He was so adorable in Mohabbatein . And floppy Abhishek Bachchan was given innumerable chances and not this guy. 😔

I like Jimmy! Bollywood, Punjabi films and much more. You can tell he doesn’t think any role, industry or platform is too small for him. I like his positive attitude. Every industry has competition, nepotism, groupism but overcoming that is true success.

I would like a list of all the industries that have such a toxic mafia like environment and where the head honcho hosts an embarrassing bitchfest tv show like KWK.

I don't think there is anything quite like it. The whole "it happens everywhere" so just suck it up and move on, is the most defeatist thing I've ever heard. I am actually astonished that so many people think like that. 🤔

I really like Jimmy Shergil and he has always been underrated in my opinion. He has his own views and I respect that. But I go with Manoj Bajpayee 's take on this debate. I found Manoj's take on the whole thing as the best so far.

Just because its not visible to the naked eye doesn't mean its not everywhere.....everything that happens in BW is loud unlike what happens in hush tones in a big corporate..

The point that Jimmy is trying to make...that trying to pinpoint the blame on a few in BW as a solution to nepotism ....is like applying band aid to the wound that requires surgery and stiches......nepotism is a systemic problem...which will take more than bashing a bunch of BW bigwigs and nepo kids......

The situation has become so ridiculous that now even the nepo kids and industry insiders who are a product of nepotism themselves and have failed are showing themselves as victims....like....OMG...that nepo kid got more chances than me...so I am a victim of nepotism.....u know the outcry is not working when the beneficiaries of a corrupt system start portraying themselves as victims...

That is why it is important to not witch hunt but to go about it systematically.....u can see the KJo in BW...there are several other KJos in every corporate....who are not visible to u...because hey...they don't have a KWK which airs before millions of people...but what they do happens in the meeting room and closed door offices,,,

and somewhere I read that nepotism being compared to casting couches?? I mean this comparison is ridiculous AF...and should be unacceptable....asking for sexual favors from someone because u r in power is a crime.....nepotism may be morally wrong...but not a crime...a father can still make a movie for his son....without giving chance to others...not a crime....

people should avoid going to these ridiculous comparisons as this only dilutes the case of nepotism debate.

So what exactly is Jimmy suggesting on how to make this industry less toxic? Just because this happens in a corporate industry, that means its okay if it happens in Bollywood?

I'm not sure what we are supposed to do, just accept it and move on? People just dont have an issue with nepotism, its about the bullying and politics. Shradha is a nepo kid but her followers increased after this because she is genuinely sweet and doesnt make obnoxious comments or has Kjo pull strings for her. I know its just not Kjo who does vile stuff but doesnt mean we shouldn't call him out. Look at what happened with the Disney announcements this week. People called them too. People called out Mahesh Bhatt too.

Again, I'm not sure what solutions Jimmy is providing to address this issue.
