerâ he sighed and began to laugh softly
She turned pink when he combined their professions like that
âWhen you tease me it makes me nervousâ she declared feeling her belly muscles clench with excitement
âI will try and do it more Vivekaâ he rubbed her blazing hot cheek again
âI would give you a goodbye kiss⌠matlab⌠totallyâ she stared at his mouth and then looked into his eyes
âI say we throw caution to the winds and go for itâ
âSet a âprecedentâ for airport kissing you mean?â
He smiled gloriously revealing perfect teeth, her legal analogy turned him on
âViveka I am going to stay up on the plane wondering how the heck did you say yesâ he whispered
âIve been thinking about it tooâ she grabbed his caressing hand and held it on her neck
âThank u for making me part of your esteemed thoughtsâ he whispered
âI am not esteemed or anything⌠tumheâ
She stepped back when staff member walked outside, âtryingâ not to look
âHe must be wondering what the social worker is doing with the eliteâ she laughed as they both darted a glance out
âJust surprising the man she digsâ he offered an explanation and watched her blush again
âYou do have a way with wordsâ
âPhew⌠thank heavens I didnât choose Accounting then?â
They both laughed uncontrollably
Simmering tension erupted into a blaze of passionate jubilation
He bend down and stole a intense but brief kiss
Her blood roaring through her veins, she could hear her pounding heart in her ears like a drum
He bend down to receive the hot, damp salute that awaited him
âraanav⌠donât goâ she found herself swaying toward him like a tuning fork, as he tried to steady himself by gripping her smooth bare waist
âUghhhhâ he growled stumbling away from her, she did her signature âUfffâ and pushing of glasses
They both leaned back on the glass wall and surveyed the what was a somewhat private flyer resting cubicle area
A few men and women were bent over their laptops
âWhat do u usually do on a plane?â she asked turning toward him, much calmer
âWork or sleepâ
âU should watch moviesâ
âI might get drunk, or get a cold shower tonightâ he growled sitting down with a curse to hide his arousal
âMy Dad was going to go meet your parentsâ he said firmly
âOh?â the heart pounding was her best friend now
âIf you didnât have classes some week could you go?â he asked innocently
âYou would never get any work doneâ
âOn the contrary I would get LOTS doneâ he winked and reached for a bottle of water
âThat sounds insanely attractive right nowâ she moaned
âI am not wanting to wait 6 months Vivekaâ he said bluntly
âI am just afraid you might be rattled to realize how boring I amâ she smiled
âYou should have been a lawyer âŚ. the way you torment the opponentâ he said slowly..
âI am not very proud of myself this week Raanavâ
She hung her head
âI am blown away by how truthful you areâ he said with a long sigh
âI cant lie to myself can Iâ she looked up at him
âwhy do u hate yourself this week?â
âI should have told Abhishek sooner, in my mind I led him on while getting close to you at the same timeâ she got it out with long pauses
âHe doesnât deserve the honestyâ âIs what comes to mind immediately Vivekaâ
âAisa nahi hai Raanav⌠thatâs not meâ she shook her head
âI proposed to you, you did not make the first moveâ
âI agree⌠but I acted like I didnât have to share that with himâ
âYou told me off remember?â he asked piercingly
âThe non disclosure (hiding it from Abhishek) bothers me Raanavâ she said softly
âHes a grown man he can deal with itâ he said trying not to be too blunt
Thank you for the update, Nisha. I love how they both are communicating. Nisha, can you tell us how and why Viveka said 'Yes'? Dying to know what made her say 'Yes' and how Raanav reacted... đł
Philanthropy
Being wealthy does not automatically disqualify her to work with the underprivileged. In fact she can be a figure to look up to by all the wealthy circle. She can bring more attention to the cause.
Hi Nisha,
Than you for writing. Hope the rest of the week for you at work is better than Monday.
