Part 3
Deja vu.
It happened in the past. Someone announced this to him. 'I am pregnant' echoed in his mind. Who? Sam? Did she get pregnant?
He tried hard closing his eyes.
Side of his head began to throb with excruciating pain, blocking the blur vision which had been forming in his mind. Had it not the rallying which he held tightly he would have rolled back down the stairs.
He leaned back seeking the support of the wall. He concentrated on his breathing patterns as advised by his doctor.
After a few minutes the pain subsided so was the vision and so the reminiscences of a memory.
Instead of relief, dying pain stirred the storm in his heart. This girl...
His clenched fists tightened more. Raging shiver ran through him causing his giant self to tremble.
Instead of ascending the stairs, he climbed down.
..
..
………
God is merciful.
Savitri Devi looked up thanking the almighty. The merciful lord finally granted her wish.
Her eyes welled up. This time with happiness.
She held Geet's face lovingly and kissed her forehead.
"Aap janti nahi beat aap hume kitni badi khushi de rahi hain"
"So you were aware of her illicit relationship " Maan accused Savitri Devi
.
His eyes narrowed at Geet.
Shocked. She looked up.
Her watery eyes held his burning gaze ready to turn her to ashes.
His jaws clenched. The long sharp nose flared in anger.
"and happy too for the baby conceived of adultery…" he kept his eyes fixed on Geet.
"Maan…Aap jante bhi hain yeh aap kya keh rahe hain" Savitri Devi wasn't accepting such kind of accusation from her grandson.
'Jo sacha hain'
Geet squirmed at the allegation. She knows Maan has lost his memory but he has such a low view of her.
A shiver crossed her spine making her dizzy. She held the chair for support she had been standing by. Babaji aapne sari taklife bas mere nasib mein kyun likha babaji!. Isme bechare Maan ka Kasoor nahi hain...unhe jo dikh raha hain wahi keh rahe.
"Aur aap Dadima khushiya mana rahi thi iss baat….
Iss najayas bachche ka"
"BAS! Apne bachche ke khilaf ek aur shab nahi sunugi"
Maan glowered at her appalling her gall. She glowered and turned to leave for the outhouse.
She made a big mistake when she came here.
To be continued….
